Open Broad Daylight Firing inside Rohini Court; Gangster Gogi and 2 other died

A firing incident was reported in Rohini Court on Friday in which 2 from a rival gang were shot dead. Police informed that Jitender Gogi and his rival Sunil alias Tillu both were constantly seen in a fight that often ended in bloodshed. They have been running extortion rackets in Alipur and Sonipat for years, further destroying the peace of the nation. 

The incident occured in Rohini Court number 206 when the culprit Jitendra Singh was produced in the courtroom. The attackers were dressed as lawyers when they opened fire on the dreadful gangster Jitendra Singh. Three people were declared dead and one woman lawyer got injured. 

Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said, “The gangsters have been shot. Two came in their lawyer’s uniform. Police have neutralised them in counter move. Three casualties have been reported.”

Social media was flooded with shootout videos where lawyers are seen scrambling to get out of the building amid the sounds of gunshots in the background. People started criticizing the government and began to question them on their designation. One social media user also asked Amit Shah to resign from his post after seeing all the chaos that is happening in the courtroom despite the police personnel. 

ÂA team of the Northern Range of the Special Cell was accompanying Sunil Maan, who appeared half an hour before Gogi. Around 1.15 pm, Gogi was produced in the courtroom. The two assailants, identified as Rahul, a resident of Uttar PradeshÂs Baghpat, and Moris of Bakkarwala village, were standing at the entrance of the courtroom. They posed as lawyers and entered along with Gogi. Within seconds of entering, they opened fire on him from close range. Gogi received five-six bullet injuries; they fired eight-ten rounds, said a police officer who was present in the courtroom at the time.

ÂPersonnel of the Special Cell fired in retaliation. In total, eight rounds were fired by both the teams of the Special Cell. From the Northern Range of the Special Cell, Head Constable Kuldeep Hooda fired two rounds, and from the CounterIntelligence side, Head Constable Sandeep Dabas fired four rounds and Constable Rohit fired two. A third battalion also fired on the assailants with an AK-47, an officer told The Indian Express, saying the two men died on the spot.

ÂFor around 40 seconds, there was absolute chaos inside the courtroom, the officer added. The local police were informed and Gogi was rushed to a hospital, but succumbed to the gunshot wounds.

Delhi Bar Association has asked the member to avoid coming to office on Saturday i.e 25th September, seeing the situation the courtroom is going through. 

ÂIn view of the call by the Coordination Committee of all District Court Bar Association of Delhi, working in the court will be suspended due to revision of security norms on account of todayÂs unfortunate incident in Rohini Court, Delhi. All members are requested to abstain from their work on September 25, a statement from Delhi Bar Association said.
