RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav gets married to Delhi’s Rachel Godinho, wedding pics out

RJD politician and Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav gets married to her long-time friend Rachel Godinho at Sainik Farms in the National Capital. 

Lalu Yadav’s younger son Tejashwi Yadav, today got married to her long-time friend Rachel Godinho at the Sainik Farms in South Delhi. Rachel will now be called Rajeshwari Yadav after her marriage. The news of the marriage was first announced by Tejashwi Yadav’s sister Rohini Acharya. Taking it to her Twitter handle, she tweeted “We are not together at the moment but my blessings are with both of you people. Congratulations to Tatu (Tejashwi) and Rachel. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness” (translation of her tweet in Hindi). She also shared a photo of the couple doing their marriage rituals. 

Tejashwi, who is the younger son of RJD patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav was the only one among all his siblings not married. As per the sources close to Tejashwi, the marriage took place as per Hindu rituals and was held at the posh Sainik Farms in South Delhi. It is also said that that the marriage was a private ceremony with limited numbers of guests being invited. Around 50 people involving close friends and family members were invited and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav along with his wife Dimple Yadav also graced the occasion with their august presence.

Commenting on the occasion, RJD MLA and the party’s chief spokesperson Bhai Virendra said that “We are very much happy for Tejashwi’s wedding. Tejashwi is the only one left among his siblings to get married and after the engagement, we look forward to a grand wedding and that the entire Bihar would join its beloved leader in his moment of happiness.”

As per several reports, the reason for Tejashwi opting to keep his wedding a low-profile one was to avoid large gatherings amid the rise in a number of cases related to the Omicron variant.
