Pak’s new PM to disclose cabinet today

According to the reports, Pakistan’s newly appointed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be unveiling his Cabinet today. President of Pakistan Muslim League, Nawaz outran the previous PM Imran Khan through a no-trust vote. “Members of the federal Cabinet are taking oath tomorrow (Monday),” Marriyum Aurangzeb, who is up for holding an office as an information minister, told the sources today.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah has confirmed that the allies are going to be a part of the new government formation. Bilawal Bhutto will likely be holding the badge for the Foreign Ministry while some predict otherwise, the foreign affairs will surely be held by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

According to Aurangzeb, PML-N will get 14 ministries,  including defense, finance, interior law and justice, railways, information, communication, etc., followed by PPP with a strong 11. While the ministry of energy, development, and defense will be led by Nawaz. A source of the Pak government reported that Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will not be joining the federal Cabinet, it is said that he has given his slots to Awami National Party (ANP) and an independent slot to MNA Mohsin Dawar. Zardari claimed his full support in the ruling government after its establishment against Khan’s Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government. Zardari’s government doesn’t want any ministries since the allies are all accommodated.

While Zardari holds all the cards in distributing ministries, some of the possible ministers with the most probability of holding an office in the new cabinet are  Marriyum Aurangzeb, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Miftah Ismail, Zahid Hamid, Rana Sanaullah, Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Tanvir, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Hina Rabbani Khar, Khwaja Asif, and Shazia Marri.
