Facebook gets renamed as “Meta”, emphasising on Metaverse vision

The India Saga Saga |

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the firm is renaming as Meta to better reflect its virtual-reality vision for the future, which he refers to as the “metaverse.” Statistics point out that it looks to be an attempt to divert attention away from the Facebook Papers, a leaked document trove named as such by a group of news companies including The Associated Press. Many of these records have revealed how Facebook ignored or downplayed internal warnings about the negative and frequently harmful repercussions their social network algorithms caused or exacerbated around the world, as first documented by former Facebook employee turned whistleblower Frances Haugen.

According to Mr. Zuckerberg, the metaverse will reach a billion individuals within the next decade. He claims that the metaverse will be a place where people can communicate, collaborate, and create products and content in what he thinks will be a new ecosystem that will provide “millions” of jobs for creators. The announcement comes as Facebook faces an existential crisis. Following the revelations in the Facebook Papers, it is under increased legislative and regulatory scrutiny in many parts of the world.

Mr. Zuckerberg explained the rebranding by saying that the name “Facebook” no longer encompasses “everything we do.” This now includes Instagram, Messenger, its Quest VR headset, its Horizon VR platform, and more, in addition to its flagship social network. “Today we are seen as a social media company,” Mr. Zuckerberg said. “But in our DNA we are a company that builds technology to connect people.” The name of the Facebook social network will not change.

The composer behind the popular album “Dilecious Music”: Dileep Kumar Kandula

The India Saga Saga |

“Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife.” – Kahlil Gibran

Dileep Kumar Kandula is revisiting his penchant for music and has consistently worked for over a year to perfect his musical composition skills. His early twenties were heavily invested in entrepreneurship in which he successfully launched and established many start-ups, all of which are immensely successful businesses that are even branching out as franchises. Dileep Kumar Kandula has featured in the blockbuster Telugu movie “21”, in which a small but poignant role won the hearts of the audience and critics, despite a short on-screen presence. Along with all these businesses, he has worked with numerous Tollywood celebrities as a PR professional and has helped both upcoming artists and films get as much spotlight as possible.

Dileep Kumar Kandula never had the time to explore his deepest desire for music composition and had very little time because of his ventures, that were in the initial phase. Now, he is content with the growth of his ventures and is also managing the Doordrushti foundation, which disburses help to the deprived and needy by taking only one rupee as a donation. Dileep Kumar Kandula loves tweaking music and uses a combination of his musical knowledge and state-of-the-art computer software to churn out captivating tracks. His latest music album “Dilecious Music” is already causing ripples on the internet with thousands of shares and likes on his music tracks. There are four tracks in the album, namely Marching of Enchanted Ants, Dream of Ecstasy, Come Along The Way Dear, You are my Something, each of which presents a catchy beat and rhythm that compels the listener to groove.

Dileep Kumar Kandula says, “Creating music is very time-consuming as you have to come up with something unique and good every single time. It takes a lot of iterations, sleepless nights, and effort to come up with a new song. Initially, I found myself in despair as the output wasn’t up to the mark. But my entrepreneurial spirit didn’t allow me to quit until I perfected my creation. It began as small-sized songs and gradually transformed into an album that is now garnering appreciation from the audience. I am happy with how my first album turned out and hope that in the coming months, the work on the next one will start at full pace.

The Bombay High Court hearing will resume today for Aryan Khan

The India Saga Saga |

Highlights from Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s bail hearing: The Bombay High Court will continue to hear Aryan Khan’s bail application in the matter of an alleged drugs bust on a cruise liner on Thursday. Aryan Khan is the son of actor Shah Rukh Khan. Today, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will present its case to the court.

Senior Advocate Amit Desai argued before Justice Nitin W Sambre’s single-judge bench on Wednesday that the NCB’s arrests in the case were “illegal” because the agency failed to follow procedure mandated by section 41A of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), which requires the investigating officer to issue a notice of appearance prior to arrest. According to earlier High Court judgements and rules of the Indian Evidence Act, WhatsApp communications are not admissible in court, according to Desai.

In other news, the Pune city police have ‘nabbed’ Kiran Gosavi, the self-styled detective identified by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) as a “independent witness” in the Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise case, in connection with a cheating case filed in 2018. Soon after his selfie with Aryan Khan went viral on social media, Gosavi went missing, prompting suspicions about his behaviour during the cocaine bust.

