Tokyo Olympics 2020: Indian Men’s hockey beat Spain, Sharath Kamal Knocked Out

Tokyo Olympics 2020: Hoping to increase their medal tally on Day 4, Indian shooters Manu Bhaker, Saurabh Chaudhary topped their mixed team air pistol qualification Stage 1 but finished 7th in Stage 2 to miss medal events. The Indian MenÂs hockey gave a groundbreaking performance to beat Spain 3-0.  Rupinderpal Singh scored a brace, while Simranjit Singh also scored a brilliant field goal.

Meanwhile, in Badminton  itÂs a must-win match for the Indian badminton pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy as they face the lowest ranked team of the group. The top two teams from Group A progress to the quarterfinals.

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will be looking to get back to winning ways after losing to Indonesian shuttlers. The 39-year-old Achanta Sharath Kamal will be carrying the hopes of IndiaÂs table tennis contingent after Manika Batra and Sutirtha Mukherjee were knocked out of the tournament. Lovlina Borgohain will also be seen in action in her round of 16 bout.
