He has progressed to a desirable place in his profession in just five years. He, on the other hand, does not want to be stranded there. He aspires to be better and draws inspiration from other well-known travel blogs.

Joe Biden insists on a two-state solution, promise to rebuild Gaza

The India Saga Saga |

President Joe Biden said on Friday that organizing efforts to restore Gaza is the “only response” to the conflict and that establishing a Palestinian state alongside Israel is the “only solution.”

Joe Biden also said that he had ordered Israelis to end the “inter-communal war” in Jerusalem, a flashpoint area.

“There is no shift in my commitment, commitment to the security of Israel,” he said, adding that “there will be no peace” until the region “unequivocally” recognizes Israel’s presence.

The concept of a two-state solution, with an independent Palestinian state coexisting with Israel and Jerusalem as their joint capital, has been at the heart of decades of international diplomacy aimed at resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Donald Trump’s administration has been chastised for being overtly pro-Israel and dismissing Palestinians.

Jared Kushner, Trump’s strategist, and son-in-law devised a Mideast peace proposal that was billed as a two-state solution. However, the blueprint called for a Palestinian state with minimal autonomy and Israel to retain security control over it.

Palestinian leaders have flatly rejected the proposal. On Friday, Biden insisted on a full-fledged two-state solution.

“There is no shift in my commitment to the security of Israel, period, no shift, not at all,” he said. “But I tell you what there is a shift in. The shift is that we still need a two-state solution. It is the only answer, the only answer, “according to Biden.

800k migrant workers left Delhi after lockdown announced

The India Saga Saga |

Delhi Government states that a minimum 800,000 migrant workers have traveled from Delhi to their home states in the first four weeks of the lockdown. Buses and other arrangements were made for laborers to avoid a repeat of last year’s crisis.

Between April 19 and May 14, when the lockdown was implemented to prevent a devastating fourth wave of infections. 807,032 passengers boarded buses to travel to other states from three interstate bus terminals (ISBTs) in Delhi. In addition to the regular buses that run from the terminals, the governments of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand organized these buses specifically for migrant workers.

A report by the state transport department said, “The timely coordination with transport authorities of neighboring states especially Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand by the Delhi government has helped about eight lakh migrant workers reach their destination without any difficulty. There was no complaint of overcharging as the interstate buses were owned and operated by the respective state governments.”

On April 19, a weekend curfew in Delhi was extended to a six-day lockdown. At the time, the city was averaging 20,000 cases a day, almost every third person screened was positive, and hospitals were overburdened with patients and running low on oxygen and critical medications. The lockout has been extended four times since then, despite a drop in regular infections and positivity rates.

When the lockdown was announced, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urged migrant workers not to leave the region, assuring them that the government would look after them. Migrants began congregating at the three ISBTs at Kashmere Gate, Sarai Kale Khan, and Anand Vihar soon after.

However, unlike last year, when a nationwide lockdown on March 25 prompted tens of thousands of panicked employees to throng ISBTs. Wait for 12-16 hours for a bus or walk hundreds of kilometers back home, Delhi government officials had negotiated bus arrangements with other state governments, especially Uttar Pradesh, ahead of time.

Effects of the same:

To be sure, since the lockout is still in place, there are no current figures as to how many migrants have returned to the Capital.

During the first week of the lockdown, almost half of the passengers (379,604) quit. According to the survey, the number of passengers dropped to 212,448 in the second week, 122,490 in the third week, and 92,490 in the fourth week. It also reported that the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and cluster buses made it possible for 827,905 passengers to be dropped off at ISBTs within the city. During the ongoing lockdown, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority did allow citizens to travel via ISBT, airports, and railway stations. In addition, the state-organized 500 cluster buses to transport employees from Delhi to remote locations in neighboring states.

The buses had no restrictions on who could board, but officials said the high number of outbound trips in the first week, combined with the lockdown, which prevented non-emergency travel, meant that migrants made up the vast majority of those who traveled.

A transport department official said, “The report states the number of passengers who boarded interstate buses from Delhi including the additional buses deployed by various states. The weekly break-up of the same shows that the demand for such transport services was highest during the first week, indicating it is mostly migrant workers and their families who were using these buses to reach their villages.”

In such situation, CRY an NGO is trying its best to keep such children healthy and safe. However, this is a massive task and to achieve this goal CRY needs support of individuals and institutions. The Rug Republic (TRR) came forward to do its bit. Owned by noted business leader and mountaineer Aditya Gupta, TRR has started an initiative where it will gift people the coffee table book penned by Aditya to the one donating Rs 4000 & above to CRY to extend support to the NGO to meet its requirements to ensure care, protection and education to children amidst these trying times.

At the age of 50, Aditya Gupta had reached the summit on 22nd May 2019. He wanted to share what he learnt and found his answer in the book titled, ‘7 Lessons from Everest – Expedition Learnings from Life and Business’. He spent several months conceptualizing and writing the book that shares the virtues of preparation, passion, perseverance, mental toughness, and resilience. The coffee table book is a photo essay that also narrates the experiences of the IIT alumnus as an explorer, adventurer, and photographer.

