PM Modi criticizes Congress government in Germany, during his European visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a swipe at the Congress in Germany on Monday. He emphasized that his BJP government was ensuring that the country’s people received the maximum benefits.”Woh kaunsa panja tha jo 85 paise ghis leta tha,” the prime minister said as he addressed a crowd of almost 1,600 Indian community members. He was referring to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s words, which the Supreme Court has already highlighted, that only a small portion of the country’s earnings made it into people’s pockets. The BJP has used this statement multiple times to underline its success in ensuring that people benefit from the country’s progress.
“The way technology is being integrated into governance in India today shows New India’s political will… Now never will any Prime Minister have to claim, “I sent Re 1 from Delhi, but barely 15 paise reaches the people.” Prime Minister Modi stated.
The BJP government has transferred more than 22 lakh crore to beneficiaries through direct benefit transfer in the last eight years, according to the prime minister. “New India does not only plan for a secure future, it also takes risks, innovates, and incubates. Around 2014, I remember there being only 200-400 companies in our nation. Today there are currently over 68 thousand start-ups and dozens of unicorns.” PM added
Highlighting the BJP’s efforts to bring the states together, PM Modi further attacked Congress and said that in the past the country was one but there were two constitutions. He further questioned the former government and asked why it took so long to unite these states? At last, he said that now the BJP government has successfully united the states.
This Monday, Prime Minister Modi started his three-nation European tour with Germany. On Tuesday, he will be traveling to Denmark, after which he will travel to France.
