RSS planning series of events to instill nationalistic fervour in poll-bound UP

The India Saga Saga |

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJPideological )’s fountainhead, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), is planning a series of events to inspire patriotic fervour among the populace in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh, according to sources familiar with the matter. From November 19, the birth anniversary of Rani Laxmi Bai, who battled the British in India’s first struggle of independence in 1857, through December 16, the day India commemorates its triumph over Pakistan in the 1971 war, the activities will take place.

RSS cadres plan to worship Bharat Mata (Mother India) in the countryside as part of the organization’s Swaraj 75 plan to commemorate 75 years of independence. It aims to create a Diwali-like mood by burning earthen lamps and reciting Vande Mataram in large groups. Tiranga (tricolour) yatras and street dramas are also planned by the RSS. The RSS wants to gather 100,000 cadres in Lucknow to perform Vande Mataram. Earthen lamps would be lit as well. The outreach will also include the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, and other like-minded organisations. “The idea is to acquaint our students, our people about the heroes of the freedom struggle, many of them lesser-known,” said RSS functionary Ashok Dubey. “We have been gathering details about them so that the younger generation takes inspiration from such unsung heroes of the freedom movement.”

The RSS is expected to put up a pamphlet about such unsung heroes. RSS officials stated its members will organise events across the state to commemorate Guru Tegh Bahadur’s 400th birthday, the ninth of the ten Sikh Gurus. “…the party cadres would educate people about the Guru’s life and times, as well as his ultimate sacrifice,” an RSS official stated. “With the tagline Swaraj 75, we’ve got it all arranged.” Before 2025, when the RSS celebrates its 100th anniversary, the RSS wants to hold a shakha (gathering) in each of the villages. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, Shakhas that were previously held online have been taken down.

In the party’s first National Executive meeting after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and held in hybrid mode, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tabled the 18-point political resolution which touched upon various landmark initiatives taken by the Modi government. Lauding the Prime Minister over issues like handling of the COVID situation and the inoculation drive, stand on climate change, and the recent reduction of the excise duty on petrol and diesel, the resolution predicted a big win for the BJP in the upcoming assembly polls in five states – Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Manipur, and Goa. He also said BJP was distinct because it was defined by Sewa, Sankalp, and Samarpan (Service, Resolve, and Commitment) and does not revolve around a family.

The meeting was conducted in a hybrid mode with State leaders attending virtually including senior leaders like L.K. Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi. All members had to register digitally for the conference, and of the 346 members in the national executive, 342 were attending.

Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, Iraq’s PM, narrowly avoids attempt for assassination

The India Saga Saga |

According to officials, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi was uninjured after an assassination attempt by armed drones on his home on November 7th. The incident marked a significant escalation in tensions triggered by Iran-backed militias’ refusal to recognize the results of last month’s parliamentary elections.

According to two Iraqi authorities, seven of Prime Minister al-security Kadhimi’s guards were injured in the attack with two armed drones that occurred in Baghdad’s strongly protected Green Zone area. Because they were not permitted to make public statements, they talked on the condition of anonymity.

“I am fine and among my people. Thank God,” the Prime Minister tweeted shortly after the attack. He called for calm and restraint, “for the sake of Iraq.”

The government claimed in a statement that an explosives-laden drone attempted to strike Mr. al-home. Kadhimi’s Baghdad residents reported an explosion followed by heavy gunfire coming from the Green Zone, which is home to foreign embassies and government agencies. The statement released by state-run media said security forces were “taking the necessary measures in connection with this failed attempt.”

There was no quick claim of responsibility for the incident. It comes as a result of a standoff between security forces and pro-Iran Shiite militias, whose supporters have been camping outside the Green Zone for nearly a month after rejecting the results of Iraq’s parliamentary elections, in which they lost around two-thirds of their seats.

“The assassination attempt is a dramatic escalation, crossing a line in an unprecedented fashion that may have violent reverberations,” wrote Ranj Aladdin, a nonresident fellow at Brookings Institution, in a post on Twitter.

Prime Minister al-Kadhimi was explicitly accused of the November 5 riots and the killing of the protester by some of the most strong militia forces loyal to Iran. “The blood of martyrs is to hold you accountable,” said Qais al-Khazali, leader of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq militia, addressing Mr. al-Kadhimi at a funeral held for the protester on November 6. “The protesters only had one demand against fraud in elections. Responding like this means you are the first one responsible for this fraud.”

Flashy sites and impossibly high success rates are something to stay away from. Instead, it is best to take advice from someone who has already gone through that initial phase of hardships while starting out in the entrepreneurial world. However, Ankit Chaudhary doesn’t want others to also go through the same struggles that he had. 1) Keep a positive mindset- Probably one of the biggest factors which can make or break any person is their own mind. Ankit Chaudhary says that training one’s own perspective to be optimistic and hopeful rather than overly critical and pessimistic is the first step to becoming successful, irrespective of the industry they are trying to break into.

