He has come forward to share a few tips on bird photography for all those aspiring wildlife photographers and says that understanding the subject first is the primary tip, where he explains that it is essential to understand the subject’s temperament. Secondly, he advises photographers not to shoot them in a continuous mode, which most photographers do, thinking they might just capture the right moments. However, Dr Arpit Bansal says that wildlife photography is much beyond the subject and includes the story that is being told, the lighting that adds emotions, the backgrounds that add aesthetics, and so much more. To capture a picture infused with all these elements, photographers must understand the scene first and then press the shutter.

Adding further, the ace photographer, who is also a doctor and Director of Multispecialty 200 bedded Hospital in Allahabad, apart from being a Kundalini Reiki Master and Advanced Yoga practitioner, highlights how important it is to approach the subject with patience. The speed with which photographers approach them and whether they enter their circle of comfort, all these things define whether they would get the right shots. Besides this, Dr Arpit Bansal also advises photographers to not follow what the industry has done thus far in capturing wildlife with a typical composition style, instead think beyond the usual and break stereotypes to pull more attention from people and make the pictures more appealing.

On asking why only birds, the doctor cum wildlife photographer says they are the most unpredictable subjects and are meant for photographers who love a challenge. He confesses how as a kid, he felt a deep attachment towards mother nature and natural wonders. His love and affection for birds were born during his post-graduation days (in surgery) at Nagpur in 2010. He has so far photographed around 900 species out of the 1,349 species of birds found in India and intends to click all of them and even around 10,000 bird species of the world.

Sr Arpit Bansal also highlights that apart from a robust gear to capture these birds and other wildlife, photographers most importantly must capture a picture for the passion of it and for the love they feel for wildlife as that is how they would be able to create their unique niche in the wildlife photography world.

Former Prime Minister and senior Congress leader Dr. Manmohan Singh, on Wednesday evening, was admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi after he complained of fever and weakness. As per the team of doctors, his condition is stable now.

Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India, on Wednesday evening, was admitted to the All India Institue of Medical Science (AIIMS) after he complained of fever and weakness. He is currently admitted to a private ward of the cardio-neuro centre of AIIMS and is under the care of a team of cardiologists led by Dr Nistish Naik. As per hospital officials, his condition is stable as of now.

The Congress leader had been complaining of fever since Tuesday and was admitted to AIIMS for evaluation of fever. This is not the first time the 89-year-old Congress leader was admitted to the hospital, earlier, last year, he was admitted to AIIMS as he complained of uneasiness. This year too, Singh was admitted to the All India Institue of Medical Science after he was tested positive for the Coronavirus.

As soon as the news of Singh being admitted to the hospital broke out, people and politicians across the party line wished for his speedy recovery. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this morning, took to his Twitter account and wrote “I pray for the good health and speedy recovery of Dr Manmohan Singh Ji.” Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also tweeted wishing Singh a speedy recovery. Congress party’s official Twitter handle also tweeted a recovery message for Dr Singh. However, what raised the eyebrows was that there wasn’t any single tweet from both Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on the former Prime Minister’s health. 

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, on Thursday morning, visited the All India Institue of Medical Science (AIIMS) to enquire about Singh’s health.

On Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi took to Twitter to condemn the Centre’s decision to expand the Border Security Force’s jurisdiction to a 50-kilometer belt along the international border in Punjab, West Bengal, and Assam. Previously, the BSF’s jurisdiction was a 15-kilometer belt along the border.

BSF officers have the same arrest, search, and seizure powers as police officers in the areas under their jurisdiction. Punjab Chief Minister Channi called the central government’s decision “a direct attack on federalism” and urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to reverse it.

The Ministry of Home Affairs stated in its notice, “The amendment, which took effect on October 11, 2021, establishes uniformity in defining the area within which the Border Security Force can operate in accordance with its charter of duties and in carrying out its role and task of border guarding in its areas of deployment. This will also improve operational effectiveness in combating transnational crime.”

The area under BSF jurisdiction in Gujarat has been reduced from an 80-kilometer belt to a 50-kilometer belt. In Rajasthan, the distance has remained constant at 50 kilometres. As previously stated, no limit has been prescribed in Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, Manipur, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Section 139 of the Border Security Force Act of 1968, which gives the Centre the authority to notify the force’s jurisdiction, requires that any such order be laid before each House of Parliament. These orders can be modified or revoked by the Houses.
