A huge controversy has erupted and this time it’s Congress MLA Ramesh Kumar from Karnataka who is in the trouble waters. He was seen making a shocking and sexiest statement in the Legislative Assembly. The senior leader, who has also been the former speaker in the Legislative Assembly, on Thursday, said, “There is a saying that when rape is inevitable, lie down and enjoy it.” Meanwhile, Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, the speaker in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly was seen laughing at the statement made by Kumar
The video of Kumar speaking those outrageous remarks had gone viral all over the social media platforms, drawing him huge criticisms from people. Later, when the video went viral, Kumar took to his Twitter and replying to a tweet about the incident apologized and said “I would like to express my sincere apologies to everyone for the indifferent and negligent comment I made in today’s assembly about “Rape!” My intention was not trivialise or make light of the heinous crime, but an off the cuff remark! I will choose my words carefully henceforth!”
His remark has sparked massive controversy and people from his old party (Congress) has condemned his remark. Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Sowmya Reddy wrote “The House shall apologise to entire womanhood, every mother, sister & daughter of this nation for such an obnoxious & shameless behaviour.”
