India’s GDP expected to grow at 6% in FY24: CRISIL

The India Saga Saga |

India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is predicted to increase by 6.8 per cent in the upcoming fiscal year 2023-24, which is lower than the previously projected growth rate of 7  per cent for the current financial year 2022-23, according to analytics company CRISIL. These estimates are 40 basis points lower than the Reserve Bank of India’s prediction of 6.4 per cent, and 100 basis points lower than CRISIL’s own estimate of 7 per cent for FY23.

On Thursday, CRISIL Ltd, a credit rating agency, described the worldwide situation as more negative and predicted that India’s GDP growth for FY24 would be 6 per cent, which is lower than the 7 per cent estimate made by the National Statistical Organisation (NSO) for FY23.  According to CRISIL, a combination of intricate geo-political circumstances, persistently high inflation, and significant interest rate increases aimed at addressing it, have contributed to a more dismal global situation.

According to the credit rating agency, the possibility of inflation increasing is more likely due to the current heat wave and the prediction from the World Meteorological Organization that an El Nino warming event is expected to occur within the next few months. “The primary obstacle that the Indian economy will face in the upcoming fiscal year is maintaining growth despite the global slowdown,” CRISIL said about the GDP growth in FY24.

“The rising global strains path has been changed – from the Covid-19 pandemic to ongoing conflicts between Russia and Ukraine. The world economic scenario has forced to increase in interest rates for important central banks to tackle the wave of inflation. In advanced countries, policy rates are currently at their highest level in ten years. The decrease in global growth will impede India’s exports. Moreover, as the effects of the increased policy rates spread throughout the economy, there is a possibility that demand will weaken due to tighter domestic financial conditions,” the report said.

“The Indian GDP is projected to increase by 6.8 per cent annually over the next five financial years, which will be primarily driven by enhancement in capital and productivity,” stated by Amish Mehta, CEO and managing director at CRISIL. It is expected that this percentage will increase to 15 per cent by the fiscal year 2027, as per the report. The report said a favourable harvest during the rabi season would contribute to reducing food inflation, while the deceleration of the economy would have a moderating effect on core inflation.

“Our PM Narendra Modi loves our community and has done a lot for Sikhs and Sikhism. He has done a lot for us such as opened Kartarpur Corridor, ended the backlists, and talked about Chhote Sahibzadas (the son of Guru Gobind Singh),”  Jaswant Singh Thekedar said in an exclusive interview with the news agency ANI on March 16, 2023, Thursday. He added that the government is on major demands, and only a few demands are left to be fulfilled. Everything will be nice if they agree to fulfil these demands too.

The Central government led by Prime minister Narendra Modi has worked to meet the major demands put further by the Sikh community members, mentioned by Mr. Thekedar. He also went on to say that Amritpal Singh, chief of ‘Punjab Waris De’, knows nothing about Khalistan and he will never succeed in his plans. Amritpal has certainly made a lot of money in the name of khalistan, but he knows nothing about it as he is not a Khalistani. I do not think he will succeed in his plans going forward, Mr. Thakedar added.

The Punjab government is not capable of dealing with the (threat of the revival of the Khalistan movement). There is not even a single person who has the ability to handle this and I feel this is because of not taking timely action regarding it, he mentioned. Earlier, at his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, Prime Minister Modi had met prominent Sikhs from across the country. A Comprehensive Guide to Treatment for Neuropathy: From Diagnosis to Care

The India Saga Saga |

What is neuropathy?

The American Medical Association (AMA) states that neuropathy is an inflammation of the peripheral nerves that results in reduced or non-functioning motor and sensory neurons. According to nervogen pro reviews, the inflammation can be caused by nerve damage, infection, a pathologic condition like rheumatoid arthritis, or diseases like diabetes, gout and rheumatoid arthritis.

The most common cause of neuropathy is diabetes. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic state of high blood sugar (sugar) levels, and it can lead to nerve damage in the legs and other parts of the body. Other causes include illnesses like Parkinson’s disease, stroke and arthritis. Sometimes the cause is unknown; in these cases, it’s called idiopathic neuropathy.

Types of Neuropathy

Nerve damage is divided into two categories, axonal and non-axonal. Axonal damage is caused by trauma, inflammation and ischemia and is characterized by the presence of scar tissue. Non-axonal is caused by an abnormal condition called ischemia, which usually affects the brain.

axonal damage is the result of trauma, inflammation and ischemia. Non-axonal damage is the result of an abnormal condition called ischemia, which usually affects the brain. Both types of damage can occur together, called polyneuropathy.

Polyneuropathy is a condition in which the peripheral nervous system is affected as well as the central nervous system. The most common forms of polyneuropathy are myxedema and polyradiculopathy.

Symptoms of Neuropathy

The main symptoms of neuropathy are abnormal or decreased sensation, such as loss of feeling or difficulty making movements. Other symptoms include increased sensitivity to pain, including burning, stinging and aching feelings.

Sometimes, symptoms also include depression, increased anxiety and lack of energy. Neuropathic pain is more likely to occur in the legs, feet and hands, but can also affect the back, arm, jaw and even the children’s toys!

