What is the purpose of the protests being led by farmer unions in Noida and Greater Noida?

TheIndiaSaga Team |

On Thursday, farmers from more than 140 villages in Noida and Greater Noida will march towards Parliament in protest of the failure to meet the demands of three farmer unions regarding the resolution of their long-standing disputes over land acquisition. There are four protests going on right now in the Uttar Pradesh district of Gautam Buddha Nagar.

At the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) headquarters in Sector 24 and Noida Authority in Sector 6, the Jai Jawan Jai Kisan organization is leading a protest against the Ansal builders, All India Kisan Sabha against Greater Noida Authority, and Bharatiya Kisan Parishad. All of these groups met as a Mahapanchayat on Wednesday at the Greater Noida Authority office. There, it was decided to march to Parliament on Thursday to demand that their issues be resolved within a certain amount of time.Farmers want two things in particular. Firstly, they demand 10% of the developed land to be used as residential plots for their families as compensation for the land that the authorities have taken from them for various development projects. The farmers contend that they are landless because the majority of their land was purchased.

They wonder how their families and the next generation will make it while the government takes their land and brags about development. As of right now, the Noida Authority only gives the farmers 5% of the entire amount of land they have purchased, which they consider insufficient. As compensation for land acquisition, the Yamuna Authority gives them 7% of the developed plot, while the Greater Noida Authority gives them 6%.Furthermore, the farmers want extra money, with amounts determined by market rates from the time the land was purchased for various projects. The farmers claim that they are still suffering because their land was purchased at a low cost many years ago.

RBI declares a crackdown on Paytm Payments Bank because of ongoing non-compliance

TheIndiaSaga Team |

According to a central bank official on Thursday, the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) crackdown on Paytm Payments Bank’s operations resulted from persistent non-compliance with the regulator’s standards. At a press conference held after the central bank’s monetary policy review, RBI deputy governor Swaminathan J stated that the regulatory actions were implemented after allowing the company enough time to comply.

Citing supervisory concerns and rule violations, the RBI ordered Paytm Payments Bank to cease accepting new deposits in its accounts or well-known digital wallets as of March 1. At the same briefing, RBI governor Shaktikanta Das stated, “Enough time is given to non-compliant entities, but action is taken when bilateral talks don’t yield action.”

In the event that a constructive engagement fails or the regulated entity fails to take effective action, Das stated that supervisory or business restrictions would be imposed.

Das also mentioned that the central bank will provide any necessary clarifications regarding the Paytm order next week. As per Swaminathan’s statement, appropriate measures will be implemented to minimise any potential inconvenience to customers. How the central bank intends to proceed needed to be made clear by him. The remarks made by the deputy governor caused Paytm shares to drop by 10% on the National Stock Exchange. At last, the shares had experienced a 9% decline.

Vasant Panchami: Importance and Significance

TheIndiaSaga Team |

Indian festivals are centred on harmony and unity. Decent food, fresh clothes, and small get-togethers go hand in hand with all the fun and games. This calls for Basant Panchami celebrations because spring is a season of happiness for everyone. Winter gives way to spring at the start of Vasant Panchami, also known as Basant Panchami. Winter gradually ends after Makar Sankranti (January 14–15), bringing warmer days as the sun slowly moves northward from the tropics of Capricorn. When the subcontinent exhales after a harsh winter, a welcome shift in temperature signals the approach of spring. Around the time of Holi, spring truly blossoms following this roughly 30-day transition period that begins with Vasant Panchami.

In the Indian lunisolar calendar, Vasant Panchami occurs on the fifth day of the bright lunar fortnight (Sukla Paksha) in the month of Magha. This is equivalent to the Gregorian months of January and February.

Hindus celebrate Basant Panchami as Saraswati Pooja in honour of Maa Saraswati, the goddess of learning, music, and the arts, who is said to have been born on this day. People start new jobs, get married, or start anything new on this auspicious day.

Vasant Panchami: Relationship to the goddess Trinity

This land holds excellent significance for Vasant Panchami. The festival of the Saraswati River was also observed on Vasant Panchami. This celebration, which honours Goddess Saraswati, is called Saraswati puja in many regions of India. While Saraswati temples are adorned and crowded with devotees, Saraswati pujas are performed in homes. Since one of the names of the goddess Lakshmi is Sri, it is observed as Sri Panchami in southern India. On the day of Vasant Panchami, Goddess Parvati also dispatched Kama Deva to thwart Lord Shiva’s penance. Thus, the three goddesses of the Hindu trinity are linked to this festival of Vasant Panchami. Put another way, it’s a day to honour learning, wealth, and artistic joy.

