In the past hour, Donald Trump declared victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, speaking to supporters at his watch party in Florida. In his speech, Trump expressed gratitude to voters, saying, “I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th president and your 45th president.” While votes are still being counted, he claimed to have secured a majority of the popular vote and described his win as a “powerful mandate” from the American people. 

Trump also praised his running mate, JD Vance, calling him a “good choice. He highlighting Vance’s support in declaring the victory as “the greatest political comeback in American history.” A portion of his speech was dedicated to tech billionaire Elon Musk, whom Trump called “an amazing guy.” Trump also hinted that Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who had previously run as an independent and endorsed Trump after withdrawing from the race, would play a role in his administration, particularly related to healthcare, with Trump suggesting Kennedy would help “make America healthy again.”
