Aero India 2023: PM Modi inaugurates “The runway to a billion opportunities” in Bengaluru

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has today inaugurated Asia’s largest Aero show 2023 in Bengaluru. This is the 14th edition of this show which displayed indigenous equipment in order to establish partnerships with several foreign companies.  

 

The theme of this year’s aero show is “The Runway to a Billion opportunities,” and nearly 809 companies from 98 countries are a part of Aero India 2023. After Inaugurating the event, PM Modi said, “Aero India reflects India’s new power and aspirations. He further added, “The made-in-India Tejas aircraft and INS Vikrant as examples of India’s potential.” 

 

Adhering to this, aero India will feature aerobatics and a huge exhibition, a trade fair of aerospace and defence companies. The Narendra Modi Government has undertaken the “Make In India” policy, which has insisted manufacturers and producers such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin Corp, and Airbus share technology and more from different parts of the world to be on-boarded.  

 

251 accords with predicted investments of â¹ 75,000 crores are likely to be signed between various Indian and foreign defence companies. Air India is also expected to declare a potentially record deal to purchase around 500 jets from Airbus SE and Boeing Co. that will be worth more than $100 billion at listed prices.
