What comes to mind when you hear the word GOAT (Greatest of all times)? If you are thinking of the popular Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo or the Argentinian pride Lionel Messi, you’re at the right place. We are all glad to be breathing the same air as these two legendary players and witnessing them play front and back on the field. It is true what they say, “It is Cristiano Ronaldo’s world, we are just living in it,” well the world has caught these two stupendous athletes locking horns several times but this match is the highlight of 2023. 

 

The notorious debate of ‘Messi Vs Ronaldo’ might never settle but the thrill and excitement of watching these two football superstars dominate the pitch with their world-class gameplay will never end. These two historic footballers have been combating each other for ten years now and currently, it was announced that they will be playing off in a friendly competition this Thursday i.e. January 19, 2023, after a long time. The last time they clashed was in December 2020 when Barcelona lost to Juventus with a tiring score of 3-0.  

 

Ronaldo was recently announced captain of the Saudi All-Star XI, a team consisting of players from Al Hilal and Al Nassr namely – Ronaldo, Al-Owais; Abdulhamid, Gonzalez, Hyun-soo, Konan; Cuellar, Al-Faraj, Talisca; Carillo, and Ighalo. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-German or PSG will have Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, Hakimi, Navas, Ramos, Bitshiabu, Bernat; Vitinha, Sanches, Soler, and other players on the bench.  

 

The most anticipated showdown will take place in the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh and has reportedly been booked with more than two million online ticket requests. The bidding for VIP Beyond Imagination tickets to the match has already surpassed 10 million riyals in an auction on Tuesday. The match is scheduled for 10:30 pm IST kick-off and 8 pm Saudi time.
