Recently, Ravi Ranjan, a renowned entrepreneur & startup expert, Curator and Business advisor of Shark Tank India, 2 Times TedX and Public Speaker, was felicitated at the BrandEdge, a flagship event of the PRSI (Public Relations Society of India).

Ravi Ranjan was awarded the prestigious title of ‘Entrepreneurship Evangelist’ by the US Consulate Kolkata Counsel General Ms. Melinda Pavek along with Sanjoy K. Roy (Organiser of Jaipur Literature Festival) and other dignitaries. The award ceremony witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests who graced the event with their august presence. The event was held on August 17, 2022, at the posh ITC Sonar Bangla hotel, situated in Kolkata. Ravi Ranjan who is also the representative of Venture Catalysts Group and India lead for Seed Group- The private office of a member of the Royal family of Dubai was awarded the title for his immense contribution to the development and upliftment of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in India.

BrandEdge, which is often referred to as Eastern India’s Biggest Conference, envisions bringing together top-level executives from ingenious brands across a plethora of verticals, PR & niche advertising agencies, and prominent media houses to highlight the much-needed strategies for the growth and expansion of a modern brand. This conference that was organised at a grand level provides a distinct opportunity to understand and learn how brands are created and how they might cease to exist, how brands can scale up their operations, and why the role of marketers is to incorporate all the emerging trends and challenges.

The summit also witnessed the launch of Piyush Pandey’s new book – ‘Open House’ alongside an interactive session between Mr. Harish Bhat, Brand Custodian, Tata Sons, Author & Marketer, and Mr. Piyush Pandey, Chairman of Global Creative & Executive Chairman, India, Ogilvy, in the presence of Mr. Sanjay Roy, Founder of Jaipur Literature Festival, MD Teamwork Arts.

Mr. Soumyajit Mahapatra, Chairman of the Public Relations Society of India, highlighted the benefits of this conference, saying that it was the country’s first strategic fund-raising event, which has indeed impacted the entrepreneurial ecosystem, where numerous startups have entered and got the opportunity to interact with experts and industry leaders and juries. Undoubtedly, startups have received a plethora of benefits from this summit, giving Kolkata a new flavour in the conference circuit. The summit also witnessed the interaction between venture capitalists with 25 start-ups where 8 start-ups were selected for funding to the tune of Rs 25 crores.
