Ritesh Sindhwani comes up with an old concept but a new way of delivery, with his new web series “Bambai Meri Jaan”. The Series launched on 14 September 2023 on the media platform Amazon Prime and has created quite a fandom since then. The show has an amazing cast including Kay Kay Menon, Avinash Tiwary, Kritika Kamra, Nivedita Bhattacharya, and Amyra Dastur in pivotal roles. Ritesh, Kassim Jagmagia, and Farhan Akhtar in side roles. The story of the series revolves around the journey of a cop, who lives to protect his family in a city that is stuck with crime. 

Farhan Akhtar shared a sneak pic of the series via his Instagram, he captioned the post, “Time to crown the new king of Bambai! #BambaiMeriJaanOnPrime, new series, Sept 14.”

The father and son figures in the program will represent the two halves of a single coin. Avinash Tiwary plays the role of Dara Kadri, a young man, around whom the story revolves, the series shows his story of how he fights against his struggles in post-independent Mumbai. He struggles with choosing between continuing his father’s (Menon’s) heritage of law enforcement and his unavoidable plunge into the criminal underworld.

Ritesh Sidhwani provided extra information about the series, stating, “Bambai Meri Jaan, set in the post-independence era, traces the beginnings of the underworld in Mumbai set against the backdrop of a free nation.” A thrilling mob nail-biter that explores the old, all-encompassing clash between right and wrong will be delivered to audiences.
