Fighter Review: Trailer Shows Hrithik Roshan at His Best!

Plot of ‘695’

The search results still need to include the official plot details. Based on the scant information, the film is anticipated to be a 500-year saga that documents the unwavering struggle and sacrifice for the Ram Mandir. Most people agree that the story is based on the Ram Janambhumi Struggle.

The film’s title, “695”, alludes to the 500-year battle and sacrifice to support the Ram Mandir, a revered symbol of Indian culture.

The film presents the facts behind this historic victory in an attempt to connect with every Indian. Given the historical and cultural background of the movie, the number “695” probably has symbolic meaning. The film follows the lives of various characters who were involved in the movement for the temple.

The movie also showcases the various conflicts, challenges, and controversies. The movement faced over centuries, such as the communal riots, court cases, political agenda, media trials, historical evidence and public sentiments.

Pakistan strikes Iran in retaliation, 9 people are reportedly killed

TheIndiaSaga Team |

At least 9 people were killed in an attack by Pakistan’s air force on Iran early on Thursday, which was carried out in retaliation for Iranian militant positions and further heightened tensions between the two countries.

The Associated Press reported that the strikes in Sistan and Baluchestan province come after Iran attacked Pakistani territory on Tuesday, killing two children in the southwest province of Baluchistan.

The strikes put diplomatic ties between the two neighbours in jeopardy because Pakistan, which possesses nuclear weapons, and Iran have long harboured misgivings about one another due to terrorist attacks.

The Middle East, which is still uneasy because of Israel’s conflicts with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, is more likely to experience violence as a result of the attacks. In response to a suicide bombing claimed by ISIS that earlier claimed over 90 lives, Iran also carried out airstrikes in Syria and Iraq late on Monday.

Iran-Pakistan Hostility: Iranian missile strike on Balochistan

Their attack was characterized as “a series of highly coordinated and specifically targeted precision military strikes” by Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry. The Foreign Ministry said, “This morning’s action was taken in light of credible intelligence of impending large-scale terrorist activities.” “Pakistan’s resolute determination to safeguard and defend its national security against all threats is demonstrated by this action.”

Iran and Pakistan are home to several insurgent groups, such as the Jaish al-Adl separatist group, which Tehran specifically targeted in its strike. An independent Baluchistan for ethnic Baluch regions in Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan is their shared objective.

Baluch nationalists have waged a low-level insurgency in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province and Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province for over 20 years.

Pakistan strikes Iran

The operation was called “Marg Bar Sarmachar” in Pakistan. Marg bar, which translates to “death to” in Iranian Farsi, has been a well-known expression in Iran since the 1979 Revolution and has been applied to both Israel and the US. The term “sarmachar,” which translates to “guerrilla,” is used by the militants who operate in the cross-border area.

In a phone interview, Ali Reza Marhamati, the deputy governor of Sistan and Baluchestan province in Iran, provided the death toll from Thursday’s strike, stating that three women and four children were among the dead. He only said that the deceased were at first, without providing any further details.

HalVash, an advocacy group for the Baluch people, uploaded images of what appeared to be the remaining ammunition from the attack to the internet. It said that damage had been done to many homes in Saravan, an Iranian city in the Sistan and Baluchestan province. Videos of a building with mud walls collapsing and smoke rising over the explosion were circulated.

The events of Thursday occurred one day after Pakistan called back its ambassador to Tehran due to Iran’s strikes in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Baluchistan on Tuesday. Iran asserted that it targeted a militant separatist group’s bases. Pakistan, which described the attack as a “blatant violation” of its airspace and claimed two children were killed, strongly condemned it.

Govt Spends Slow, Banks Face ₹2 Lakh Crore Liquidity Gap

sachin |

Due to lower government spending and slower growth in bank deposits relative to credit, the banking system liquidity gap increased to over Rs 2 lakh crore on January 15, just two weeks before the Interim Budget was announced.

The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) injection of funds into the banking system indicates the liquidity deficit, which was recorded at Rs 2.11 lakh crore on Monday. This is the highest level since December 28, when the deficit was recorded at Rs 2.68 lakh crore. The advance tax and goods and services tax (GST) payments were the cause of the December liquidity deficit.

Banks Face ₹2 Lakh Crore Liquidity Gap

The reason for liquidity tightness is that deposits are increasing more slowly than credit. Both have slowed, but deposits have diverted more than credit has. As a result, the system is experiencing a liquidity crunch, according to Bank of Baroda Chief Economist Madan Sabnavis.

According to the most recent RBI data, during the two weeks that concluded on December 29, bank deposits increased by 13% year over year (y-o-y), while credit increased by 20%. The impact of HDFC and HDFC Bank’s merger is included in the growth. By December 2023, bank deposits had risen by Rs 23.48 lakh crore, reaching Rs 200 lakh crore.

Champat Rai explained Pran Pratistha’s procedure

According to Sabnavis, a significant portion of retail deposits have moved to mutual funds, making the growth of deposits difficult.

“This liquidity deficit situation may be expected to persist as funds are flowing to mutual funds, which will challenge deposit growth even if credit growth slows down, albeit slightly,” the speaker stated.

