In a touching event from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Ranveer Bharti, a 9-year-old boy who had harboured the dream of becoming an IPS officer, got his wishes fulfilled by the local police department. Ranveer Bharti who has been undergoing treatment for brain tumour at Mahamana Cancer Hospital, Varanasi, wishes to become an IPS officer. Knowing this, the local police department carried out the perfect plan to make the little boy happy.  

The heartfelt gesture was shared on the official X profile of ADG Zone Varanasi. The post, written in Hindi, when translated, reads “9-year-old boy Ranveer Bharti is undergoing treatment for brain tumour at the Mahamana Cancer Hospital, Varanasi. In such a situation, Ranveer’s desire to become an IPS officer was taken into consideration, and the child’s wish was fulfilled in the office of #adgzonevaranasi” The post also tagged Piyush Mordia, an IPS officer of the 1998 batch who has remained the Superintendent of Police in several districts of Uttar Pradesh. Piyush Mordia warmly welcomed Ranveer Bharti as the ADG, for a day, at the Varanasi ADG Zone.  

The post included attached pictures and videos that showcase the joy of the young boy. Bharti is seen wearing a khaki uniform and sitting inside a police cabin. Moreover, the accompanying video shows him interacting with police personnel, and acting like the perfect IPS officer. The group photo is a sure shot way of bringing tears to one’s eyes, capturing the terrific smiles of the police persons and Ranveer Bharti.  

Netizens over X, formerly known as twitter, thanked the authorities for allowing Bharti this once in a lifetime opportunity, and congratulated him on having his wishes fulfilled. The whole affair sheds a light on the compassion of people. Furtehrmore, it also focuses on the ability of humans to extend love, kindness, and empathy to the ones who need it.

On 19 June, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda University in Rajgir, Bihar. It also features several additional amenities, such as an international centre, a faculty club, and a sports complex, among others.

The new campus is planned with the manifesto of offering a diverse range of academic programs to initiate international collaboration. “Nalanda” is an eminent symbol of ancient India’s culture and wisdom. The new university attempts to imitate the ancient model’s feature of being rendered as a global site for learning. S Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister to whom we are indebted for providing a framework for this institution. One of the key tenets of this university include striving to become an academic institution for higher learning in Asia.

PM Modi had also paid a visit to the ruins of the ancient Nalanda University in Bihar to pay homage to its enduring legacy. The new university will revive the academic prowess of its namesake predecessor. It is an ode to the glorious past of India as well as an ambitious attempt to inspire the next generation of students. “Nalanda” evokes the notion of historic and cultural legacy of India. It reverberates the rich educational and knowledgeable foundations which were laid by the country, which to this date, remain unprecedented.

The original Nalanda University is one of the oldest residential Universities in India. It was established in the 6th century and thrived all the way through the 13th century. The academic outputs of this revolutionary educational epicentre spanned across 700 years. It was a host to people from all across the world including scholars and monks. In order to enrol in the university, people had to pass a strenuous entrance exam. While the world celebrates Western civilization as the pioneers of academic institutions, the Nalanda is a testament to the unparalleled vision and intellectual capabilities of India.

When a Chinese traveller named Hsuen Tsang visited Nalanda, he was amazed by the enormous collection of books in the library. Additionally, he was fascinated by the gatekeeper of the library, for he possessed extensive knowledge on a myriad of subjects. And in the 13th century, the ancient university was completely demolished by a looter and invader named Bakhtiyar Khilji. To this day, the lasting resonance of its grandiose still persists in the form of a myth. It is believed that the library of Nalanda was breath-takingly colossal, that it continued to burn for six months. The remains of this ancient site of learning were declared a UN Heritage site in 2016.

Mrs. Mahak Dhingra from Delhi won Mrs India International Queen 2024 1st Runner Up along with the prize money of Rs 50000 and Mrs. Lavanya Kannepalli from Bangalore won Mrs India International Queen 2024 2^nd Runner Up along with the prize money of Rs 25000

Mrs. Shruti Dubey from USA is the winner of Classic Mrs India International Queen 2024 and the winner of prize money Rs 1 Lac.
