Sneak peak into the exhilarating journey of Nikhil Moolchandani and the stellar sanitary store LifetimeBath

The India Saga Saga |

‘All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them’, a staunch believer of the aforementioned quote who was adamant to turn his vision into a glaring reality set out to give a new dimension to his family business by curating the current India’s most celebrated one of a kind sanitaryware store on instagram.

With a roaring follower base of his jaw dropping IGstore called Lifetimebath, Nikhil Moolchandani has transformed the perception of Indians on sanitaryware and is propelled to drive this streak across the globe.

Being someone who was a passionate seller from his school days in Jaipur, Nikhil used to sell maps / pens and pencils in the school simply because of his love for the art of multiplication and selling being in his genes.

Nikhil always had an entrepreneurial bent of mind and was driven to drive more sales for his family business, when his friends laughed at the idea of beginning an instagram store on sanitaryware, Nikhil became more committed to materialising his vision and today his businesses is acquiring the most traction from his massively followed instagram page.

Believer of the power of dreams, hardwork and patience, Nikhil has enabled the multiplication of revenue for his family business and is aiming to build his own luxury sanitaryware firm that will cater to clients across the globe.

” I certainly believe that the current market situation isn’t appropriate for us building material dealers. After demonetisation, people started seeing a drastic change in our industry and then GST came that shook the dealers even more due to which the demand of luxury Sanitaryware went down. But I firmly believe if someone wants to sell, he/she will find a way.

The dexterity and innovation of Nikhil is evident from the fact that he has generated leads for his business through instagram across the country with deliveries happening in all corners in India.

Other than the breathtakingly enchanting bathroom fittings and styles, the USP of Lifetime Bath is that they renovate entire washrooms, which implies that they walk with the clients through the entire procedure of  breaking the bathroom, plumbing and transforming it with the most bespoke fittings and furnishings that speak of luxury with style.

Nikhil has always stressed the importance of listening to customer needs and apprehensions patiently. What they get is a thoughtful and fulfilling washroom to begin their day with positivity and satisfaction.

Driven by the mission to brighten up the day of individuals with bathrooms that suite their energies, Nikhil Moolchandani has been hailed for his insightfulness in carving a place where one’s most enabling ideas get birth.

On being asked about his biggest advice for young entrepreneurs/new start-ups, Nikhil says,”One thing that I would like to honestly share with future entrepreneurs is to first be honest with your consumers and viewers, honesty will bring you more converting leads than anything else. Secondly, it is important to put out more content of what’s happening with you at work, just try to be patient while doing this because great things don’t happen overnight, it might take longer but if you focus more on providing value and not minding the likes or comments, you are slowly building your digital empire”

“The biggest teaching that I wish to share is that whatever you want to do in life, simply do it with your own money. If you earn be responsible and sensible, save first, spend later. This doesn’t imply that you shouldn’t enjoy or party or buy your favourite bag but it means that one must do everything with their own money and not with your parents hard earned cash”, adds Nikhil Moolchandani.

In a nutshell, Nikhil is exemplary of forseeing dreams that he can materialize with strong determination, willpower and leaning to make a difference in the masses.

France to provide A330 mid-air refueller to IAF on lease for training

The India Saga Saga |

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has approached the French government to lease one Airbus A330 multi-role tanker transport aircraft for training purposes as a prelude to leasing five more mid-air refuellers to boost its multi-role fighters’ combat capability and range.

The leasing would be done on a government-to-government basis, with the IAF already issuing a request for information (RFI) for a single aircraft and the additional five refuellers on lease using a request for proposals route. During Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria’s visit to France last week, the subject was addressed.

IAF official said, “With IAF looking towards A330 refuellers for its future, it is only natural that its pilots are trained in advance to handle the aircraft as mid-air refuelling is a precision process with zero margin of error and huge stakes.”

While the IAF has six IL-78 M mid-air refuellers of Russian origin, the A330 refuellers outperform the current aircraft in terms of flexibility, as the latter can accommodate not only fuel but also troops and arm payload on a roll-on-roll-off basis. There have been restrictions on load carrying and taking off with payload from high mountain bases such as Leh and Thoise in the case of the IL-78 M.

The French and UAE air forces have been using A330 refuellers to move 17 Rafale omni-role fighters from Merignac-Bordeaux to India since July 2020.Another batch of seven fighters is expected to arrive in India in May, with the first batch being stationed at the new Hashimara air base in West Bengal

The A330 can not only fly with a full load in the thin atmosphere of Ladakh and beyond, but it can also deliver fuel to Indian fighters at Himalayan heights, with a fighting range of 1800 km and a fuel capacity of 50 tonnes for four hours. The A330 has a 14,800-kilometer ferry range.

The IAF requires compatible mdi-air refuellers to fight any move from the north, with top-of-the-line Rafale aircraft in its inventory. The IAF must be ready because the Chinese army is hesitant to restore the status quo in Eastern Ladakh’s Gogra-H`ot Springs district, while the PLA beefs up all along the Line of Actual Control until Arunachal Pradesh.