2) Remember that time fixes all Making a name for oneself is a difficult task irrespective of what career path one chooses. However, with the rise of digital entrepreneurs and social media marketers, this particular industry has become even more saturated. Creating a niche for yourself might seem impossible but with hard work and a motivated personality, one can achieve all. The initial stages of Ankit Chaudhary’s career are testimony to this- there were no big deals with foreign brands and his bank account did not grow overnight. However, even when things looked as bad as they could possibly get, Ankit Chaudhary decided to instead let time do its thing and soon saw that his efforts had paid off.

3) Believe in your own abilities- In this world there are many who are always waiting to call out your shortcomings and bring you down. However, there are only a few who will be there to support you and your journey right from the start. In Ankit Chaudhary’s opinion there can be no bigger supporter than themselves. Smog mode : Delhiites use everything to combat pollution

The India Saga Saga |

The air quality in Delhi has deteriorated significantly as a result of stubble burning and pollution from firecrackers, and Delhi residents are making conscious efforts to adjust their lifestyles in order to stay healthy.

The days following Diwali are traditionally marked by thick smoke and pollution, and this year is no exception, with air quality falling into the ‘severe’ category. Despite a blanket prohibition on firecrackers, firecrackers were let off in several parts of the city, and this, along with pollutants from field fires, has caused pandemonium in the Capital, putting the air quality in jeopardy. Delhiites have their own checklist to protect themselves against the city’s bad air quality, which includes drinking kadha’s and ashwagandha, using essential oils and humidifiers, and even temporarily leaving the city.

“It’s very sad to see that despite multiple warnings, Delhites did not pay attention to the pollution warning. It just goes on to say how insensitive we have become. The air quality was already bad before Diwali and now it is worse. I woke up 6am on the next morning of Diwali, finding it difficult to breath. With God’s grace, I do not have any respiratory problems, imagine what people with respiratory issues must be going through,” says Neha Mehra, a teacher from Mayur Vihar.

In order to stay fit and healthy at this period, Delhiites have turned to home cures. “I was expecting the pollution levels to rise after Diwali.” Because of this, winters are physically lethal for me. For weeks, I’ve been having difficulties breathing normally. As a result, I make it a point to keep the humidifier running at all times. Aside from that, I had previously loaded up on kadha, which I drink every day. I’m also using essential oils to steam and have air purifier plants at home. “I suffer sinusitis, therefore nothing helps except antiallergics, but I still believe in strengthening immunity through natural means,” says Harsha Yadav Malik, an IT consultant in New Raj.

“The smog situation in Delhi is bad,” says Neha Singh, a senior manager at IP Extension, “and we have already started seeing a nutritionist to make sure that we are putting in the proper nutrients to stay healthy.” She advised us to consume an Ashwagandha-infused beverage every day, which we are doing. Aside from that, we’re making sure to wear N 95 masks, which protect us not only from Covid but also from the smog. Also, we only leave the house when absolutely necessary.

Some are even attempting to flee the city. “My in-laws live near Nainital, and we will be travelling to live with them for a while,” says Anshu Aanand, an HR specialist at Sarvodaya Enclave. She further added, “We can’t stay in Delhi because of the pollution; it’s insane. There were so many crackers on Diwali that the seven-month-old was terrified and started sobbing. She had no idea what was going on, and she couldn’t sleep at night either. Because of the pollution, we can’t even take her out right now.”

Diwali 2021: Know why Diwali is called the Festival of Lights

The India Saga Saga |

This year, Diwali, commonly known as Deepavali, falls on November 4th. Deepavali literally means “a row of lights,” with “deep” meaning “light” and “avali” meaning “row.” As a result, Deepavali is known as the “Festival of Lights.” According to the Hindu calendar, Diwali is celebrated on the 15th day of the lunar month Kartik.

Significance of Lights on Diwali

Diwali is a festival that celebrates the triumph of good over evil, hope over despair, and knowledge over ignorance. The festival of Diwali is surrounded by many legends.

After defeating the demon Ravana, Lord Rama returned to the kingdom of Ayodhya with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman, according to legend. Lord Ram arrived after fourteen years in exile, and his subjects welcomed him by lighting diyas in the streets of Ayodhya.

On Diwali, people light diyas and lamps in their homes to welcome the Goddess Lakshmi into their homes, as it is believed that those who worship her on this day will be blessed with wealth and success. The occasion is also thought to be favorable for making new investments.

Lord Ganesha, the God of Fortune, is also prayed to by devotees. Diwali is also known as the day of Goddess Lakshmi’s marriage to Lord Vishnu. On the occasion of Diwali, worshipers in West Bengal pay homage to Goddess Kali.

Why is Diwali celebrated every year?

Lights and colorful Rangoli designs are used to beautify people’s homes. People clean their homes and purchase various new items to decorate and enhance them.

Ladoos, for example, are made at home and shared with family and friends. Early in the morning, devotees take a bath with herbal oils and worship to Goddess Lakshmi.

On Naraka Chaturdashi or Choti Diwali, one day before Diwali, Lord Krishna is also celebrated for slaying the monster Naraka. The fourth day of the five-day Diwali festival is dedicated to Lord Krishna, and the festivities end with Bhai-Dooj, the day when a brother-sister bond is honored.

Wishing You All a very Happy Diwali!
