Hariprem Films Bridges The Musical Gap Between Rajasthan’s Past And Future

Hariprem Films is doing wonders putting Rajasthan on the music and entertainment map. With millions of fans across the nation, they are doing what no one has attempted to do before – to make Rajasthani music modern and relevant to the current generation. With upcoming projects not only reaching out to the commercial and traditional markets but also tapping into futuristic genres, this may just be the first time we hear electronic, techno, or even drum and bass elements in Rajasthani songs with its cultural core! The possibilities with the language are endless.

Established in the year 2008, Hariprem Films began its journey in a small 400-ft room and today has attained the status of one of the most prolific film production houses in the state of Rajasthan, and perhaps even across the country. In a short span, the company has gained a lot of traction among musicians, filmmakers, and event organizers. SamadhiyaÂs portfolio includes virtuosos like Suresh Wadkar, Kailash Kher, and Shankar Mahadevan, as well as high-profile projects for the Shiv Sena and the Government of Rajasthan. In fact, their 2021 release ÂBadhta Ja with Shankar Mahadevan, a motivational song composed by Kiran Kumar Bhatt and arranged and recorded by Tejas Chavan and CEO of Hariprem Films, Nitin Samadhiya, opened to rave reviews by audiences.

ÂMy father had an interest in videography, explains Nitin Samadhiya, MD and CEO of Hariprem Films, ÂHe would always record programs and festivals for broadcast on local TV channels. I would accompany him on these shoots and observe him with great interest and passion. In 2008, I took this humble passion further and turned it into a viable profession. Thus Hariprem Films was born!Â

Today Hariprem Films boasts of having worked with over 200 brands on a national and international stage. Their YouTube channel has a whopping 17 million audience views while they have an additional 2 lakh fans across the rest of social media. They are currently handling the prestigious national and international-level commercial advertising and marketing accounts of revered Rajasthani Brands. And if these achievements arenÂt already enough, Nitin Samadhiya, as a Sound Engineer, even made it to the Limca Book of Records with their music album ÂKanherichi PhuleÂ. As far as mainstream awards go, ÂKanherichi Phule was nominated for Best Sound Engineer at the ZEE Sagarika Music Awards.

With a string of ongoing and successful projects like ÂBetiyaanÂ, a unity song for the Central Government of India, ÂSwaranim Suraj for the Government of Rajasthan, ÂSatarangi Rajasthan featuring singers Priyanka Barve and Hemang Joshi receiving over 16+ million views and ÂBanni Sa featuring Mame Khan and Priyanka Barve, the reputed production company has also forayed into documentary films. Their vast body of work includes documentaries for Tata Motors, Mahindra and Mahindra, a documentary on the Jain religion, and the French documentary ÂOn The Road of Self EmploymentÂ.

Hariprem Films has big plans for their home-state, with a vision to make Rajasthan a hub for new music in virtually every genre. These will include dance and futuristic music, traditional, cultural, and folk music, devotional music, and finally romantic songs in multiple languages like Hindi, Rajasthani, and Punjabi. In fact, their upcoming Rajasthani-Hindi track features popular actress Tridha Choudhury, best known for her role in Prakash JhaÂs successful crime web-series Aashram.

Along with upcoming musical collaborations with industry stalwarts like Swaroop Khan singing ÂVidaaiÂ, Prateek Gandhi singing ÂAao SaÂ, ÂPacharangi LeheriyoÂ, a duet with Suvarna Tiwari (Who lent her voice to the hit movie Thappad) ÂSaans Re Dhaage featuring Sonesh Arya and Garima Chouhan and finally, Hariprem Films has also announced that they will produce their own web-series with several well-known and accomplished Bollywood actors. WeÂd say the Rajasthani revolution in entertainment and music has already arrived!
