Tillu Tajpuriya, a dreaded gangster who was attacked by the rival gang members inside the Tihar jail and later killed in Delhi. Tillu Tajpuriya, the alleged mastermind in the Rohini court shootout case in September 2021, was thrashed with iron rods by allegedly gangster Yogesh Tunda as well as his aides which leads him to death. Also, one other prisoner named Rohit was also injured in the attack.
The Police said that Tillu Tajpuriya was immediately rushed to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in Delhi, where he was declared dead directly. The DCP West district, Akshat Kaushal said “Today’s morning at around 7 am, news was received from the Delhi’s Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital regarding the two prisoners who were brought to the Hospital from Tihar jail. One of them, Tillu Tajpuriya was brought to an unconscious state, where he was later declared dead as he wasn’t responding. Rohit, the other prisoner is undergoing treatment and now is out of danger.”
Tillu Tajpuriya who was lodged in cell no.9 was attacked with an iron rod by the prisoner named Yogesh Tunda along with his gang members who was lodged in cell no.8, the police further mentioned. “Tillu Tajpuriya was charged by Yogesh alias Tunda and Deepak alias Teetar by breaking the iron grill of the ward which divided both the gangs in the same ward” , said the officials. The investigation is still going on in this incident.
In September 2021, gangster Sunil Maan alias Tillu Tajpuriya was allegedly involved in the killing of Jitender Maan alias Gogi in a shootout inside a courtroom at Rohini Courts Complex. The two members from the rival Tillu gang are suspected as the gunmen dressed as lawyers. The shooting was the result of a rivalry of years between the Gogi’s gang and Tillu’s gang.
