Kapila Nagpal looked back at Bollywood cinema’s evolution with Rahul Rawail

Shubham Tyagi |

Rahul Rawail, a pioneer in Indian cinema, was recently interviewed by Kapila Nagpal, host and creator of ‘The Career Stories’. Many people found Kapila’s conversation fascinating. By bringing in various professionals through her YouTube channel, she serves as a modern-day storyteller and role model for young people, offering advice and inspiration.

For individuals who aspire to succeed in their careers, Kapila Nagpal’s Career Stories offer practical guidance on her transformative journey. She has an unparalleled ability to captivate audiences with words and vivid storytelling; it’s like a wellspring of emotions. Kapila and her audience are fascinated by her captivating storytelling, which is a tempting art form. Her episodes all have an unmatched flair that draws viewers in and makes them feel like they are part of the story. She candidly shares her experiences while telling thought-provoking, uplifting, and instructive tales. She presents a range of perspectives that teach us a lot about life and ourselves.

Rahul Rawail

A career that extended over several decades is what distinguishes Rahul Rawail. His background has prepared him to play an important role in sharing his expertise and wisdom. Being a director who has experienced Bollywood’s transformation from a personal perspective, his comments cast a light on Bollywood’s amelioration and the pathways that beginners in this industry can tread.

Rahul Rawail and Kapila Nagpal looked back at Bollywood cinema’s evolution, suggesting the development of storytelling types, filmmaking styles, and audience perceptions. From the old narratives that are mostly melodramatic to the creation of more exuberant stories or genres, for example, in the recent past, Bollywood has always been adapting to the changing tastes of its viewers.

Multiple Platforms

One important point the interviewee underlined was filming technologies in the Bollywood industry. Rawail highlighted that such technologies and the emergence of digital platforms have significantly diminished the resources and effort the directors use to start working. The present situation contrasts with the past, where an individual had to possess many friends, connections, and resources to be in the movie industry. However, newcomers can now showcase their best work in theatrical films, short films, and online platforms.

The session covered the crosses newcomers to Bollywood have to bear and their prospects. Even though markets allow emerging artists to prosper, the potential to get lost is incredibly high, and the competition is tough. Rawail gave tips on what a young director should possess to make it to the apex; he pointed out being persistent, inventive, and, “of course,” knowing how best to tell a story to his audience.

Role of a Mentor

Furthermore, through mentorship and collaboration, these two eminent Bollywood figures were in unison regarding their importance in Bollywood. Established filmmakers such as Rawail, who play the important role of developing and mentoring upcoming filmmaking brands, are integral to building and sustaining the film industry. This may be achieved through organised mentorship programs, discussions, and migrating into other societies known for excellent filmmaking by experienced professionals. The newcomers can gain big benefits such as learning from the best in the industry and gaining useful knowledge to uplift their excellence in filmmaking.

At the end of this interview with Rahul Rawail and the executive producer Kapila Nagpal, we concluded that Bollywood cinema had undergone its particular evolution since its inception and created a pursuable career pathway for budding directors. While it is on the move, it is still the place to draw the most inspiration for creative artists and test innovative ideas. The combination of talent, perseverance, and opportunities can open career paths for the new generation of Bollywood stars, who will, in turn, continue to enrich the ever-ravishing tapestry of Bollywood cinema.

Crew Movie Review: A glorious showcase of Female strength

Starring with Kareena, Kriti, and Tabu, the Crew uses two timelines. Three ladies navigating through moving waters, diving, jiving, and shucking gracefully.

TheIndiaSaga Team |

Crew movie review: Today, Tabu, Kriti, and Kareena appeared in another women-focused movie called Crew, which debuted in theatres. Three ladies navigating through moving waters, diving, jiving, and shucking gracefully while maintaining their fleet footedness and enjoying themselves—and ensuring that we do, too—can you imagine? The film’s background is largely based on Vijay Mallya and Kingfisher Airlines. Saswata Chatterjee, as Vijay Walia, is the owner of Kohinoor Airlines, where Geeta Sethi (Tabu), Jasmine (Kareena Kapoor Khan), and Divya (Kriti Sanon) are cabin crew members. The movie’s two hours and four minutes feature humour, clear suspense, a cliched heist, and lots of glamour.

Crew Movie Storyline

Starring with Kareena, Kriti, and Tabu, the Crew uses two timelines. The first is where the three are being questioned, and the second (older version) is where you learn about their past and the depth of their friendship. Tabu plays the most senior member of this cabin crew, followed by Kareena and Kriti. The next scene in the movie shows an airline going bankrupt and its workers being made to endure the barest minimum. This is where the three of them and many others have a common sorrow: a job without pay and money problems.

