India is all set to deep dive in the most awaited civilisational celebration, as the clock tickles and reaches 12:29 IST the wait of five centuries will be over. The Pran Pratistha of Ram Mandir is just hours away and the divine land of Ayodhya is giving goosebumps to every Indian. 

On Monday, January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to take part in the much-awaited pran-pratishtha, or Ram Mandir consecration ceremony, which is scheduled to take place in the Uttar Pradesh temple town of Ayodhya. This will essentially mark the start of his re-election campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

In Ayodhya, tens of thousands of devotees have gathered, filling trains, clogging roads, and marching in on foot while brandishing flags, honking horns, and beating drums. The 50-meter-tall temple dedicated to Lord Ram Lalla was constructed on the site of the Babri Masjid, which was demolished in 1992 by karsevaks under the leadership of Lal Krishna Advani, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party at the time.

Around 8000 invitees are expected to join the historical Pran Prathistha ceremony, including Politicians, Industrialists, Celebrities, Sportsperson etc. The ceremony is expected to start at 12.25 PM IST. 

Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha: Major Events of the day

• 10:25 AM, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Ayodhya. From the Ayodhya airport, Modi will take a helicopter to the venue.
• 10:55 AM, Modi will reach the Ram temple premises.
• 11-12 PM, the prime minister might take a tour of the Ram Mandir premises.
• 12:05-12:55 PM, the pran-pratishtha ceremony will begin with Modi presiding over the rituals.
• 1:00 PM, Modi will depart the temple premises to address a public meeting of around 7,000.
• 2:10 PM, Modi will visit Kuber ka Tila, where the ancient temple of Bhagwan Shiv has been restored.

• The Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, also called the Ram temple, was built in the customary Nagara manner. It is 380 feet long (east to west), 250 feet wide, and 161 feet tall. It has 44 doors and 392 pillars supporting it overall.
• The temple’s walls and pillars are adorned with finely carved representations of Hindu gods and goddesses. The idol of Ram Lalla is located in the main sanctum sanctorum on the ground floor of the Ram temple.
• The ‘yajamana’ (hosts) for the ‘pran-pratishtha’ of the new 51-inch idol of Ram Lalla will be fourteen couples from different regions of the nation. Arun Yogiraj, a resident of Mysore, sculpted the idol, which was installed in the temple’s sanctum sanctorum on Thursday.
