iOS 18: Apple will allow its users to customize home screen

Apple is all set to launch the next generation of iPhone platforms, iOS 18, which is expected to make a debut at its annual developer conference, the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2024. The focus of iOS 18 will be artificial intelligence, while it will put an equal emphasis on personalisation options enabled through home screen customizations on supported iPhone models.

iOS 18 would allow supported iPhone users to arrange icons more freely on the home screen. Moreover, it would let users create blank spaces, rows and columns between app icons, giving more personalisation options to the iPhone users. Android already offers this customisation option to users.

According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, iOS 18 will include artificial intelligence, making it the largest software update in iPhone history. Customizing the home screen on iOS 18 would be more convenient than on iOS 16.

Apple is also preparing for the anticipated March release of a redesigned iPad lineup. The Bloomberg writer claims that, despite the MacBook Air with M3 having already been released on March 4, the March 26 timeframe for the iPad unveiling is untrue.
