In a horrifying incident in Delhi’s Pandav Nagar, a man tried to drag a girl who is said to be 19 years old inside his car and also threatened to throw acid on her.
As India is still recovering from the shocker of the gruesome incident that occured a couple of days ago in Delhi’s Sultanpuri, another bone-chilling incident has been reported in the National Capital, this time in East Delhi’s Pandav Nagar. The man tried to drag a girl who is reported to be 19 years old inside a car. As per the Police, the man also threatened the girl to throw acid at her after she resisted and refused to enter the car. It is also reported that the girl suffered some injuries during the scuffle after the man forcefully tried to pull her inside the car.
As of now, a case has also been filed and the Delhi Police is also investigating the matter. The India Saga is further awaiting the details as the probe is underway. As soon as the news broke out, Swati Maliwal, the Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women, tweeted “Till now the country is debating on Anjali’s painful death and the news of another atrocity has come from Delhi’s Pandav Nagar area. A man tried to drag a girl inside his car and threatened to burn her with acid when she resisted. The girl has also suffered injuries. How long will this last” (English Translation of her Tweet in Hindi).
The incident from the Pandav Nagar area of East Delhi comes at a time when the entire Nation is in a deep shock and witnessing massive protests over the recent death of a 20-year-old-woman in Delhi’s Sultanpuri area. Anjali Singh, the 20 years old woman died in the early morning hours of the first day of 2023, January 1, after her scooter was hit by a car which had 5 people inside. Upon being hit, she was dragged for about 13 kilometres for more than an hour under the car from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala.
The Delhi Police has arrested all 5 accused and the Rohini Court has sent them to a three day Police Custody on Monday.