On Tuesday, Mukul Rohatgi, a senior counsel and former Attorney General of India, ended his arguments on behalf of Aryan. Rohatgi described his detention as “arbitrary,” noting that the NCB had made no progress in locating the 23-year-old or conducting a medical evaluation to determine whether he had consumed any narcotics. Aryan has been held since October 2, when he was apprehended before an alleged rave party on a cruise liner.

Capt Amarinder Singh to float his new political outfit, to meet Amit Shah today; Sidhu hits out

The India Saga Saga |

Captain Amarinder Singh, Yesterday, officially announced decision to form his own political party. He also welcomed MHA’s decision to increase the jurisdiction of BSF in Punjab and other bordering states. Sidhu hit out at Singh by calling him ‘a loyal CM of BJP.’

Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Yesterday, while addressing a presser, announced his decision to form his own new political party. This comes after he fell out with High Command of the grand old Congress party. He was all praise for Centre’s decision to increase the Border Security Forces jurisdiction from 15 kms to 50 kms. He even said he is ready to have a seat sharing agreement with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) but said it’s not a sort of alliance. However his harshest words were reserved for the Congress party of which he was a loyal soldier of a month ago.

Yes, I will be forming a new party. The name will be announced once the Election Commission clears it, along with the symbol. My lawyers are working on it,” he said. On entering an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Amarinder said that he has not talked to the BJP or Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa’s party Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) as yet but they would want to have a seat-sharing. “We have got many people with us, we will fight all 117 seats, we will have plenty of Congressmen coming in,” he added. “Let the EC decide. We have made a request for a symbol and the name. Will let you know when we get clearance,” he further added.

Former Punjab CM will also meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi today to discuss possible solutions to the ongoing farmers’ stir against the Centre’s three farm laws. Singh on Wednesday said he will be meeting Shah along with some agricultural experts. Tomorrow we are taking some people with us, around 25-30 people. We will be meeting Amit Shah on the issues of the farmers. I can’t say what will be the solution on the three farm laws, I have already given my views to him in the previous meetings with him, he further added.

Attacking his former party colleague- Navjot Singh Sidhu, he said, “This man knows nothing. He just keeps shooting nonsense from his mouth. I’d been meeting all central ministers to discuss state issues. States can’t function unless they work with the Centre. But I don’t expect Sidhu to know anything about good governance.

Hitting back at Captain, Sidhu tweeted Captain sold the interests of Punjab to save his skin. He tweeted, “We the 78 MLAs of Congress, could never imagine, what we received an arm-twisted, ED controlled BJP loyal Chief Minister of Punjab @capt_amarinder … who sold the interests of Punjab to save his skin! You were the negative force stalling Justice & development of Punjab.”

However, the Congress leader’s gesture was welcomed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Party general secretary Tarun Chugh said the Centre has been always open to talks with farmers and has welcomed any intervention to resolve the deadlock.

Achieving Success Via Trading With Elyani Diaz

The India Saga Saga |

Coming from a poor country like Cuba, Elyani Diaz has had quite a journey, and today she is one of the most prominent traders we have. While in high school, her dad managed to move to the USA. After a few years, her father took them to the United States. In the USA, to support her family in paying the bills, she worked 2-3 jobs.

Elyani’s vision included the life led by every billionaire and multi-millionaire and for that, she was ready to put in as much effort as required. Unlike many fortunate people, she didn’t get the chance to attend college because of their financial conditions but that didn’t stop her from learning everything she wanted.

By reading several self-development books, she acquired the skills and extensive knowledge every billionaire has. At the age of 20, she started getting interested in trading. When she was asked about her interest, she said, ” While attending an event, I came across this speaker who was a hedge fund manager. He took out $100 from his pocket and asked the audience to give him $5 so that he can make it $100. He gave back $100 to people who gave him $5. The motive behind this experiment of the speaker was to explain how he turned the $5 into $100 & and that intrigued me about trading.”

For the first 2 years, Elyani wasn’t fully getting the entire process of it. Every time she deposited money, it grew before vanishing but she never gave up.

To maintain track of her daily trades, she opened an Instagram account where people used to watch her daily activities related to trading. It kept her focused and soon enough by trying options trading, she managed to become a 7-figure trader.

People are always curious about how to trade options. Hence Elyani has come up with a course where she explains how to trade options. From her experience of 5 years, people can learn to achieve financial success with trading. Unlike several other courses, people joining her course will have the advantage of getting their questions answered.

