Union Minister Piyush Goel narrate India as ‘voice of developing nations’ in Rome

On Wednesday, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal called India a ‘voice of developing countries and said today the country represents the global south. He expressed his views at a Gala Dinner in Rome in the larger presence of Italian and Indian business heads. Goyal stated that India is becoming the voice of a voiceless undeveloped nation because its issues are rarely discussed on a large stage. India always tries to be at the forefront of not only providing a better life for our people but also contributing to a better future in the world. 

 

“India today speaks for global south concerns, being the voice of developing countries, the voice of least developed nations has been at the leading edge of not only facilitating a preferable life for our population but also appropriately contributing to a better future for the masses in other parts of the globe, especially in those countries where race of development quite slow and lacking the basic amenities,” the Union Minister said. 

 

He further added that India’s rising power in the Internet sphere now has approximately 800 million users across the country and the 4G connectivity covers the entire region of the nation. Goyal said our government has ensured that no households are ever deprived of basic food, appropriate healthcare facilities and education. The government has always focused on digital transformation, recently 5G services were launched and by the end of this year, most of our cities will be covered under 5G connectivity smoothly. 

 

The Union Minister is currently on an official trip to France and Italy which is probably to provide a further boost to bilateral relations in the European region. Goyal addressing India-France Business Summit and roundtable discussions with CEOs in Paris. He told the participants and delegates that there are tremendous opportunities in India and invited all of them to take part in new India digital transformation initiatives.
