Winning an Oscar now just means you won the woke contest, says Elon Musk in his recent tweet on the social media platform ‘X’.
The Oscar or the Academy Awards 2024 held on March 10, in Los Angeles, California at the Dolby Theatre. Where Jimmy Kimmel hosted the event and presented the prestigious awards to the distinguished nominees. Christopher Nolan’s biopic Oppenheimer became the Hero of the night by receiving seven awards after being nominated in the 13 categories, during the 96th Academy Award. In this sequence Elon Musk doesn’t seems to be happy with this, in his recent tweet Musk said, “Winning an Oscar now just means you won the woke contest”.
What does Woke means?
The Cambridge Dictionary defines “woke” as “aware, especially of social problems such as racism and inequality,” Musk has previously stated that “wokeness” aims to prohibit “comedy.”
In the same thread Musk further said, When an award is diluted, everyone knows, including those who received it, and it no longer commands respect.

Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O’Connell won their second Best Original Song Oscar on Monday at the 96th Academy Awards ceremony at the Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles for the song “What Was I Made For?” from Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. Eilish, 22, has become the youngest person in history to win two Oscars.
This accomplishment breaks the longtime record set by Luise Rainer, who won her second Best Actress Oscar at the age of 28 in 1938. Twenty-six-year-old O’Connell is now the second youngest individual to win two Oscars.
Eilish and O’Connell previously won the Best Original Song Oscar in 2022 for their song “No Time to Die” from the James Bond film of the same name.
