A sanguine persona, DJ Akade It started as a hobby and turned into a passion
In 2010, Amit Kadel OR Akade debuted as ‘DJ Amit Kadel,’ performing at a series of private events. On behalf of his college, he has competed in a host of state and national festivals. He used the money he received from local gigs to build up a home studio. He started playing on FL Studio and learning music composition on his own without taking any music lessons. Over time, EDM (Electronic Dance Music) production became his primary focus.
He has shared the stage with Martin Garrix, DJ Snake, Kshmr, Nucleya, Justin Mylo, and other well-known international DJs. He’s also known for his live performances at prestigious colleges and music festivals like Sunburn. “Phir Se Udd Chala,” his latest collaboration with B-Leaf, is about the universe asking you to let go, set yourself free, and go with the flow.
Akade is the first artist from Kolkata to take electronic dance music to the international level. In 2016, his single ‘All Or Nothing’ with Thimlife featuring Bibiane Z released on 2dutch’s Musical Madness got into Beatport Top 100 charts. He is also the first artist from Kolkata to get featured on the radio shows of the top-notch international EDM artists such as Hardwell, Tiesto, Nicky Romero, Timmy Trumpet, Lost Frequencies, Blasterjaxx, Ummet Ozcan, Sick Individuals, Yves v, Firebeatz, Tritonal, We Are Loud, DJ Juicy M and more.
It was difficult to persuade his family that he should pursue his passion. He did both CA and CS after graduation. However, he did not complete any of the levels because he was more interested in pursuing a career as a musician. Coming from a Marwari family, it can be difficult to gain their trust, particularly when the subject is arts.
He wants to collaborate with artists from all around the world in order to promote his music globally. He has collaborated with artists from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, Jamaica, South Korea, Tunisia, and India. ‘Together’ , ‘Wobble Ma Head’ , ‘Die For Love’ , ‘Bacardi’ , ‘The Girl Look Good’ , ‘Befikar’ , ‘Na Koi Jaane’ & ‘Phir Se Udd Chala’ are his recent releases.
He loves the vibe when he is on stage. He likes to see those happy faces.
For him, going to the gym regularly plays an important role in motivation. Exercise increases your overall health and sense of well-being. Plus it acts as a stress buster and makes him feel more confident. According to him, patience is the only key to any difficult situation. Nothing is permanent, so do difficulties.
He started his music project “Akade” in 2014, and he signed his first electronic track “Hands Up” to Mumbai-based record label Aaroh Music the following year.
.He is a hard worker who still has a long way to go on his road to success.
