Music has always been a medium to express the emotions that one finds difficult to express in words and that is the reason why music has been so popular. It is one of the oldest and greatest forms of art. We have read many great artists, minds and philosophers writing notes and essays about the importance of music in our life. Friedrich Nietzsche once said, ÂWithout music, life would be a mistake. But music has a diverse range of genres. Every generation has its own favourite. Hip-Hop and Rap that started to become mainstream in 90s is still finding new ways and voices to be a hit among the youth. The musicians who are composing these songs know what youth wants to hear They and their songs have been becoming a source of inspiration for many.

Guri Singh is one such musician. Born and brought up in Mandigobind Garh Punjab, this 30 year old musician lives in Melbourne and has been passionately creating amazing songs and music. People in Punjab have been blessed with a deep voice and that is due to the influence of the folk music there which requires you to sing in higher notes. Guri Singh has been really very successful in carving his own niche and has been delivering constant hits so far. His music which is influenced by Punjabi music and Hip-hop is a rage among the youth.

For Guri, Music is something that fills his heart with ecstasy as he describes it as a rejuvenating experience. Guri Singh says that he finds his inspiration in great artists of Punjab such as Kuldip Manak, Gurdas Maan, Chamkila, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and many more. He says that these artists have really influenced his understanding of good music and compositions.

Always in a mode to create something great, Guri Singh has his own share of struggle but he says that if you are really passionate about something, all struggles are worth it because of the rewarding experience that you get out of it. He says that one should really work hard and keep pushing through as it makes the success inevitable. But one should also be aware of it that both success and failure are part of life.
