Mother Dairy is going to increase milk prices by Rs 2 per litre in the region of Delhi-NCR from 5th March. The announcement came within days after Parag and Amul milk foods prices hiked by 2 Rs per litre each. The Diary giant said on Saturday that “ In view of the rising acquisition prices, fuel, costs, and costs of Packaging material, Mother Dairy is compelled to raise its liquid prices by Rs 2/litre in Delhi NCR with effect from March 6, 2022”.

The Revised price of products are released now.  The full cream milk will cost Rs 59 per litre as compared to earlier price of Rs 57 per litre. Prices of Toned milk will be Rs 49, while double toned milk will rise to Rs 43 per litre. Cow milk prices have been escalated to Rs 46 from 44 RS per litre. This has also led to increasing milk prices by Rs 2 litre in Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, and Uttrakhand. Mother Dairy is available in more than 100 cities all over the country. The company said” The company has been experiencing a surge in different inputs.

Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which retails milk and milk products under the Amul brand, had also announced the rise in milk prices by 2 Rs per litre from 1 march. Dairy Firms like Parag Milk Foods Ltd have also raised the price of the Gowardhan brand of cow milk by Rs 2 litre with effect from March 1. 

Only in Delhi-NCR, MotherDairy sells more than 30 lakh Litre per day in poly packets and vending machines.