Mental health is not a luxury, but a necessity that determines how well you lead your life and for how long

The India Saga Saga |

The keener we look around us, the more we can find out that our world is being engulfed by negativity. In today’s world, helping a person attracts suspicion, ignoring doesn’t. Mental health programmes are a field of healthcare that is very much underappreciated and is often ignored in terms of significance. With the government continually slashing financial resources for agencies and people who are trying to preach the importance of mental health due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become even more important now to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and the approaches that could help in supporting these services. The growth and expansion of self-help and mental health doctors has already begun to show the effect that they could have on personal development and the treatment given in therapy and counselling. But, there is still a long way to go. The availability of mental-healthcare providers is very low in the world even though there are a few well-known psychologists in the world doing their best to raise awareness about the importance of mental health. Nabhit Kapur, a globally recognised ambassador for mental health tops this list of psychologists.

Nabhit Kapur is a renowned psychologist who specialized in studies related to different mental states, perceptual, behavioural, emotional, and social processes and actions through research and experimentation. He is also a Psycho-Preneur, an author, a TEDx speaker, and an internationally recognized ambassador for mental health and peace. He was awarded numerous recognitions including the “Order of Kentucky colonel” and “Eminent peace ambassador”, by The International Association of World Peace Advocates. His career path hasn’t been simple. He received an honors degree in applied psychology from Amity University and a postgraduate degree in counselling and psychotherapy from IBMS, Chittoor. He is also specialised in Handwriting analysis & Therapy. Despite facing many setbacks in his life, he has been able to set into motion some impactful improvements in many regions of the world like the African continent through his perseverance and dedication.

In 2015, he started working with many NGOs, hospitals and schools to gain experience and training which eventually led to the establishment of “PeacfulMind Foundation” (PMF), a global organization registered with the United Nations (U.N.) Global Compact. The foundation provides a range of educational programmes and supports community service for mental health. Their outreach has helped many people throughout the world. In the last three years, Kapur has taught over tens of thousands of children on how to balance and maintain their mental health. He has accomplished ground-breaking progress in Africa over the last couple of years through his engagement on mental health issues aimed at reducing societal taboos and fostering mental health in the community. He was featured in various online news panels and print magazines for his esteemed work and reputation like Cooperate Investment Times, Exelon magazine, Forbes, Statesman, Daily Search, Top 100 Magazine, The Week, Las Republicas etc. He is also a member of Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland and West-African public health institute. “My goal has always been and will be to make people prioritize their mental health as a critical facet of life”, remarked Nabhit Kapur.

Turning challenges into opportunities: Ssamridh S Aggarwal

The India Saga Saga |

It was not easy for Ssamridh S Aggarwal to navigate through choices and fixate on his career path, like any other young millennial; he was full of energy, passion and the will to try his hand at every opportunity that came his way. But, his bustling life took a turn when he got the responsibility of managing an event at his college. It was in this process that he realized his true call was events. His rollercoaster of a journey as an event manager started from there and today he is the COO of Livepixel Events International one of the country’s finest event management companies.

When asked about his venture Livepixel events international, Ssamridh said, “Live Pixel Technologies which happens to be our parent company are pioneers in the field of Entertainment technology they are known for colorization of Bollywood milestones, including ‘Mughal E Azam’ which happens to be India’s first movie to be colorized.” After making a mark for themselves in various segments of Entertainment technology, Live Pixel Technologies decided to venture into the Event Industry. “It happened to be a perfect opportunity for us to come together and I was given the job to form LivePixel Events International. Since its inception in 2019 Livepixel events International has catered to various MNCs and PSUs and has also successfully conceptualized and executed it’s IPs like Megaa Model.” said Ssamridh.

Having stepped into the professional industry at an age as young as Ssamridh did, it can get challenging and intimidating at times. Dealing with professionals that are senior in terms of age and work experience both, it often happens that younger players are not taken as seriously as they should be. “I remember once going to a renowned realtor for a meeting which was set by my partner and CEO of Live Pixel Technologies, Mr. Rajeev Dwivedi and I overheard the person saying that kids are now being sent in for meetings. The comment did not bother me and I just went ahead, focusing on my presentation, the client came onboard and we had a successful business alliance with them. I recently went to Ranchi for a presentation for a government project and it was a great compliment when one of the senior officers quoted that it’s really nice to see young people like you showing interest in government-related work.” Ssamridh said highlighting both sides of the coin.

When asked on how the Covid 19 situation changed the event industry, he said, “In January 2020 we had got news about Covid entering India but it did not seemed such a threat then and we assumed it to be a phase which will go away, but it started to get really troublesome when our office shut down and events stopped. It was a time when I even started questioning my decision of choosing event management over ICWA. I started thinking about the event industry not being a stable business. But then I realized it was time to think out of the box and explore other options and its then when we came up with Megaa Model which is an IP of Livepixel events international curated with the aim of providing a platform to young aspirants who dream of becoming a model. The success of Megaa model motivated us to explore more in the virtual space and it led to us curating events for various MNCs online, we even created Megaa Virtual Expo – a virtual exhibition platform which can provide people experience of a physical event but virtually. This is where I learnt that challenges can truly be changed into opportunities.” Virtual events are a feasible option wherein at a minimum expense; maximum audience can be catered to.

