Stage 360: An Affordable Dolby Atmos Soundbar From Singapore’s Creative Technology For The Indian Market

In the late 1980s, when personal computers had no sound, Creative Technology, the Singapore-based manufacturer and seller of personal digital entertainment devices, changed the world of entertainment audio with the Sound Blaster sound card. Now, it is revolutionizing the Indian market with the launch of its Dolby Atmos-equipped soundbar Stage 360. The soundbar, now available on Flipkart, has received accolades around the world. 

 Premium features like Dolby Atmos

 Most soundbars in the affordable segment of the market do not come with Dolby Atmos, a technology that is critical for an immersive music experience at home. 

 But Stage 360 does, and it is the first time that the affordable segment of the market will get a soundbar with this premium feature. Dolby Atmos is a revolutionary surround sound technology that creates an immersive and realistic cinema experience at home. It adds height and depth to the audio by creating multi-dimensional audio experiences – all without placing speakers on the ceiling or in the middle of your room. With Dolby Atmos, Stage 360 provides a full 360° multi-speaker experience — you can feel like you are in the middle of the action.

Stage 360 is also equipped with all-new racetrack-inspired drivers and a long-throw subwoofer with a high-excursion driver, which allows it to deliver an enhanced bass performance. Long-throw subs are designed to reproduce deep bass notes and to improve the overall depth and impact of the system. They are especially useful for situations where there is limited room depth, such as in small apartments or offices, and drastically improve the quality of sound. 

Faster connectivity options

Apart from best-in-class technology, there’s one more thing that makes Stage 360 attractive to users – its wide range of connectivity options. The most useful of these options is Bluetooth 5.0, the latest version of Bluetooth technology, and it offers faster, more reliable, and more power-efficient connections compared to previous versions. With Bluetooth, one can connect to the soundbar from any part of the house or office without the need to use wires.

Stage 360 also gives users the option of establishing a wired connection with the soundbar using the HDMI ARC port, HDMI 2.0 port, and optical-in port. 

“Users can easily set up the soundbar with a single HDMI cable connected straight to your TV’s HDMI ARC port, allowing you to reduce cable clutter,” a company executive told the publication.

Because of its exceptional range, Creative Stage 360 can be used anywhere in the house. Mobile and stationary users can connect hassle-free, ensuring a seamless, uninterrupted user experience. Moreover, the soundbar can be used to stream content directly from platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV+, Disney+, Hotstar, SonyLIV, and HBO Max, among others.

Technical specifications

The beauty of Stage 360 is that it doesn’t take up living room space because it is only 56.5 cm/22.2″ wide. Despite its tiny stature, Stage 360 delivers a strong sound and performs remarkably in areas with few people, which makes it a superb soundbar for all kinds of events, from Friday Netflix and chill sleepovers to weekend get-togethers with friends. 

 The subwoofer, which is 115 x 250 x 422 mm/4.5 x 9.8 x 16.6 inches in size, packs a lot of power and is the driver of the soundbar’s excellent performance. It has a high power output of 60W RMS. The total system power, on the other hand, is up to 120W RMS (Peak 240W). 

 The power and optical cables that the users get with the soundbar are 1.5 meters long. The subwoofer cable extends up to 2 meters, allowing users to place the subwoofer and the soundbar at some distance and giving them the option of moving these pieces around. 

“You can optimize your listening experience regardless of distance with Creative Stage 360’s dual sound placement features. Select near-field placement for setup distance within 3 ft / 1m from your seat placement, such as a desk, or switch to far-field placement via the IR remote control if your setup is beyond 3 feet/1 meter,” a Creative Technology executive says. 

The best-in-class aesthetics

 Apart from technology, the other thing that Creative Technology is known for is aesthetics — the word ‘creative’ in its name reflects the company’s focus on aesthetics as much as on innovative technology. And this focus on aesthetics is visible in Stage 360’s minimalist design. 

 “We are heavily invested in aesthetics, which is essential for us as a company. We also believe in investing in product design and research and development. We’ve always thought of products as art and technology projects, with technology and art forming essential elements. It’s not just about ensuring that the technology is effective but also about creating a beautiful product that people will want to use,” a Creative Technology executive in India told this publication.

The soundbar fits seamlessly into all kinds of decor – modern or traditional — and complements the equipment that you already have. This is important because you’re not going to throw away the existing equipment just because you’ve bought a new soundbar. 

Creative Technology 

In 1981, innovator and billionaire Sim Wong Hoo established Creative Technology in Singapore. As the maker of the Sound Blaster sound card, the company has been recognized in the entertainment audio industry as a source of great innovation for decades. 

The company has been credited with many innovations throughout its history. For example, in 2016, it developed X-Fi Sonic Carrier, a hi-resolution audio and video delivery system for home entertainment that was heralded as the ‘future of audio.’ 

Living up to its legacy, Creative Technology announced the launch of Super X-Fi Headphone Holography technology in 2018. Super X-Fi’s are unique because they create a custom audio profile using artificial intelligence based on a person’s unique anthropometry. Computational audio recreates the same studio-like listening experience in headphones, replicating the same original depth, detail, realism, and expansiveness as a studio.

 Creative Technology’s SXFI CARRIER is also available in India and comes equipped with Super X-Fi® Headphone Holography, a Dolby, and Creative collaboration. It delivers the same quality as 15.2 Sonic Carrier but at a much lower price.