According to the most recent data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), the mutual fund industry’s assets under management reached a record high of Rs 50.77 lakh crore in December 2023. The AUM of the mutual fund sector increased by about Rs 11 lakh crore in 2023.

Analysts say the government’s increased cash holdings also tighten the general liquidity. Government spending decreased recently and was anticipated to grow in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year. They did note, though, that fiscal consolidation is receiving more attention.

Soumyajit Niyogi, Director of Core Analytical Group, India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra), stated, “We thought the government would spend higher than usual in the last quarter (Q4), but it seems they are prioritizing fiscal consolidation and so, the spending is lower which, in turn, has tightened the liquidity situation.” The projected fiscal deficit for 2024 is 5.9% of GDP.

Merry Christmas Movie Review: Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif give the year a strong start

TheIndiaSaga Team |

There once was a period in Bombay. A warm Christmas Eve. Two strangers, both alone. With a solid start to the new year, Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas delivers on its promises of an aching blend of romance and nostalgia, mystery and suspense.

Twenty years after making his screen debut in Ek Hasina Thi, Sriram Raghavan presents another delicious story about a lovely woman whom an unknown person harasses. The damsel has developed into a mother, and this time, she is hiding a secret from both the man and herself. We witness some witty and melancholic conversations about unfulfilled love and unrelenting heartache as they get along on Christmas Eve. Still, the slow burn eventually consumes our attention, leaving plenty of soot in its wake.

Like his spiritual mentor Alfred Hitchcock, Raghavan enjoys giving the audience as much information as possible while still confusing us with the strange ways of fate. That may explain why his movies are so worth seeing again. You can’t help but want to return to the crime scene to locate the needle you missed.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya: Pyaar Is Unachievable for Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor

He adds delectable literary and cinematic allusions to the story to make it more appealing. Thus, a copy of Raymond Chandler’s Playback appears just when you wish to return a few frames. Similar to the book, Vinay Pathak, the investigating officer, is touched by the subject of the investigation’s emotional pleas.

He makes allusions to The Adventures of Pinocchio (1986), The Merry Widow (1952), and Kati Patang (1971) as he builds to a story of lies, half-truths, and shifting perceptions. Not to be overlooked is the song by Asha Bhosle from Raja Rani (1973), which honours the thief within each of us.

Merry Christmas Review

  • Director: Sriram Raghavan
  • Cast: Vinay Pathak, Sanjay Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, and Vijay Sethupathi
  • Duration: 141 minutes.
  • Storyline: A romantic meet-cute between two strangers on Christmas Eve swiftly devolves into a chaotic nightmare.

The production design creates the era’s atmosphere. It gives the film the pulpy feel of a paperback edition while the dialogue is deep without being didactic. Pritam’s compositions clearly show the smooth build-up; the sound design heightens the mystery, and the editing infuses the story with clever surprises.

Katrina and Vijay, the two losers in love, are a good match, and Sanjay Kapoor gives the story a subtle, sleazy touch. Katrina, in what may be her most sophisticated and multifaceted role to date, not only plays a stunning and seemingly innocent woman but also manages to capture the essence of a nuanced and multidimensional character.

She is suitably flirtatious with Vijay, who pulls the strings with a performance that simultaneously warms and breaks the heart, and she looks less stiff in her conversations with the camera. Without empathetic characters, this crime drama would not have been able to hold together, and Vijay is the central figure. Through his jiving style or portrayal of Albert’s powerlessness in the face of Maria’s mystery, Vijay transforms a helpless hero into a charming encounter.

75th Republic Day: Theme & Chief Guest of 26th January 2024

TheIndiaSaga Team |

India, the mother of all democracies, is eagerly waiting to celebrate its 75th Republic Day. The celebration of January 26 is not only about the Armed Forces parade and its triumph but also the honouring of the completion of India’s constitution. Without this, India cannot touch the heights of generosity and the glory of ethics & morality, which it has concretised recently. These values are always inherent in the heart of every individual, but due to the impact of colonialism and the divide-and-rule policy of Britishers hide them.

The country attained independence on August 15, 1947, and it took over two years to form a constitution. However, when it was ready, it emerged as one of the best constitutions the world has ever had—the visionary leaders Dr Rajendra Prasad, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, B.R Ambedkar, B.N Roy, and so many others did a lot of hard work to make India a republic.

History of Republic Day

On January 26, 1950, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the country’s first president, unfurled the flag to establish the Indian Republic officially. The day was acknowledged as India’s Republic Day and became a national holiday. The first Republic Day parade was held in 1950. The location was Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, formerly the Irwin Amphitheatre. 3,000 Indian military personnel and more than 100 aircraft participated in the show. President Sukarno of Indonesia was the first chief guest of India’s inaugural Republic Day procession. The first parade on Rajpath took place in 1955. It’s interesting to note that Malik Ghulam Muhammad, the governor-general of Pakistan, was the primary guest of honour on that occasion.

Theme and Chief Guest

Preparations are underway for the Parade at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. French President Emmanuel Macron will be attending the 75th Republic Day of India as the chief guest. This will mark the sixth time a head of state from France will be the main attraction at the festivities.

Republic Day 2024 will have “India-Mother of Democracy” and “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) as its themes.