With 350 stunning images spread over 250 pages, the book makes for a captivating read. But more than just the good time it promises to offer to the reader, the book is also encouraging people to contribute to a worthy cause and a burning need of the hour. Every time someone donates Rs. 4000 or more to CRY, The Rug Republic will send the person the coffee table book as a gesture of appreciation. The corporate donors who will order in bulk will get the books at a lesser amount instead of a pro-rata basis. The bulk order will help firms make a significant contribution to CRY as their CSR activity and they will also get plenty of books that they can give their associates and clients as an uplifting present in these times.

The book aims to raise one crore rupees (approx $150K) for Covid-19 relief through CRY. Every purchase made of ‘7 Lessons from Everest’ directly gets donated to CRY for providing much-needed care and protection for children against the deadly second wave of Covid-19. Donors can directly transfer the money to CRY using the links available on 7lessonsfromeverest.com.

Talking about the initiative, Aditya Gupta, said, “At TRR, we always strive to do what we can to help others. This campaign combines two joys – one of giving and the other of learning through the master tutor like Mt. Everest itself. Climbing Everest is a transformational experience- not only for those who climb but also for those who can share the journey vicariously. Those who come forward to contribute to help the underprivileged children will take home not just their good wishes, but also a world-class coffee table book that can inspire them to overcome life’s various challenges. We want to spread the word so that more people can join us to help CRY.”

Acknowledging the initiative being taken by The Rug Republic, Regional Director of CRY, Soha Moitra said “Pandemic has hit each one of us in many ways but what raises CRY’s concern is its profound effect on the wellbeing of children across all ages and socio-economic backgrounds. For children coming from underserved communities the impact of this pandemic will be lifelong. Amidst, these unprecedented times such noble initiative by The Rug Republic is crucial and indeed timelys. The support extended by TRR will benefit many children of our project areas to ensure better health, education and protection to the children. We believe this gesture of TRR will inspire many to contribute in bringing positive changes in the lives of our children in these trying times”.

Shubham Bishnoi gets to be famously known as TechyFrank

The India Saga Saga |

Here is a young man who has not just achieved a lot in the technical and social media world but has also gained great knowledge about current trends. We have seen a lot of teenagers creating YouTube videos, laying out channels showing vlogs about travel, writing affiliate marketing blogs, creating art videos, flaunting new looks, etc. But here is one such teenager –  Shubham Bishnoi who calls himself as TechyFrank. True to the name he is frank about every technology that he speaks about. He has a passion to reveal every bit of how a new technology works. Also, he is frank about his life which combines with his work. So the name TechyFrank is apt to all the work he uploads on social media. Here is a much detailed description of this multitalented guy who along with pursuing electrical engineering is doing a lot more for the technical world.

Shubham Bishnoi has achieved good success on social media through his tech videos. In 2016, at the age of 12, he started a youtube channel like any other teenager but this was one with a difference. It was all about technology. At such a young age he was able to explain every technical detail to the viewers. However, as a schoolboy, he had responsibilities towards his regular studies and had to take a break. This passion brought him back to the technical world within a span of just 2 years. In 2018, he started TechyFrank. Initially, TechyFrank was about creative art and leaks about un launched gadgets. A leakster is always prone to pressure by the makers. So was Shubham Bishnoi who was depressed when various brands pressurized him to back off from leaking the details of their product and so he had to take down many posts on social media handles. The depression however made him strong and the break was much needed for this young tech enthusiast.

After such an episode of taking down posts, a friend introduced him to Bitcoin. Being tech-savvy, it took him just 5 days to research over all the points he had accumulated in the 5 hours of discussion about it with his friend. When he had gained good profits in a short term initially, he has continued the journey and is still on it. The cryptocurrency which is also a new thing in the global market is just one part of his findings.  However, the focus is mainly on technology. Name a reputed brand of smartphone which is expected in the market newly and Shubham has a detailed video on his social media handles. He caters to giving information that is unseen and not available anywhere on the internet. That is how capable he is of research on technology. Also, he has the ability to explain any complicated technology in a manner that can be understood by a small kid.

A product or a gadget becomes attractive not just by how it looks or by its specifications. A buyer is better impressed by what goes into the making of one such gadget. Shubham Bishnoi strongly believes in this and hence puts all the effort to bring out minute details about every gadget that he talks about in his videos. A video is more attractive than a write-up or a blog through both equally cater to attracting a buyer. His videos are simple and easy to understand. Overall TechFranky makes buying gadgets easier! One can also see updated posts about the latest gadgets, technical updates, etc on TechyFrank’s social media pages.

To follow the trends and keep up with website rankings, this digital creator also works on fashion, travel, and lifestyle along with being an Amazon influencer. He reviews products frankly which has helped many buyers as well as sellers. TechyFrank today has about 45k followers.  We wish him great success ahead.
