After posting a video on social media in which she was seen dancing with two big knives while wearing a bikini, pop diva Britney Spears alarmed her fans and triggered a wellness check by Los Angeles Police officers. After seeing the footage, a close friend of the pop artist called the police to express fear for her safety. It was later made clear that the knives were in fact props that were leased from a Hand Prop store in Los Angeles and were not real. 

There was no need to be alarmed, Britney reassured her admirers in the video’s modified caption. “I apologise if my previous post scared anyone, but my team leased these fake blades from a Hand Prop store in Los Angeles. These blades are fakes. Nobody should be concerned or make a police report. Shakira is one of my favourite artists, and I’m attempting to emulate her act, which was what inspired me,” Britney said in the post. 

In the past, Britney Spears has posted videos of herself dancing by herself at home on her Instagram feed. She cancelled her Instagram account earlier this year, which worried her admirers; however, she later reassured them of her safety.

Shakira first performed the knife dance during her acceptance speech for the Lifetime Achievement Award at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2023, which is what Britney tried to imitate. 

Another reason for her fans to worry about her is her divorce with the Iranian-American model and actor Sam Asghari. Their dispute has spread quite a chaos in the couple’s lives. Spread and Asghari got married in June 2022 and got divorced in August 2023.
