India needs Dharma over oxygen says, Kangana Ranaut

The India Saga Saga |

Following her permanent suspension from Twitter earlier this week, Kangana Ranaut is following through on her promise to use other outlets to express her opinions. Along with her niece, Rangoli Chandel, the actor has been posting on Instagram on a regular basis.

“India does not need more oxygen. It needs dharma fear of God. Shame on these vultures!!!” she wrote.

She added in another post, “Itne chor hain iss desh mein. Oxygen ki nahi thode imaan ki zaroorat hai insaniyat ko (This country has so many thieves. We don’t need oxygen, humanity needs honesty).” Responding to a tweet and a news article alleging that Delhi is experiencing Oxygen hoarding and mismanagement.

Kangana Ranaut was recently permanently suspended from Twitter for violating the platform’s policies, including the ‘Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour’.

She had been found guilty of repeated violations, according to a Twitter spokesperson. Her account was put under some restrictions earlier this year after she tweeted about the creators of the streaming series Tandav.

“Twitter has only proved my point they are Americans and by birth, a white person feels entitled to enslave a brown person, they want to tell you what to think, speak or do. Fortunately, I have many platforms I can use to raise my voice including my own art in the form of cinema but my heart goes out to the people of this nation who have been tortured, enslaved and censored for thousands of years and still there is no end to the suffering, “ said Kanga after her Twitter account got banned.

Centre – State Relationship‘ Thorn on the way’ or ‘The Treasure Key’ for Mr. Stalin ?

The India Saga Saga |

As Mr. Stalin swears in as  the new CM of TN, his approach on management of Centre-State relationship will be keenly watched.

Governance & Politics are 2 different sides of Federal Polity

Mr. Stalin, the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu may just focus on Governance and leave Politics (on Centre/ state relationship) to others in his party .  With such a carve-out, he could refrain from any critical comment on the Union Government. Announcing in advance that he would meet the Honorable PM, HM and the FM with or without agenda every month, will help avoid criticism that either he is ‘bending over backwards’ or being “unnecessarily abrasive”.  These are mere optics but then politics is all about optics.

Relying upon approach documents like Finance commission recommendations   & Niti Aayog helps reduce the rhetoric.

S.DilliRaj – Founder – RajGuru Advisors observes that “TN is not Delhi or WB.   DMK & BJP were in direct confrontation in a mere 6 % of the assembly constituencies only . Mr. Stalin is known for his matured approach as evidenced in the issue of memorial site for Dr. Kalaignar. Instead of taking to streets he sent Mr. Wilson, Sr. Advocate to the High Court. The Honorable PM has genuine liking for Dr. Kalaingnar with whom he has so much in common – Oratory / Indomitable fighting spirit   /Rising from State politics to National politics and never losing an election personally. As the Sun rises, Leaves will wither but Lotus can bloom”

Some brands win big, yet others fail: Quality thought leadership content can be the differentiator

The India Saga Saga |

Rather than a roll of the dice, thought leadership content needs to be thought of as a calculated investment with risks and rewards. Done well, thought leadership content is influential. It provides clarity, showcases expertise, probes challenging questions, and unlocks opportunities. After consuming thought leadership content, 47% of C-level executives voluntarily shared their contact information, a 2019 B2B Edelman and LinkedIn study revealed. That’s a huge return on investment!

Done poorly, however, thought leadership content is just fluff. Empty, salesy, and at best, pursuing a unique point of view. Only 18% of decision makers in the same study encountered thought leadership content that was excellent or impactful. This is where the risk lies. A brand’s reputation comes under the scanner every time its marketing team hits publish.

Here are important insights from content marketing agency Edisol on understanding thought leadership content in the right light.

High-quality thought leadership can influence the influencers “The C-suite isn’t the regular audience and conventional modes of marketing won’t cut the mustard,” says Nirati Agarwal, Head – Content and founder of Edisol. “Because thought leadership reveals an organisation’s mettle and makes trust tangible, it holds the key to unlocking this audience. Brands must offer C-execs something they don’t know and back it with reliable data. If their content can help decision-makers make that next decision, the brand will be in business.”

The perspectives of decision-makers – managers, directors, VPs, CXOs, owners, and partners – on thought leadership are extremely revealing. Here are some highlights from the Edelman and LinkedIn 2020 study :

Decision-makers Agree that thought leadership
59% Is a reliable tool for assessing a company’s competence
41% Can lead them to pay a premium to work with the company
71% Is a top way to assess the calibre of the organisation’s thinking

In terms of ROI, thought leadership scores well on all fronts.

Purchase decision Effectiveness of thought leadership
Invited a new business to bid on a project 39%
Awarded business to the company 49%
Increased business with the company 52%
Purchased new products/ services 51%

Thought leadership isn’t a guaranteed ladder to success Think of thought leadership as an investment: If it doesn’t suit the market, there’s no avoiding huge losses.

