While kids are mostly working on their laptops in this online world, others have taken notice of their peers who do not even have the basic infrastructure to study. More than two years ago, during his visit to a nearby slum for a community service project, a Delhi school student, Aaryansh Bhartiya noticed how young kids hunch-backed on the floor without the provision of a desk in their informal school classes in a makeshift shed. He remembered how kids at his school would complain about the uncomfortable wooden chairs and desks in their classrooms and here he was looking at these children writing without a desk at all. They were so eager to learn but keeping their copies on the floor while bending down to write was evidently uncomfortable for them. In fact, after a while, they lost concentration and started to get fidgety. He knew that moment, something had to be done!

The Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) shows that the number of students attending schools in India is rising but sadly there has been very little infrastructure improvement. In most rural schools, students sit on a thin carpet, or on the dusty floor itself with their backs bent over their books. In the absence of a proper writing desk, they need to hunch over further to write. This scene is not uncommon even in urban schools and it is shocking that even in a city like Delhi, more than 38,000 students in north civic body schools do not have desks to work on. Apart from this, when kids study at home they need a proper desk to sit and study on. In most underprivileged homes this need is left unattended because even meeting the basic needs of food, shelter is sometimes not possible. Because of lack of funds and other practical problems, some schools struggle to provide desks to their children which unintentionally causes harm to a child’s posture. It might be a deterrent to their focus and retention.

When these kids get their eyes as close to the books in absence of a desk, they unknowingly damage both their eyes and their tender backs. Bad posture for prolonged hours can cause Kyphosis amongst other medically proven diseases. This condition affects the back making it look rounded and hunched over and has repercussions for life.

Eye Way, an organization that does extensive research on visual impairment, guidelines, and problems in India notes that our bodies follow our eyes. Poor visual target position forces our spine to compensate by bending. Ideal reading angles are at about 60°. Ideal writing surface angles are somewhere between 10° and 20° and ideal focus distances for reading and writing average between 15 to 25 inches from the eyes, adds the report.

Aaryansh started to work on this issue and noticed that although there were options available where bags were being designed to replace desks, the cost of the product was still very high. This cost to be borne without sponsorship, was difficult to be borne, especially by rural children who could barely manage to have two square meals a day. He thought that something had to be worked out at a lower cost which did not need sponsorship and could be afforded even by the student himself. And so, his initiative, ‘Meri Mez, meri saathi’ was born.

He worked on many options but either the cost or durability of the product did not work out. Finally, he zeroed down on a lap table made of environmentally friendly Eva foam instead of going in for a full desk (the cost of which was proving to be a deterrent for cash crunched departments and schools).

Through a span of more than two years, which started before the pandemic, Aaryansh has himself made and distributed more than 1400 of these transportable tables in rural teaching spaces where desks have not been provided, informal teaching spaces like under flyovers, over bridge crossings where permanent locating desks is not possible and slums. He has also explored options of getting these across to tribal areas, and hilly terrains where placing tables might be logistically next to impossible. Beijing said it hoped “relevant countries” would not make “wanton speculation over normal legislation” a day after India raised grave worries about a new land border law to be passed by China. India said on Wednesday that the new Chinese land border law, which will take effect on January 1, should not be used to legitimise Beijing’s activities along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), and raised “alarm” about it.

The law, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), should not be used as a “pretext” to formalise any of the Chinese military’s recent acts, including deploying thousands of troops in forward regions and committing serial violations in violation of previous border accords. The MEA said China’s “unilateral decision to bring about legislation which can have implications on our existing bilateral arrangements is of concern to us.”

The border law assigns different tasks to the Chinese military and local governments in border areas, including drills for the military and increased border development projects for local governments. Construction of civilian settlements known as frontier villages in contested areas along the India-Bhutan border is one of these projects.

Responding to India’s concerns, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Thursday it “hopes relevant countries will abide by norms of international relations and refrain from wanton speculations on China’s normal domestic legislation.”

Its spokesperson Wang Wenbin stated, “The National Land Boundary Law was adopted at the 31st Session of the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth National People’s Congress of China on October 23. On the same day, President Xi Jinping signed Order No. 99 of the President of the People’s Republic of China and issued the document, which is proclaimed to be enforced from January 1, 2022. This law consists of seven chapters and 62 articles. It stipulates clearly the leadership system and division of duties among different departments as well as between military and civilian authorities. It also offers clear provisions regarding delineation and demarcation of national land boundaries, defense and management of national land boundaries and borders, and international cooperation in national land boundary affairs.”

He stressed that the “main purpose for formulating and promulgating this law is to further coordinate, regulate and strengthen boundary management and advance international cooperation in relevant fields.” Mr. Wang added, “It will not affect China’s compliance with existing treaties related to national land boundary affairs China has already signed or change China’s current mode of boundary management and cooperation with countries sharing a land boundary with it. Nor will it alter China’s position and proposition on relevant boundary issues.”

The MEA stated on Wednesday that “unilateral moves” would have “no bearing” on past agreements struck by the two parties. Many of these accords, however, are in jeopardy as a result of China’s military operations along the LAC last year, with the problem in eastern Ladakh still unresolved after multiple rounds of discussions.

Lions are the finest and rarest creation of Mother Nature. It is said that the lion’s footfall results in the growth of that place. In Indian history and mythology, the lion is given a special place. It symbolizes strength, courage, and leadership, and thus it is also said to be the Vahana (vehicle) of Goddess of power, Maa Durga. In Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna has termed himself as Mrigraj. At the same time, the throne of King is called SINHANSAN, and the National Emblem of India, the Ashok Stambh, is also a pillar with four Asiatic Lions. Thus, Mr. Nathwani has been working for the protection of such a rare and precious species for the past 35 years.