The makers also include a brief backstory of Kriti, Tabu, and Kareena in which they attempt to set the stage for the impending heist. The movie takes an intriguing turn when the three actors discover a ton of gold. This is followed by a brief but endearing introduction from Diljit Dosanjh, who plays Kriti Sanon’s romantic partner.

Upon discovering that the company is truly bankrupt, the assurances are false, and her financial statement is uncontested, Tabu, also known as Geeta, inspires the other two to jump. Following a delightful and abundant farewell moment, the three’s good time ends and are taken to be questioned. The ladies decide there is a fight within, with the system, and among themselves. The creators hit the correct notes while keeping everything within the comedy-drama genre.

Cinematic Extravaganza: March 2024’s Top 7 Upcoming Bollywood Movies

Direction

Rajesh A. Krishnan, most known for the lockdown OTT release Lootcase, is in charge of the Crew. With the Kunal Khemu film, Krishnan made the most of the chance, but Crew fell short. Krishnan has left many unanswered questions to avoid making this movie appear nonsensical. The director also made a grave error by starring Diljit and Kapil Sharma in a comedy movie without utilising their comedic timing. Both have emerged ‘just’ as the best candidates, with an almost serious role. Given the situation, the writer and director could have easily devised their punchlines. Krishnan deserves praise, though, for refraining from making absurd remarks in the name of empowering women.

Performance of the star

A movie in which Tabu, Kriti Sanon, and Kareena Kapoor play the lead roles. One can only anticipate strong performances from Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma in the supporting parts. In the movie Crew, Kareena Kapoor appears at her best. She is bold, astute, glamorous, humorous, and unrepentant. In this movie, Kareena seems a lot like Bebo. However, Tabu has the most memorable lines in the film. Her gestures, acting, and even gait convey that she is the most senior member of the cabin crew, as portrayed by the actor. Finally, it’s possible that Kriti Sanon was somewhat overshadowed by the other two. The actor makes up for it, though, with perfectly timed emotional expressions. Considering how well-matched Diljit and Kriti are, their love tale deserves more film.

Music

Crew has a mix of successful and unsuccessful songs. The film Ghagra and Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai are ideally positioned. You will be content with these songs because they further the story. The sad song and intro, though, didn’t appeal to me. However, Raj Ranjodh could have handled these more skillfully. Naturally, Diljit’s song Naina appears during the end credits and doesn’t further the movie’s plot. Crew’s party songs are generally catchy; you can hear them performing at events.

iOS 18: Apple will allow its users to customize home screen

With iOS 18, Apple would allow more personalisation options to its users, using home screen customizations and many more.

Arsh Verma |

Apple is all set to launch the next generation of iPhone platforms, iOS 18, which is expected to make a debut at its annual developer conference, the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2024. The focus of iOS 18 will be artificial intelligence, while it will put an equal emphasis on personalisation options enabled through home screen customizations on supported iPhone models.

iOS 18 would allow supported iPhone users to arrange icons more freely on the home screen. Moreover, it would let users create blank spaces, rows and columns between app icons, giving more personalisation options to the iPhone users. Android already offers this customisation option to users.

According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, iOS 18 will include artificial intelligence, making it the largest software update in iPhone history. Customizing the home screen on iOS 18 would be more convenient than on iOS 16.

Apple is also preparing for the anticipated March release of a redesigned iPad lineup. The Bloomberg writer claims that, despite the MacBook Air with M3 having already been released on March 4, the March 26 timeframe for the iPad unveiling is untrue.

Storytelling has the power to shape the lives of youngsters

Shubham Tyagi |

-An article by Kapila Nagpal, Founder of The Career Stories

In a world of information and noise, storytelling remains a timeless art form that captivates hearts, ignites imaginations, and inspires change. At the forefront of this narrative revolution are storytellers – individuals who can weave words into intricate tapestries of meaning and emotion. However, beyond mere entertainment, storytelling holds the transformative power to shape the lives of youngsters and illuminate the path to success through the tales of those who have walked it before them.

The soul of storytelling

At its core, storytelling transcends mere words on a page or screen; it is a profoundly human experience that resonates with our primal need for connection and understanding. Storytellers serve as conduits of wisdom, sharing narratives that reflect the triumphs, struggles, and universal truths of the human experience. Through their craft, they transport audiences to distant lands, shed light on untold perspectives, and stir the embers of hope and aspiration within young hearts.

