PM Modi takes a dig at Akhilesh, says “happy to watch people praying for my death”
“When people prayed for my death in Kashi, I was really happy and thrilled” while taking a dig at Samajwadi Party chief PM Modi stated. He further went on to say that “While everyone was happy of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham initiative others perceived it through the communal lens.”
On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the media said that his political opponents had “prayed for my death.” PM Modi told BJP activists in his Lok Sabha constituency, “We have seen how low people have sunk in Indian politics, but when prayers for my death were performed in Kashi, I felt happy.” PM Modi further claimed that opposition leaders treat their parties as private property and that they will never be able to confront the BJP, which is a workers’ party.
“When people prayed for my death in Kashi, I was really happy and thrilled” while taking a dig at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav speaking Modi stated. He further referring to Yadav’s remark from a few weeks earlier added, “Varanasi and the people here will not abandon me, I realized. It will be a great honor for me to die serving the people of Varanasi “. PM Modi also stated that serving the people of Varanasi until his death will be a privilege, referencing Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav’s remark that people flock to the city in their final days. Last December, when Modi opened the Kashi Vishwanath corridor in Varanasi, Yadav mocked him, saying that people stay in Kashi “when the end is close.”
Modi claimed that party workers are a university for him, from which he has learned a great deal. Modi said during the ceremony on the Sampurnanand Sanskrit university campus, “The dynasties that regard their parties as private properties can never challenge the BJP, which is a workers’ party that works entirely for the country’s development”. He blamed the previous administration for neglecting the pilgrim city and said that criminals were allowed to roam freely in the state.
During the Samajwadi Party’s tenure in Uttar Pradesh, Modi claimed, terrorists “operated without fear.” He claimed, “but nothing was done under the Samajwadi Party, which did everything to protect individuals convicted of terrorism.” According to Modi, the dynasties ignored Varanasi, but that is changing today. “The Kashi Vishwanath temple has once again met the Ganga’s bank after many years. UP is reaching new heights thanks to the double-engine government “said the Prime Minister.
Before 2017, there were just 33 medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh, according to Modi, but today there are 65. According to him, the BJP government has built over 10 lakh dwellings for the needy. He said that the government provided free rations to 15 crore families, including Dalits, those from the backward classes, and individuals from the general category. “In addition, 2.6 crore farmers in Uttar Pradesh have received Rs 43,000 crore in their bank accounts,” he added. Modi claimed that over Rs 11,000 crore had been invested in various initiatives in Uttar Pradesh aimed at cleaning up the Ganga, and he asked party members to remind people about the party’s achievements in the state. The prime minister stated that the development of holy sites such as Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj also leads to the development of religious places.