1. 38% of decision-makers agreed that poor-quality thought leadership content may lead to diminished respect and admiration for a company, as per the 2020 study. This figure was 46% in 2019.

2. 25% decided not to award business to an organisation because of low-quality thought leadership, as per the 2020 study. And this figure was 29% in 2019.

These statistics prove that thought leadership cannot be a matter of trial and error. It has lasting consequences on trust and reputation, and eventually brand growth.

Strategies that boost thought leadership efforts High-quality thought leadership is rare but rewarding. How do brands create content that not just holds the ground but makes it past the lines of defence and onto the tables of decision-makers? Here are some best practices recommended by Edisol.

  1. Publish wholesome content: Thought leadership content needs gravity if it is to draw in results. Thought leaders should challenge the way readers think, publish data to back up their position, and have strong opinions.
  2. Keep the formats absorbing: Thought leadership is a type of content that draws from experience and expertise and seeks to influence audiences with insights and solutions. It isn’t confined to a format. Blogs, magazine-style reports, video, and podcasts—all can do the trick based on where the audience is.
  3. Pay attention to emotional intelligence: In this pandemic-driven era, integrating empathy into content is crucial as audiences want content that resonates with their experiences. While thought leadership should provide insights or answer questions, it must also explore emotional pathways towards brand loyalty and advocacy.

“Thought leadership is largely an untapped content asset,” explains Jocy Fernandez, Head – Creative, Edisol.“ Most brand leaders have hard-earned industry secrets, counter-cultural opinions, fresh perspectives, niche expertise, and an insightful vision. What they often lack is the wherewithal to convert their resources into assets that can be published.” Edisol is changing the game for leaders seeking thought leadership that blends research and intellectual rigor with storytelling and strategies for effective distribution and engagement.

With high-quality thought leadership content, it is possible to change perspectives and contribute to the knowledge quotient of your audience, while gaining on multiple fronts that affect the bottom line.

Social Entrepreneur, Anusha Naidu sets the sky soaring with her NGO Anokhein Foundation

The India Saga Saga |

‘How wonderful it is that nobody need not wait a single moment before starting to improve the world’. The aforementioned quote by the young social reformer Anne Frank speaks volumes of the initiative any individual can take to bring a change without caring about their age, gender, background or any other factor. Walking on similar lines is the journey of Anusha Naidu .

At the nascent age of 21, Anusha Naidu  is not only the founder of one-of-a-kind foundation but is also a fearless woman herself who has pushed all her boundaries along with her single mother to never give up to be the best versions of themselves.

Currently pursuing an MBA in Pune, Anusha’s life has never been easy. The mother daughter duo faced unprecedented challenges. She was in the 2nd standard, when she lost her father and within a year of the burgeoning loss, she lost her elder brother too. Certainly, it is said that god only gives difficulties to those who can sustain them. All these setbacks made the duo stronger and more bold to face any tumultuous times in life.

The struggle ahead for them was to lead their entire lives with dignity. Anusha recalls that society was not always kind and that made them more strong and made her believe that the power of a woman is infinite. Her mother single handedly gave her the insights to see the world with both empathy and boldness. She gave her the required knowledge to understand when a woman should turn into Durga and when she should turn into Kali. This paved the way for her to help girls and womens as their protective shield.

Anusha Naidu  was propelled to always encourage young women to have their own voice and their own choice. Believer of the quote that ‘age is just a number’, she never wanted her age to be a barrier to start her own non-profit organisation. She took the plunge and leaped forward with her visionary NGO called Anokhein Foundation, a self funded non profit organisation to raise the awareness of women health and hygiene and their empowerment in a robust way.

Her biggest inspiration has been her dedicated mother. Seeing her being a single parent and raising a single girl child made her believe the indomitable power of being a  woman.

Always driven to empower women about sanitation and their rights, Anusha stresses on the fact that the Indian fraternity is still not prioritising women’s health and hygiene and their opinion is not deemed worthy. She feels that we are still bound in the myths and taboos of society about menstrual hygiene.

She also champions the fact that no NGO is a competition to another because she believes that the more NGO’s work towards social causes, the better it will be for the overall well-being of our country.

Her noteworthy NGO is driven by the vision of making women aware of the importance of their health and hygiene and regarding their self worth and pacing forth like a titan.

Anusha Naidu’s mission with Anokhein Foundation is to raise awareness of women’s health and hygiene, they are also focused to normalise the discussion on menstrual cycle and sanitary napkins by empowering women to have the required education about their strengths and competencies.