Empowering the Next Generation

For youngsters navigating the labyrinth of life, storytelling offers more than mere entertainment – it provides guidance, inspiration, and a roadmap to success. By delving into the stories of successful individuals, young minds are exposed to a myriad of possibilities and potential pathways to achievement. Whether it’s the tale of a self-made entrepreneur, a trailblazing artist, or a visionary leader, these stories serve as beacons of hope, showing youngsters that their dreams are within reach and that adversity can be overcome with resilience and determination.

The Future of Storytelling

As we stand on the precipice of a new era, the future of storytelling holds boundless promise and potential. With the advent of technology, storytellers have unprecedented tools to craft immersive and interactive narratives that transcend the boundaries of traditional storytelling mediums. From virtual reality experiences to augmented reality adventures, the landscape of storytelling is evolving rapidly, offering limitless opportunities to engage and inspire audiences in new and innovative ways.

Amidst this technological revolution, one thing remains constant – the timeless power of a well-told story to touch hearts, change minds, and transform lives. As we look ahead, storytellers will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the cultural atmosphere and the narrative of our collective future.

In conclusion, the role of a storyteller is not merely to entertain but to enlighten, empower, and inspire. By sharing the stories of successful individuals and illuminating the path to achievement, storytellers have the power to transform the lives of youngsters and shape the course of history. As we embrace the future of storytelling, let us remember the profound impact a single story can have on the hearts and minds of those who dare to listen.

A captaincy romance of Rohit & Hardik

Shubham Tyagi |

We all have seen Bahubali and like it very much. One scene of the movie that made a special place in the audience’s hearts was when Rajmata Shivgami Devi appointed Bhallaldev the ruler by replacing Bahubali. However, the kingdom does not accept him and considers Bahubali their leader. The ongoing edition of the world’s most famous cricketing league, IPL, witnessed the same incident when the newly appointed captain of Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya, was booed by the fans. Former leader Rohit Sharma is loved by all.

In the 17th session, MI’s first match was against the Gujarat Titans; Hardik Pandya had a special connection with both of the teams. Where MI helped him make a superstar, GT allowed him to explore his captaincy skills. In the first match, when he came out for the toss against his former subordinate, he was booed by the crowd, and the fans started chanting Rohit-Rohit.

In December 2023, when the trading window was open, MI traded back their former all-rounder, Hardik Pandya and made him the leader of the ship for the upcoming session by replacing the most successful captain in the history of IPL. The decision faced backlash, and the most successful teams started losing their fan base; in just 24 hours, Mumbai lost more than 1 Million followers on Instagram. The netizens criticised the decision, and social media witnessed a current wave of support for the captain of the Indian team.

Top 5 most expensive purchases made in the history of the Indian Premier League Auction 2024

This is not the first instance of trading in a sports league; it is very common in football, baseball, and basketball. But this is something new for Indian fans, and their behaviour shows they do not digest such things. For Indian fans, cricket is a religion, and the players they love are like idols to them. If anything happens like this, they react emotionally. Fans forget that Rohit Sharma is still a legend and captain of their National team, and after 2 months, he led their team in the World Cup.

Amid all this, experts criticise Hardik for the decision he made. In the first match against GT, he bowled the first over despite having the world’s number-one bowler on his side. In the second inning of the game, when Mumbai was in a comfortable position, he sent Tim David ahead of him against Rashid Khan and made the situation complicated for other batters. Veterans like Irfan Pathan, Virendra Sehwag, and Kevin Peterson take a dig at MI’s captain for his decision.

In his second match as a skipper for MI, he gave only one over to Bumrah when the opposition was taking off the scoreboard with a run rate of 13 per over. He found himself clueless in the Hyderabad storm. He also played a defensive knock of 20 in 24 balls, where all other players batted with a strike rate of 200+. Now, he is the captain with an unwanted record of conceding 275+ runs in the history of IPL.

Still, there is a long way to go before he can turn down the table; he has 12 matches in his pocket. For Hardik, it’s not just a test of his captaincy but also his character. He has to prove so many things to the fans, players, management, and, most importantly, himself. During all this, the relationship between Rohit & Hardik is not affected, which is a positive thing for MI. However, during all this, fans must also understand that it is just a league sport and management’s decision is respected. This is just the beginning of trade; they will see so many things like this in the future as the league culture evolves.

Congress Spokesperson Supria Shrinate Vulgurly Remarked on Kangana Ranaut

Congress Spokesperson Supria Shrinate Vulgurly Remarked on Actress Kangana Ranaut who received the ticket from BJP for upcoming elections.

Arsh Verma |

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate is often seen in television debates. She recently sparked controversy after posting a derogatory post about Actress Kangana Ranaut. She deleted the post afterwards. The National Commission for Women India demands action against the politician. In addition to this, Mr. H.S. Ahir, State Joint Co-ordinator, Kisan Congress, commented vulgarly on Kangana and attacked her personally in an inappropriate manner.