Ssamridh is someone who believes that life will throw us the sourest lemons and what we can do is take them and turn them into lip-smacking lemonade. On being asked about his role model, Ssamridh said, “M.S. Dhoni has always been seen handling situations in the best way possible; cool, calm and composed. Being a student of ICWA taught me a lot about management and the skills one needs to manage efficiently.” He also believes that a good leader is someone who knows how to walk along with his team. He works closely with his team of trained consultants and motivates them to present their thoughts to the table, he encourages them to get critical and analytical about every move and ensure there is a checklist of pros and cons for every decision they make as a team .because that is how he gets the best of every situation himself.

For someone like Ssamridh, who works in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines and a hectic schedule, maintaining a work-life balance can be difficult. “For an event manager, it sometimes becomes very difficult to give time to family. The initial two years are very crucial as you are trying to make a mark for yourself in the industry and once things get streamlined it works in an automated manner. But definitely, there are times when it is difficult to take out time for your family even though you are under the same roof. I remember it was a work from a home module of working while Megaa Model was going on and I was locked up in a room glued to my system and phone executing the event, but whenever I can, I take out some quality time out of my schedule for my family and friends.”
When asked about his vision for LivePixel Events International he said how he sees his dream company which he founded alone standing strong with a team of 200-250 in the coming 5 years.

When asked to share some tips for upcoming event managers, Ssamridh said, “There is no such tip but yes I can share what I believe in. Three things one should always keep in mind are first and foremost one should always listen to your parents as they are your true well-wishers and will give you the best guidance. It was at the insistence of my parents that I applied for jobs in the event industry. While working for big names I understood the meticulous mechanism that goes behind the events and learned a lot through my experience and enhanced my skill. Learning from industry mentors as an employee made me industry-ready”.

“Secondly, event management does not mean a party rather it is the hard work and sweat that goes behind making the party a memorable experience for others. I made only 250 rupees when I did my first event. I slogged myself for 3 days, was lifting boxes and sleeping under the stage. Yes, I was exhausted but that feeling was also accompanied by the feeling of happiness and satisfaction of doing my job well. And that is my dream. Going to bed satisfied with my work. The most important thing that can keep us going through difficult times like these is to believe. Believe in yourself. Believe that you can do everything and take it one day at a time”, he further added.

INS Vikrant to be inducted by aircraft carrier into Navy in 2021

The India Saga Saga |

By the end of 2021, the Indian Navy should have a 45,000-tonne indigenous INS Vikrant aircraft carrier and a 7,500-tonne Visakhapatnam class stealth guided-missile destroyer, bolstering its ability to protect and conquer the Indo-Pacific area.

Next year, the indigenous aircraft carrier and the INS Visakhapatnam will be commissioned into the Navy.

Former Western Navy commander said, “Contractual clauses come alive once the warship is handed over to Indian Navy but commissioning takes times as the vessel is to be tested by the Naval personnel for its capability,”

Although the Chinese Navy commissioned three main battleships at Sanya in the Hainan naval facility in the disputed South China Sea on Saturday, the Cochin shipyard will begin final trials of the INS Vikrant before handing it over to the Indian Navy. The trials of the INS Visakhapatnam will be completed by Mazagon Dockyards, and the stealth destroyer will be delivered close to Indian Navy Day.

INS Vikrant will be equipped with two squadrons of MiG-29K fighters and ten Kamov Ka-31 helicopters, all of which will be powered by General Electric turbines. The aircraft carrier strike force will have a range of over 15000 kilometres and will be equipped with a Barak surface-to-air missile for aerial defence. Anti-ship and land-attack are the primary attack arms of the INS Visakhapatnam. Apart from torpedoes for anti-shipping, BrahMos cruise missiles

The third aircraft carrier, also known as INS Vishal, will now be seen as a replacement for the currently operating INS Vikramaditya, as the Indian Navy has decided to give priority to nuclear-powered conventional submarines in the future sea-warfare.

The Indian Navy’s capability will be bolstered next year when the INS Arighat, the country’s second ballistic missile nuclear submarine, is delivered to the Strategic Forces Command. The vessel is currently undergoing trials and will be armed with K-4 intermediate-range ballistic missiles with a range of 3500 kilometres.

The only aircraft carrier in India is currently undergoing repairs and will be operational in the coming months. The decision to build INS Vishal as a replacement for INS Vikramaditya indicates that the third aircraft carrier project is still on the table. Instead, it will take place simultaneously to ensure that there is no void when the INS Vikramaditya is decommissioned and put into storage.