The Difference between Peripheral fibromyalgia

The symptoms of peripheral fibromyalgia, while similar to those of neuropathy, are distinct. Peripheral fibromyalgia is a condition in which the pain is localized to one part of the body. The pain is often dull and difficult to distinguish from other body aches.

The causes of peripheral fibromyalgia are similar to those of neuropathy. increased muscle spasms, nerve damage and a bad relationship with medications are all potential causes. The main difference between peripheral fibromyalgia and neuropathy is that in the former, there is no cognitive impairment or other obvious causes of pain.

Provence Syndrome: A cause for both hemiplegic and myxedema optic neuropathies

The main symptoms of Provence syndrome are vision problems, such as blurred or missing vision, or light sensitivity due to congenital optic nerve hypoplasia. Other symptoms include hearing loss and muscle spasms due to multiple sclerosis. The cause of Provence syndrome is believed to be related to an autoimmune disorder called myxedema.

Treatment for Neuropathy: From Diagnosis to Care

As with most chronic diseases, the first step in treating neuropathy is to understand its cause and determine whether treatments are necessary. People with diabetes should have their blood sugar levels checked frequently and take appropriate diabetes medications. This includes checking and adjusting your own medications as needed.

If diabetes is the cause of neuropathy, then the first step is to get it under control. This can be done by following proper diabetic medication regimens, eating a healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables and fibre, and getting enough exercise.

Once the cause of neuropathy has been determined, the next step is to find a treatment that works best for you. Options include:

Pain medications

Steroids

Opioids

Nutrition counselling

Physical therapy

Conclusion

Not everyone with neuropathy develops complications, but those people who do are at an increased risk of developing such complications as heart disease, claudication, nerve damage and other conditions. People with neuropathy can also be at a higher risk of developing cancer. The good news is that treatment for neuropathy can greatly improve the quality of life for patients and greatly reduce the risk of having chronic conditions such as cancer and heart disease.

Assam CM Himanta Sarma wants to close all madrasas, needs more colleges

The India Saga Saga |

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam, pledged to persist in his efforts to crack down on madrasas within the state, asserting that individuals desire to pursue their education in schools and colleges instead. On Thursday, while speaking at the BJP’s Vijay Sankalp Yatra in Belagavi, Karnataka, Himanta Biswa expressed his thoughts, “I have shut down 600 madrasas, and I intend to close down all madrasas, as our focus is on having schools, colleges, and universities, not madrasas.”

In 2020, Sarma became well-known for introducing a disputed law in Assam that mandated that all government-funded madrasas should transform into regular schools offering general education. Presently, in January 2023, 3,000 madrasas have been recorded or unrecorded in the state. The senior BJP leader escalated his language regarding undocumented migrants, alleging that individuals from Bangladesh migrate to Assam and pose a danger to the region’s civilization and culture.

He also criticised both the Congress and the Left, alleging that they were distorting India’s history by promoting a pro-Mughal storyline. The Congress and Communist parties emphasized the historical significance of Babur, Aurangzeb, and Shah Jahan. He emphasises that India’s history should be remembered for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Guru Gobind Singh, and Swami Vivekananda instead.

CM Sarma continuously attacked the opposition party by comparing them to the Mughals and accused them of attempting to destabilise the country, labelling them as the “new Mughals.”

He strongly criticised the party for its stance on the Babri Mandir issue and its opposition to the building of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. “The BJP has a different outlook compared to the Congress, as they focus on building temples rather than demolishing them,” CM Sarma stated.

“In the past, the leader of Delhi discussed the demolition of temples, but currently, during the leadership of PM Modi, the focus is on constructing temples, which directly indicates the changes in India. The Congress party is perceived to be undermining this new direction and is being likened to the new Mughal rulers,” said Sarma.

The BJP leader remarked that numerous individuals in India declare themselves as Muslims and Christians with pride, which he doesn’t object to. However, he emphasised the need for someone who can confidently assert their Hindu identity, stating that India requires such a person at present.

The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) informed people via a tweet that an earthquake occurred at around 6:25 am IST with a depth of 41 km. Additionally, according to reports by the media, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) issued a statement stating that the tsunami waves might hit the coasts located within 300 km of the earthquake’s epicentre. The USGS further added that there is no tsunami threat to Australia.

However, on other hand, the National Emergency Management Agency stated that there are no tsunami warnings for New Zealand. Still, following the earthquake, reports by New Zealand media recommend the issuance of relevant rescue measures in the region for any further situation. The National Emergency Management Agency of New Zealand also took to Twitter to share updates and rescue measures for the citizens. “There is no tsunami threat to New Zealand following the M7.0 earthquake in the Southern Kermadec Islands.

Due to the geographical location of New Zealand, it is prone to witness many hazards annually. The country is located at the convergence of the Australian and Pacific tectonic plates. In addition to this, it also falls on the periphery of the Ring of Fire, a region which has heightened seismic activity. Earlier on March 4, an earthquake had struck the same Kermadec Islands region, it was of 6.9 magnitude. The quake depth was reported at a depth of 152 km, USGS said. The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre estimated the earthquake’s magnitude to be 6.6 at a depth of 183 kilometres despite contradicting reports regarding its size.
