Real-life Nayak: 9-year-old becomes IPS of Varanasi for a day 

In a touching event from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Ranveer Bharti, a 9-year-old boy who had harboured the dream of becoming an IPS officer, got his wishes fulfilled by the local police department. Ranveer Bharti who has been undergoing treatment for brain tumour at Mahamana Cancer Hospital, Varanasi, wishes to become an IPS officer. Knowing this, the local police department carried out the perfect plan to make the little boy happy.  

The heartfelt gesture was shared on the official X profile of ADG Zone Varanasi. The post, written in Hindi, when translated, reads “9-year-old boy Ranveer Bharti is undergoing treatment for brain tumour at the Mahamana Cancer Hospital, Varanasi. In such a situation, Ranveer’s desire to become an IPS officer was taken into consideration, and the child’s wish was fulfilled in the office of #adgzonevaranasi” The post also tagged Piyush Mordia, an IPS officer of the 1998 batch who has remained the Superintendent of Police in several districts of Uttar Pradesh. Piyush Mordia warmly welcomed Ranveer Bharti as the ADG, for a day, at the Varanasi ADG Zone.  

The post included attached pictures and videos that showcase the joy of the young boy. Bharti is seen wearing a khaki uniform and sitting inside a police cabin. Moreover, the accompanying video shows him interacting with police personnel, and acting like the perfect IPS officer. The group photo is a sure shot way of bringing tears to one’s eyes, capturing the terrific smiles of the police persons and Ranveer Bharti.  

Netizens over X, formerly known as twitter, thanked the authorities for allowing Bharti this once in a lifetime opportunity, and congratulated him on having his wishes fulfilled. The whole affair sheds a light on the compassion of people. Furtehrmore, it also focuses on the ability of humans to extend love, kindness, and empathy to the ones who need it.  

Bharti’s real life Nayak story, warms the hearts of people, and allows one to think of their childhood dreams. How often can we say that we achieved all our dreams?
