The Union Ministry of Ayush has announced that on June 21, events for International Yoga Day will be held in 26 significant locations throughout Delhi. These 26 destinations include prominent landmarks like the Commonwealth Games Complex, Red Fort, Lodhi Garden, and Kartavya Path, as well as other well-known parks including Nehru Park, Connaught Place Central Park, and Coronation Park.

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will host events at eight different places throughout New Delhi in accordance with the ministry's list. While the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will organise yoga classes at Red Fort, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will host sessions at 17 other venues.

Kuljeet Chahal, a member of the NDMC, stated that the planning for the ninth annual International Yoga Day in New Delhi is well on. "The yoga sessions, which will be hosted at eight different places with Kartavya Path serving as the main site, are expected to draw over 5,500 participants. 1,500 people would be accommodated at Kartavya Path by the NDMC, while 1,000 people will be accommodated at events in Lodhi Garden, Nehru Park, and Talkatora Garden, respectively,” according to Chahal, who also noted that nodal officers have been selected for each of the eight venues.

New Delhi Municipal Corporation officials stated, “The Yoga Day celebration build-up events are also being held at Lodhi Garden, Nehru Park and Talkatora Garden from June 17 to June 20 between 6:30 am and 8:00 am.” 300 people are anticipated to show up for the yoga session at Sanjay Lake Park, while 200 people will fit in at events at the New Moti Bagh IAS house, Singapore Park near the Singapore embassy, and Connaught Place Central Park. The arrangement of mobile toilets, drinking water and other medical facilities with other preparations has been assigned to the civic bodies.