The photo posted by Supriya’s social media account (Instagram) targeted the Actress directly in a lewd manner. This incident occurred weeks before the national elections. Bollywood actress Ms Ranaut is contesting the polls on a BJP ticket from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, according to news sources.

The National Commission for Women India is appalled with this act by the politician; the commission twitted on X, formerly Twitter, saying, “National Commission for Women is appalled by the disgraceful conduct of Ms. Supriya Shrinate and Mr. H.S. Ahir, who made lewd and derogatory remarks about Kangana Ranaut on social media. Such behaviour is intolerable and goes against the dignity of women. @sharmarekha has sent a letter to the Election Commissioner of India demanding an immediate and strict action against them. Let’s uphold respect and dignity for all women.”

Actress Kangana Responded to Ms Shrinate’s lewd remark, pointing out that she has played different women roles, “from a prostitute in Rajjo to a revolutionary leader in Thalaivii.”

She further said, “We must free our daughters from the shackles of prejudices, we must rise above the curiosity about their body parts and above all, we must refrain from using sex workers’ challenging lives or circumstances as some kind of abuse or slur… every woman deserves her dignity.”

Congress spokesperson Supriya later released a video clarifying that she did not post that; someone else made it. As soon as she learned, she deleted the post-Ms. Supriya mentioned in the clarification video.

Although this is not the first time when she has used this kind of language for someone, before this, in various television news channel debates, she was seen using foul language targeting people linked to the Bhartiya Janata Party or even those who praise the work of BJP. As she is into politics, she must be careful not to use such language for someone. She have a good follower base; his followers might harm Ms. Kangana by commenting inappropriately on social media or in real life as well. As a woman and as a politician, she should act responsibly.

Swatantrya Veer Savarkar: The Most Awaited Movie of Randeep Hooda

Review of Swatantra Veer Savarkar: Although Randeep Hooda’s performance as the lead was visually stunning, his directing still needs more effort.

TheIndiaSaga Team |

Plotline of the movie: The film Swatantra Veer Savarkar, directed by actor Randeep Hooda, is based on the life of freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, who, in contrast to Mahatma Gandhi, chooses the path of violence to achieve freedom and how his ideas end up posing a threat to British citizens.

Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Story & Review

The life of VD Savarkar is portrayed in Swatantra Veer Savarkar, which opens in theatres on March 22. In addition to playing Savarkar in the movie, Randeep Hooda also made his directorial debut. Nearly every facet of his life is depicted in the film. A young Savarkar and his family watch their father die at the beginning of the movie. He soon grows up and decides to fight for freedom and strengthen his case; he wants to visit London and learn about British law. He is admitted to Fergusson College in Pune, where he makes his first stop on the journey. He founded the Abhinav Bharat Society and started the independence movement before he even set foot on campus.

The movie emphasises the major events in Veer Savarkar’s life. These include his encounters with Gandhi, his abortive attempt to arrange an escape to seek safety in France, his life sentence in the Andaman Islands, also known as Kaala Paani, his conversion while incarcerated, his transfer from the Andaman jail to Ratnagiri jail, and his eventual release. The movie also provides insight into his life after his prison release and political career.

Censored, Then Silenced: Nayanthara Apologizes as ‘Annapoorni’ Gets Pulled

Swatantra Veer Savarkar has its highs and lows. Let’s start with its pinnacles. For the most part, the film was engaging to watch. Until and even after the Kaala Paani sentence, most of the movie remains faithful to his story. Randeep Hooda, however, exercises artistic license and presents sequences that may have yet to work out in real life when the political career bit begins to take shape. There is a scene in the movie where Bhagat Singh meets Savarkar, but no historical evidence supports this account. It also raises the possibility that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose asked Veer Savarkar for advice before making a significant political decision after being inspired by him. Furthermore, there is no proof of this, and to cap it all, Chandra Kumar Bose, Netaji’s grandnephew.

Performances of the stars

When it comes to performances, Randeep Hooda performed his life and gave Vinayak Damodar Savarkar his very best, presenting an overall stunning performance into the character’s life. Despite having a short time as Yamuna Bai, Ankita Lokhande Jain leaves a lasting impression with her strong presence. Among other cast members, Mark Bennington and Amit Sial have significant roles in the film.

Star Casts of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar

Randeep Hooda, Ankita Lokhande, Mark Bennington, Amit Sial, Richard Bhakti Klein, Ed Robinson, Russell Geoffrey Banks, David Michael Harrison, Hella Stichlmair, Apinderdeep Singh, Sal Yusuf.