Instead of giving in to her hardships, she decided to keep fighting for her dreams. Her journey exemplifies the power of determination and we all know that in the future, she is going to achieve a lot more.

Bombay High Court adjourns hearing of Aryan Khan’s bail plea

The India Saga Saga |

In a major setback for the Khan family, Bombay High Court, yesterday adjourned the hearing of the bail plea of Aryan Khan. The court will hear the bail plea today at 2:30 in the noon.

The Bombay High Court will today resume hearing on the bail plea of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in connection with the drug bust case on a cruise ship off Mumbai coast. However, two of the 20 accused in Mumbai’s drugs-on-cruise case, Manish Rajgaria and Avin Sahu, got bail from the special court hearing the case on Tuesday. Manish Rajgaria, accused number 11 in the case, was arrested in possession of 2.4 grams of Ganja. He was released with a bond amount of ? 50,000. Avin Sahu was accused of consuming contraband twice. They were arrested as the cruise ship returned to Mumbai.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the drugs-on-cruise case, is lodged at the Arthur Road Jail with another accused Arbaaz Merchant. Whereas, Munmun Dhamecha is at Byculla women prison. The central agency that is responsible for cleaning the drug menace has strictly opposed the bail plea of Aryan Khan stating that he could be linked to a larger drug nexus and giving him bail could lead to tampering of evidence and influencing witnesses.

Representing Aryan Khan, former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohtagi argued that Aryan Khan was a “young man” who should be sent to rehab centre rather than being lodged into a jail. He also claimed that the NCB is misinterpreting the 23-year-old boy’s WhatsApp chats with actress Ananya Panday and others. Questioning the finding by the judge of a special court handling drug cases that Aryan was in “conscious possession” of contraband found with a friend, Rohatgi said the surmise was “tenuous and farfetched”. “Possession of somebody else cannot be my possession unless there is control and knowledge.” The former attorney general underlined his point about complicity by citing a Supreme Court judgment on a minister who was booked for harbouring a terrorist after a servant brought him into the house. “The SC said that cannot be the case,” he said.

Aryan along with Arbaaz Merchant, and model Munmun Dhamecha was arrested by the NCB on October 3 after a drugs raid on a cruise ship party by Narcotics Control Bureau officers in disguise. He has been in Mumbai’s Arthur Road jail since October 8 and his bail plea has been rejected twice by lower courts. Aryan’s  lawyers have repeatedly argued that no drugs were found on him but the special anti-drugs court that denied him bail last week said he knew about charas hidden in his friend Arbaaz Merchant’s shoe, and this amounted to ‘conscious possession.’

Delhi University may reopen after Diwali: Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh ?

The India Saga Saga |

Amid the continuous ongoing demand for reopening of the campus, Delhi University Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh said on Tuesday that the decision to reopen the campus will be taken after Diwali. The festival season is expected to bring an increased number of Covid-19 cases with it further deteriorating the situation of the country.

Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh said in a recent meeting of teachers and principals that  the timing of colleges should be increased by a couple of hours to accommodate the extra number of students admitted to avoid overcrowding. Seeing the protest and hunger strikes by the members of the left-affiliated All India Students’ Association (AISA) and other student union bodies, the decision of reopening the colleges has been taken into consideration.

“We will decide after Diwali. There is a fear that Covid might recur. If the situation remains fine, we will think,” Singh said.

“We can increase the timing of the existing colleges by a couple of hours, which could lead to the addition of more sections. This can help in adjusting the extra seats created and the EWS seats. This will be better than opening new colleges.

“In Delhi Technological University (where Singh was the VC earlier), we had kept the timings from 8 am to 6 pm, which was helpful. In case it is done, the staff will come in a staggered manner and the teachers who have classes in the latter half of the day can come late. This was a suggestion in case colleges want to do it,” he added.

The timings of the administrative staff will be from 9 am to 5 pm which will lead to flexibility and further avoid overcrowding during the times of pandemic.

Students also raised slogans and protested against the pro-corporate methods of the education establishment according to the report.

“An all out attack on corporatisation must take place and the students, farmers and workers will continue to lead the way,” said Jasbir Natt, leader of the farmer movement at Tikri Border addressing the students.

“Our students, the thinking minds of our country, are being converted into cheap labour for corporations. This plot of the government must be resisted,” she said.

The students had held a 48-hour hunger strike and took the decision to delay it until the assurance came from the administration on reopening of the campus.