How do the Saraswati River and the Goddess Saraswati relate to Vasant Panchami?

An ancient river in northwest India called the Saraswati River dried up over time. Back then, when spring arrived, the Himalayan glaciers would melt, causing the Saraswati River to flow more quickly. The mustard plants that bordered the river used to bloom in total, their yellow blossoms adorning the banks for miles along the riverbank, creating a breathtaking sight. It’s interesting to note that in Indian tradition, the colour yellow stands for knowledge. It is springtime’s hue.

A day honouring knowledge

The banks of the Saraswati River were once home to the ashrams of the rishis. The sage Veda Vyasa also lived here. The Vedas, Upanishads, and other scriptures were written and assembled on the banks of the Saraswati River. As a result, the river came to be connected to the goddess of wisdom and knowledge, Saraswati.

Goddess Saraswati completes her association with the festival and the river on Vasant Panchami when draped in yellow. Today, people share food items coloured yellow and dress in yellow. Additionally, Vasant Panchami, a day dedicated to worshipping Goddess Saraswati, celebrates knowledge because, according to some traditions, it marks the beginning of a child’s education.

Many educational institutions observe Saraswati Pooja because it is thought to bestow talent, wisdom, and skill. Educational establishments, such as colleges and schools, throw intense celebrations for it. Maa Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom and knowledge, is said to be celebrating her birthday on this day. She received prayers from teachers and students, and plans for the day included singing, dancing, and other activities. This day has great significance because it is marked by the belief that it is a day of worship for books, and therefore, one should not touch or study books.

The Delhi court will rule at 4 p.m. today on the ED’s appeal against Arvind Kejriwal

TheIndiaSaga Team |

On Wednesday, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi is expected to decide a complaint brought by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, for allegedly disobeying a summons in connection with an alleged money laundering case involving the liquor excise policy. At 4 p.m., the court will deliver its decision.

The investigation team went before the Delhi court on February 2, the day after Kejriwal ignored its summons for the fifth time. Divya Malhotra, the additional chief metropolitan magistrate, received the complaint and scheduled a follow-up hearing for Wednesday.

Kejriwal disregarded the fifth ED summons, claiming it was “illegal,” and claimed the BJP intended to have Kejriwal arrested to overthrow the government in Delhi.

The ED initially called the chief minister on November 2. Still, he ignored it, claiming the notice was “vague, motivated, and unsustainable in law,” and instead took off for a political rally in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh.

On December 21, Kejriwal was summoned by the investigation agency to testify; however, he enrolled in a 10-day Vipassana meditation course at a centre located in the Hoshiarpur district of Punjab. He was called upon three times this year: January 3, January 18, and February 2. He was called upon twice last year, on November 2 and December 21.

What is the case of the Delhi excise policy?

The Delhi government, led by Arvind Kejriwal, introduced an excise policy in 2021–2022 with the intention of revitalizing the city’s struggling liquor industry by substituting a license fee for traders for the previous sales-volume-based system. However, it was abandoned after Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena requested a CBI investigation into the policy and claimed anomalies.

The AAP was paid ₹100 crore in bribes to finalize the policy, and the party utilized a sizable portion of that sum for its Goa election campaign, as per the CBI chargesheet. Additionally, it claimed that some members of the “South Group” were involved in the purported irregularities.

High-ranking AAP officials have been detained by the investigation team thus far, including Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh and former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, who have been arrested since last year.

Noida Metro Expansion: 11 New Stations across Aqua Line

TheIndiaSaga Team |

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will extend the Metro to Greater Noida West. The Aqua Line corridor extension has been approved by NMRC, along with a revised Detailed Project Report (DPR).

There will be eleven stations along the Aqua Line corridor extension. This extension will terminate at Knowledge Park V in Greater Noida and begin at the Sector 51 station in Noida. With its consent, the DPR made a few minor alignment adjustments.

Information regarding the Aqua Line project

“The proposed interconnectivity of the existing operational Aqua Line to the DMRC’s Blue line at Sector-61 station and benefiting the commuters of Noida, Greater Noida West area, and Greater Noida area with faster and direct connectivity towards Noida and Delhi and vice versa” is why the project is essential, according to NMRC Managing Director Lokesh M. At a cost of ₹2991.60 crore, the plan called for 11 stations along a 17.43-kilometre route, according to MSN News.

