Music composer Samarth Saxena shares his affair on Pind Daan, with filmmaker Divyansh Pandit

TheIndiaSaga Team | Updated :

On the 9th of November this year, short filmmaker Divyansh Pandit released his latest work, Pind Daan, a short film, with Yatin Karyekar and Aadil Jaipuri in the lead roles. Revolving around a strong social issue, this short film was screened at cinepolis in the presence of the legendary director duo, Abbas Mastan. Alongside them, stood the legendary lyricist Sameer Anjaan and singer Shaan, who were brought together on Pind Daan for the song ‘Aakhri Jung’, which was released on music label – Wild Buffaloes Music, also founded by Divyansh. With music by the young and ‘immensely’ (as Divyansh refers to him) talented, Samarth Saxena, the song has been widely appreciated. It was not deprived of praises from Abbas Mastan as well during the screening.

We asked Divyansh to throw light on how he handpicked such a young talent for such a profound subject and this is what he had to say, “Samarth’s age can be really deceiving. Going by my intuition , I knew he was a bomb waiting to blast and that is why I looked beyond his age. I like to have my music in place before I begin writing anything and that’s why I had put up a story on my Insta account stating my requirement for a music composer along with the flavour I was looking for. Now this is where it gets interesting. DMs of various music composers began pouring in. I was going through them and in a few days, I received a text from Samarth. It was so inspiring to see that he did not send me any request to work on Pind Daan, instead, he straight away sent me a musical piece in sync with my brief. I was like
wow! Now, the musical piece was nowhere close to what I wanted but what attracted me was his attitude and I just got him on board.”

We asked Samarth about the reason behind this proactiveness and elaborated saying, “Since it was Divyansh, I knew he would come up with something which won’t be conventional. So when I saw his insta story, I was really kicked about it. It might sound really weird but after days of trying to compose a tune, when I saturated it, it finally came to me when least expected. In my dream (chuckles)! Believe me, I am not exaggerating a bit, I woke up with a tune in my head and immediately called up Divyansh. This is how Aakhri Jung happened to me.

After I finalised the composition, I recommended bringing a legendary singer on board, I will not mention his name and on the other hand, Divyansh recommended another legend, Shaan sir. I mean, who is not a fan of Shaan sir? But I couldn’t fathom his voice given the range of the song. Divyansh’s conviction was solid and finally, we went to Sameer sir for his views. The very next thing was that I was recording with Shaan sir and i’ll be very honest to my work, he nailed it.“

Samarth Saxena has been exposed to music ever since his childhood. His father, Prashant Salil, is a composer, arranger and a renowned santoor player, trained under the maestro, Late Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. Samarth credits Pind Daan to opening portals of his talent that were yet to be seen.

We dove deeper into Samarth’s inception in the world of music and he stated, “Being born into a family of musicians and artists, and having been trained right since childhood, my go to form of expressing my emotions has always been music. I feel like what I can’t put into just words, I put into music much more easily”.

Elaborating his new found accord with Samarth, Divyansh said, “There are two words that I repeatedly use for Samarth. ‘Immense’ and ‘Divine’. Immense, because the boundaries of his talent are nowhere in sight, and divine, because…well, his egoless attitude and being absolutely pure at heart are traits that vividly reflect in his work. This was evident when the track was widely praised by many film critics and dignitaries. In fact the track is available on our music label, Wild Buffaloes Music. so all in all, I am absolutely up for collaborations with such a powerhouse of talents.”

Pind Daan was recently posted by actor Amitabh Bachchan on his social media accounts and since then, it caught quite some traction on random meme pages. The short film is available for viewing on the Wild Buffaloes Entertainment YouTube channel.

ED vs Kejriwal: Will ED arrest Kejriwal?

TheIndiaSaga Team |

On January 3, Kejriwal did not appear in front of the ED despite this Chief Minister of Delhi and national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Arvind Kejriwal, has scheduled a three-day tour of Gujarat for January 6, 7, and 8. On Wednesday, Kejriwal did not show up to be questioned by the ED regarding the Delhi excise case. According to the chief minister of Delhi, the summon is illegal. AAP sources claimed that the party chief is prepared to work with the ED, but the notice from the ED is ‘illegal’ since it has sent to arrest and stop him from campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Amid the rumors of Kejriwal’s arrest warrant, Aam Aadmi Party leader Jasmine Shah says, “The BJP knows that summons would be issued even before they are issued (by the ED). For the last 24 hours, every BJP leader has saying, that Arvind Kejriwal will be arrested. It is clear that if the arrest warrant is issued, it will be issued from the BJP office not from the headquarters of ED.”

On Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal evading ED summons BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala says, “Arvind Kejriwal is corrupt no. 1 and his party is ‘dramebaaz’ no. 1. If there was an Oscar award for ‘nautanki’ and playing the victimhood card, then Arvind Kejriwal and his party (AAP) should get the award.”

Kejriwal is anticipated to visit Gujarat and hold a worker’s conference and public meeting in preparation for the Lok Sabha elections. Additionally, he is expected to meet the family of jailed AAP MLA Chaitra Basava.

The five-page reply that Kejriwal sent on Wednesday to the case’s investigating officer is presently being examined by the ED. The sources further stated that the ED might reject Kejriwal’s claims that the summons is unlawful and send its fourth summons to the chief minister under the PMLA’s provisions.

The AAP claims that the Delhi Police have cordoned off Kejriwal’s home, obstructing all access routes and preventing employees from CM House from entering, and they intend to take him into custody. Conversely, the Delhi Police made it clear that the increased security surrounding the Chief Minister’s residence was intended to manage the media staff. The media had congregated there since Wednesday, in response to party leaders’ rumors that Kejriwal might be raided and taken into custody.

Following the AAP’s conjectures regarding a possible raid at the chief minister’s residence, a senior Delhi Police official stated that the main reason for the heightened security was to manage the media’s presence. A second policeman claimed that no staff member of the chief minister had been placed under restriction and described the increased police presence as a general deployment.

As per the media reports the model was arrested in connection with the murder of gangster Sandeep Gadoli in Mumbai on February 7, 2016. She was found dead in a Gurugram hotel on Wednesday.

Divya’s connection with the underworld started back in the year 2016 when her age was just 18 years old. The Mumbai police arrested her on charges of facilitating the alleged fake encounter of Sandeep Gadoli, her then-boyfriend and a most wanted gangster, in a hotel near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in the year 2016. The Haryana police encounter received investigation, resulting in the arrest of several police officers and Divya for allegedly highlighting the gangster’s location.

95 Killed in bomb blasts near the grave of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani

TheIndiaSaga Team |

On the fourth anniversary of the supposed US assassination of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani, two bomb blasts close to his tomb have killed at least ninety-five people, according to Iran’s official media. When the explosions struck a procession in the vicinity of the Saheb al-Zaman mosque in Kerman, several more people were hurt.

As people gathered to mark the fourth anniversary of General Soleimani’s assassination—he was the head of the Revolutionary Guard’s elite Quds Force—who was killed in an American drone strike in Iraq in January 2020, they were caught in the explosions. The explosions happened close to his grave in Kerman, which is located roughly 510 miles (820 kilometers) southeast of Tehran, the capital of Iran.

Rahman Jalali, the deputy governor of Kerman, described the attack as “terroristic,” even though no one has yet claimed responsibility for it. The number of fatalities might increase because a number of the injured are in serious condition. The explosions reportedly occurred fifteen minutes apart.

A shrine honoring the assassinated leader Soleimani is located 700 meters from the site of the first explosion, according to reports from the Tasnim news agency, which is connected to the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Cops), the main branch of the Iranian Armed Forces. The second explosion occurred outside the pilgrims’ path and inspection gates, one kilometer from the shrine.

The majority of the victims perished in the second explosion, according to Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi, who also promised that the government would respond to the bombings “quickly and forcefully.” Additionally, he declared, “Our police forces are on guard and will bring those responsible for this crime to justice.”

Notably, Qasem Soleimani oversaw the Quds force, the Iranian branch in charge of covert and extraterritorial military operations. On January 3, 2020, a drone strike carried out by the USA killed him.

Given the increased tensions in the Middle East resulting from the Israel-Hamas war and the Houthi attacks in the Red Sea, this most recent attack assumes particular significance given that Iran funds both Hamas and the Houthis.

Earlier storylines

Iran has been fighting various jihadist and other militant groups in addition to its long-running shadow war of sabotage and killings with its arch-enemy, Israel. A prominent “operative” connected to the Islamic State organization, responsible for executing “terrorist operations” in Iran, was apprehended in Kerman in September, according to a report by the Fars news agency.

Iran’s intelligence ministry announced in July that it had broken up a network that was “linked to Israel’s spy organization” and was preparing “terrorist operations” throughout the country, according to IRNA.

It stated that one of the purported plots involved “planning an explosion at the grave” of Soleimani. Soleimani was considered a hero in Iran for his role in defeating IS in both Iraq and Syria. Khamenei had referred to him as a “living martyr” years prior.