Raised in a town at Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, she has always been academically excellent and was amongst the toppers in high school, post which she moved to Pune for her higher studies. Having completed her graduation in BBA(IB) and pursuing an MBA from Sinhgad Business School Pune, the passionate dynamic entrepreneur has also aced over 10 Certification courses. Relentlessly striving to be a learner, Anusha proclaims that there is no limitation in gaining knowledge and wanting to be a learner.

The entrepreneur also conducts live sessions with experts and interacts with them about the required steps that can be taken towards their noble cause which she calls as a reward to herself and her dreams.

A budding leader who believes in self-empowerment and the empowerment of those around her, she has received accolades for her courage and grit with which she has led her entrepreneurial journey. She asserts that she will always be ready to learn and explore while serving the nation in different sectors. “You are never too young or old to initiate your vision, take the risk and learn from it. Always remember that there is a lot to explore and little to lose”, says Anusha Naidu.

Leading such a notable organization on one’s own does call for recurring funds but the young founder is risking it all on her own shoulders. On the question of raising any funding for her organization, the founder reiterates that Anokhein Foundation is a self funded organisation and it will always serve the society to lift the women up.

Certainly, with her foresighted and dedicated mission, Anusha Naidu is taking giant strides to empower women by setting an example of herself and is on the road towards a future where no female has to bear the brunt of social stigmatization while leading a healthy, free and dignified life.

Chinese rocket debris revolving in space to fall into earth’s orbit

The India Saga Saga |

Concerns arise as debris from the ‘out-of-control rocket that launched China’s ‘Tianhe’ module is likely to fall in international waters this weekend as the US Defense Department says “all debris can be potential threats to spaceflight safety & the space domain.” A skywatcher in Italy has spotted a huge Chinese rocket core falling uncontrolled from orbit, as the White House weighed in on the tricky international situation. Odds are the 23-ton (21 metric tons) piece of space debris will break apart high in the atmosphere and largely burn up, experts say, with any remaining pieces hitting uninhabited areas, as 70% of Earth’s surface is covered in ocean.

The non-profit, federally funded Aerospace Corp has said it expects the debris to hit the Pacific near the Equator after passing over eastern US cities. The orbit covers a swath of the planet from New Zealand to Newfoundland. The US defense department expects it to fall to Earth on Saturday though where it will hit “cannot be pinpointed until within hours of its re-entry”, the Pentagon said.

“At the imaging time, the rocket stage was at about 700 km [435 miles] from our telescope, while the sun was just a few degrees below the horizon, so the sky was incredibly bright,” Masi wrote in a description of the image. “These conditions made the imaging quite extreme, but our robotic telescope succeeded in capturing this huge debris.”

China’s space agency has yet to say whether the rocket is being controlled or will make an out-of-control descent. But the Global Times newspaper, published by the Chinese Communist Party, has claimed the rocket’s “thin-skinned” aluminum-alloy exterior will easily burn up in the atmosphere, posing an extremely remote risk to people.

Alekh Kumar Parida believes in taking risks to achieve success

The India Saga Saga |

At some point, we all have to take risks to get what we want. But some risks are tougher than one imagines them to be. In today’s competitive world, everyone wants to be the best, everyone wants to be at the top. For the same, many start working on their dreams at a very young age. Based in Odisha, Alekh Kumar Parida also made sure he stays determined to achieve big things as he had plans to become an entrepreneur at a young age.

Starting a new business isn’t a cakewalk. There are already successful ones and there are many new good entrepreneurs too. But one has to take the risk to step into this competitive and challenging world as then only, a person can understand how to function. While the dreamers are still sleeping and waiting for the best moment to take action, the taker has caught the rewards.

Risk-takers are more likely to be successful because they do not limit themselves and are willing to put in their energy when every other person is hesitant. Alekh Kumar says, “If you don’t start somewhere, you won’t know how to grow, gain success, deal with failure and be better than others.”

His mantra in life is to never give up, stay positive and trust yourself. Alekh Kumar said that one cannot sit and wait for things to happen by themselves.

“As a beginner in the world of entrepreneurship, one has to work 10 times harder than those who are already established. Patience is the key and if you are honest with your work and yourself, you will get closer to your dreams and goals,” says Alekh.

Taking a risk to achieve a goal requires courage to face the fear of uncertainty. No matter the outcome, either way, we grow through the process and become more resilient and confident. Better yet, building those skills helps in taking more risks and improves the chances of achieving future goals.

Risk takers know that success won’t fall in your lap. You have to chase and hunt for it. That is what they do when they take risks. They are shooting for the sky amidst the storm. Through that chase, they find seemingly rare opportunities that may never have been found if they had waited.

During this lockdown period, Alekh Kumar hasn’t lost hope. He knows this time will pass and life will be normal again. He thinks once everything is back to normal, everyone will be different. The demands and expectations of people might also differ. So there’s a huge opportunity for all those who want to start something new and big in the business world.