Currently, the Aqua Line connects Sector 51 in Noida to the Depot station in Greater Noida. The average daily ridership has increased significantly since 2019, doubling from 18,000 to 45,000 in 2023.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s Blue Line and the NMRC’s Aqua Line will interchange at the Noida Sector-61 station, the NMRC official continued. The NMRC official added that stations along the proposed corridor would be located at Noida Sector-61, Sector-70, Sector-122, Sector-123, Greater Noida Sector-4, Ecotech 4, Greater Noida Sector 2, 3, 10, 12, and Greater Noida Knowledge Park-V.

Noida Metro: The Aqua Line Project’s advantages

Vikas Marg and the Noida-Greater Noida Link Road will allow commuters from Noida, Greater Noida West, and Greater Noida to benefit from the project. In addition to cutting down on travel time, the Aqua Line corridor extension will aid in clearing the congestion on these roads.

Additional initiatives

Additionally, plans are underway to add two more corridors to the Noida Metro network. Officials claim that one is a corridor connecting the Botanical Garden Metro Station and the Noida Sector-142 station, and the other is an extension from the NMCR Depot Station to Bodaki in Greater Noida.

The Botanical Garden-Sector 142 corridor’s DPR requires approval before it can be implemented, according to NMRC officials. The NMRC filed the DPR to the Uttar Pradesh government, and the Center will need to approve it after it is granted.

What is overthinking, and how do you beat it?

TheIndiaSaga Team |

Thinking without boundaries is like listening to a crazy orchestra, where ideas clash and create a thunderstorm in the mind. A thunderstorm of shifting doubt, a storm of ideas flashing in a frantic conspiracy, is mental restlessness means overthinking. It leaves the thinker in a delusion and maze of doubts that would be critical to mental health. Overthinking makes thoughts uncontrollable and unleashes a torrent of hypotheticals and what-if scenarios. Sometimes, it sparks unrealistic incidents and turns into a volcano of thoughts. In this article, we learn how to beat overthinking and become a master of your thoughts.

8 Ways to Beat Overthinking

1. The problem is a mirage

99% of the harm is caused in your head by you and your thoughts, and the reality causes 1% of the harm, what happens, and the outcome. Most of the time, the problem is not the problem; it is just a mirage. To overcome this, a person has to focus on what matters the most.

2. Avoid self-rejection

  • Do you deserve that opportunity? Apply for it anyway.
  • Is your article good enough? Publish it anyway.
  • Will they reply to your email? Send it anyway.
  • Never overthink yourself into self-rejection.

3. Silence

The truth is that most problems still need to be solved with more thinking. You have to find most of the answers while looking for them silently and with a clear mind. If you think you can not solve a problem, stop trying to do it.

4. The most important question

When you start criticising yourself for past mistakes or seeing disaster around every corner, ask yourself: “Is there anything I can do right now to change the past or positively influence the future?” If the answer is yes, do it – take action. If the answer is no, be at peace – let it go. You have to take action or let it go; everything else is self-harm.

5. Live in the present moment

You are not going to overthink your way to a better future. You are not going to overthink your way to a better past. All you have is now. And what you can do with now can make right of your past and make good for your future. Make peace with yesterday, let go of tomorrow, and grab hold of now.

6. Fact-check your thoughts

Your thoughts will create scenarios that reflect your insecurities, fears, and worries. So, it is essential to always fact-check your thoughts before accepting them. However, in highly emotional situations, your thoughts will tell you stories that are not always true. In that particular situation, you have to fact-check yourself.

 7. Accept the peace

No amount of anxiety will change your future, and no amount of anxiety will change your past. Peace is found in acceptance:

  • Accept imperfection
  • Accept uncertainty
  • Accept the uncontrollable

You do not have to understand, tolerate or even forget something, but if you want peace, you must accept it.

8. Health starts in your mind

You can go to the gym, eat healthy, do yoga, drink water, and take vitamins. However, if you do not directly confront the negativity in your thoughts, you will never indeed be “HEALTHY”.

Health is not measured on scales, by the size of our muscles or the width of our waist. Proper health is measured by the quality of our thoughts and the peacefulness of our minds.

Bhumi Pednekar Exposes Evil in Bhakshak

The story revolves around an unwavering woman’s quest to seek justice and her perseverance in bringing a heinous crime to light. A glimpse of Vaishali’s battle for justice for the young girls can be seen in the trailer. In her conflict with actor Aditya Srivastava’s portrayal of Bansi Sahu, she is supported by Sanjay Mishra.