The wildlife conservation enthusiast and Rajya Sabha members’ journey began when there were no transportation facilities available in the Gir region. His passion for lions attracted him so much that he used to travel 215 km from his native Jamkhambhaliya to Gir forest. Since then, he has been taking up various issues to protect the LIONS of the GIR forest with the help of forest officials, trackers, maldharis, and the people of the area. He started his mission 35 years ago without any assistance, and he persistently persuaded himself and the locals to work towards the betterment of the Gir forest and its pride “LIONs”.

His concern over the fatal deaths of the Lion due to train and vehicle accidents, falling in open well enlightened him for working towards the betterment of the royal lion-king. He, along with Reliance Group of Industries, covered thousands of open wells with grills on all four sides preventing accidents during the nighttime. In addition, they are soon opening a new lion hospital with state-of-the-art infrastructure and a well-qualified team of doctors for protecting the lion family. He praised the Gujarat government and Prime Minister of India for their continuous efforts and support for Gir forest and its Pride- The Lions!

Extending his knowledge to others, he educated the locals to ensure the ecosystem between the lions and humankind is maintained. He believes that the Asiatic lions are royal in nature and are friendlier with humankind compared to the African lions who tend to attack humans more and that the locals, Maldhari, and tracker play a pivotal role in managing and expanding the Gir forest and the wellbeing of the lions.

As lions are now extending their area and have now become part of the 7 districts of Gujarat, he suggests that lions should be given more space to grow and natural food to survive, for which more efforts need to be made.

After playing a successful innings of assistant director in four films in Bollywood, Hollywood and South Indian films, Rahul attracted the attention of film critics in 2020 with his directorial film 1840 Hyderabad,Nazarbandh 2021 .he made his directorial debut in Bollywood as a director with the Hindi horror film 1840 Hyderabad In which he directed big actors like Gurleen Chopra, Karan Singh Chhabra, Mukesh Rishi and gave Bollywood successful film.

At the age of just 23, Rahul raised the flag of his ability in Bollywood.

Rahul was born on 7 November 1997 in Ara Bihar, his father’s name is Ayodhya Singh, his early education was initiated from Maharaja College Ara, later Rahul took admission in GB Pant Institute of Technology to do engineering.

Now Rahul as a film director is going to announce a big Bollywood film with a big star cast very soon which will be in front of the audience very soon.

Rahul gave the same message to the youth of the country that if you have the desire to do something, you know how to struggle, you have the desire to do something different, then yes, you can also become a filmmaker, keep struggling, you will get a place one day.

Started his career as a corporate guy, Indi’s fitness icon Tarun Gill’s journey is not less than a roller-coaster ride. After serving good ten to twelve year in the corporate field, Gill realized this is not something he wanted to do. Therefore, in order to follow his dream, Tarun left his very comfortable job and started working towards his passion.

Tarun is going to participate in India’s biggest bodybuilding competition ‘Sheru Classic’ in just a few months and it seems Gill is all set to win the competition as he has already shed kilos of weight and his body is completely transformed and ready for the competition. Helping Tarun with his transformation is a Professional bodybuilder and coach Noor khan. Tarun says “It’s been more than 112 days since I have started this body transformation challenge. when I started off, I was about 111 kilos and now I’m being about close to 96 kilos. The weight loss is consistent but at the same time you need to pack on a lot of muscle mass so this is what the challenge is about. This is about aesthetics. How you look and how you present your body. How much muscle you put on your frame. This is not about who lost the maximum amount of weight. Its about how you look on the stage. My ultimate goal is to be the best version of myself and when people decide to retire in their thirties, I decided to become proof and that’s my goal to be an inspiration first for myself and then for the entire country that you can change your body at any level.”

Further Tarun reveals “Every day on youtube so here’s a video going out from me every day which is getting about two to three lack views per video telling people how my body is changing, my training. Everything is transparent for people to see. This is a challenge that I have taken on myself and Sheru classic is like the world cup of bodybuilding where the best of international athletes compete for one title which is a professional card that allows any athlete across the globe to compete at an international level. It’s a challenge, it’s like the world cup of bodybuilding. “

Vitamin D works as an important therapeutic option in the treatment of psoriasis. This disease is known for causing red, itchy scaly patches, most commonly on the knees, elbows, trunk and scalp. Making everyday life difficult for patients, this skin condition leads to social isolation and even increases the risk of depression.

Having inflammation as its main cause, the disease is considered incurable. Inflammation is caused by external factors such as bacteria, virus, and fungi and serves to fight infection. 

“As per industry sources, Psoriasis affects over 2.6 crore people in India and often leads to social discrimination due to its physical manifestations,” says Dr Renu Mathani, DM, FNMN, (USA) Founder of Autoimmunity Treatment.

World Psoriasis Day is celebrated every year on October 29. With this day people are made aware about the disease and improve the access to treatment.  This time #NotAlone has been selected as a global theme.

There is a significant association between low vitamin D status and psoriasis and it has been observed in the recent study. With proliferation and maturation of keratinocytes, vitamin D has become an important local therapeutic option in the treatment of psoriasis.

“On this World Psoriasis Day let us look at root cause correction therapies. Megadose vitamin D therapy is the need of the hour which works as defence against autoimmunity.” 

A megadose is considered when the administration of doses is higher than 100,000 IU of vitamin D.
