Food Allergies on the rise; Sort It by Karan Ahluwalia can be the solution

With 90% of the population divulging towards the trend of being a ‘foodie’, a variety of food combinations, trends and recipes have emerged all over. Such changes in the eatery space also gave birth to a lot of food allergies and infections. Over the last couple of years, more than one-third of the UK population alone, i.e. around 20 million people have been suffering from different food allergies, and the number is not decreasing any time soon. Therefore, in an attempt to find a solution to this problem, entrepreneur Karan Ahluwalia launched his endeavor- ‘Sort It’ to help people identify safe eating spaces and thereby escape allergies.

‘Sort It’ is an advancement in technology offering customers to sort their food choices on the basis of their food allergies. The team is focused on the vision to provide an extended allergy and intolerance sorting for the vulnerable.

The team has set a very strategic and mindful approach to building this application. Along with putting their best foot forward to bridge the gap between the hospitality and technology sectors. They realized this transition was much needed to solve the problem statements at hand. The team is driven by integrity and hard work leaving no stone unturned. They are continuously partnering with multiple sample sites (cafes, and restaurants) across the UK to provide a safe eating environment for the individuals.

As the idea was unique and innovative huge support was given from his University. The application has now passed all testing stages and is ready to be launched.