Bhakshak Plot

The story takes place in Bihar, as evidenced by Bhumi’s authentic attempt at portraying Vaishali. The authors have made an effort to bring up the subject of why some choose to remain silent in the face of horrific crimes against women occurring nearby. Towards the end, Bhumi’s Vaishali asks, “Have you forgotten to feel the pain of others? Do you still call yourself a human or feel you are a ‘Bhakshak’ (predator)?”

Bhakshak is a “clutter-breaking film,” according to Bhumi Pednekar. Experiencing a profound moment as a part of the film, she expressed her gratitude for characters like Vaishali Singh and scripts like “Bhakshak” that dare to tell these powerful stories. TheIndiaSaga Team |

Are you sick and weary of putting things off until the last minute? Is putting things off becoming a habit for you? The negative behaviour known as procrastination is the inability to start or finish a task within the allotted time.

This conduct, which has been seen in adults, kids, and students of all ages, results in procrastination and has detrimental effects on student’s academic performance, stress, guilt, and self-esteem; therefore, it’s crucial to identify it early and take action to protect students’ future careers.

Recognizing the risks associated with procrastination is critical because it will enable you to identify how procrastination negatively impacts others, including yourself. Additionally, by being aware of these problems, you and others will be more motivated to overcome procrastination.

Benefits of overcoming procrastination

Benjamin Franklin rightly said, “You may delay, but the time will not.” Thus, the focus is the main key to overcoming procrastination; mark the word’ time will never wait for anyone.

Avoiding procrastination would increase the level of productivity; one presents their work with more concentration, and this will also increase the level of creativity. Moreover, overcoming procrastination will help you release stress and motivate you to perform well and give your best for that particular goal. This will also help you become a goal-oriented person by achieving your daily targets.

One of the best ways to overcome procrastination is to set clear goals for yourself. This will help you to stay motivated.

What are the causes of procrastination?

When someone can pinpoint the cause of procrastination, you start developing solutions and strategies to overcome it. Perfectionism is the most significant cause because perfection is impossible to achieve, and aiming for it sets unrealistic expectations.

The research shows that people who procrastinate suffer from lower well-being and higher levels of stress and anxiety, which can reduce self-esteem and lead to depression. Non-procrastinators tend to have a strong sense of personal identity and higher levels of self-esteem. That means they are less concerned with what other people think of them.

Understanding the concept of procrastination gives more insightful thoughts on avoiding. It will develop the urge to perform and do well.

5 Strategies for Boosting Productivity

  • Develop the strategies

Developing good strategies to avoid procrastination would be an appropriate way to move towards a successful path. You can focus on making progress one step at a time by breaking the project into smaller, more manageable parts. A perfect time management schedule reduces stress and makes people happy.

By eliminating distractions, one can stay focused and avoid procrastination significantly. Stopping procrastination would lead towards a better goal and enhance your level of positivity and self-confidence in you. Below is a list of strategies that one can acquire to avoid procrastination.

  • Set achievable Goals

Many people put off doing tasks because they feel too big to handle or need guidance on where to begin. Breaking down your homework into manageable tasks, such as creating a term paper outline or studying for an exam in small doses, can help an assignment seem less overwhelming. You can also set a timer for a predetermined amount of time to maintain focus.

  • Eliminating the distractions

Have you ever attempted to study but discovered that you were constantly being distracted by social media notifications or people approaching you? Most people experience this if they make an effort to hold themselves responsible. Once you’ve located a spot that works for you, you need to eliminate distractions by, for example, turning off or muting your phone.

  • Break down the enormous task into pieces.

Organizing an enormous task into smaller, more doable tasks is a great way to combat it and accomplish your objectives. It’s common to feel overwhelmed and demoralized by a project that seems too big or complex, which can result in procrastination. But if you divide the project into smaller, easier-to-manage components, you can concentrate on moving forward little by little.

  • Celebrate your progress and small victories.

Finally, as you move forward and conquer procrastination, remember to acknowledge and appreciate your accomplishments. Rewarding yourself for your achievements can help you stay inspired and keep going.

Conclusion

Procrastination will lead you towards the negative. Sometimes, it is OK to postpone the given task, but you also have to remember that it must not become your habit. Avoiding your work and depending on everything for tomorrow can have a significant negative impact on your life.

Thus, try to understand the concept of procrastination and follow these strategies to avoid the habit of postponement. It may harm your body and overall health and can be proven as breakage towards your success. Thus, to be successful in life and fulfil your aspirations, neglect this whole concept of procrastination, focus on your roles and responsibilities, and move forward with objectives in mind.
