Starting with characteristics that inspire awe and ranging to acts that make the blood boil. Let’s discover the secrets of the heart and go on a quest to find the ways to win a woman’s love this Valentine’s Day.

5 Things Women Love in Men

1. Confidence

Confidence benefits you personally and creates a sense of connection with the women around you. When you are confident, women will crave you because you are unafraid to:

  • Take risks
  • Speak your mind
  • Stand up for your belief

2. Humour

Although you don’t have to write comedy or perform stand-up comedy to get a woman’s attention, it helps to be silly, joke around, and have a good sense of humour. According to research on the connection between romance and humour, a woman was likely to be romantically interested in a man who tried to be funny and got laughs from his jokes.

3. Honesty

A woman finds a man much more attractive and desirable when he demonstrates honesty and reliability. People can trust a man who speaks from the heart and is trustworthy, sincere, and truthful. If these qualities are present in him, he’s someone worth pursuing. Relationships can grow more robust when there is trust and reliability. After all, a woman needs to feel confident in her partner’s ability to support her long-term, just as he should be able to do the same for her.

4. Respect

Both partners must respect one another for the relationship to be successful, happy, and healthy. A woman is more likely to break up with a man to prevent having a broken heart if she feels mistreated, disposable, or taken advantage of. When a person is made to feel disrespected or patronised, the relationship is likely to end sooner rather than later. A man who treats a woman with kindness and respect will have her attraction and love.

5. Responsibility

Women value nothing more than responsibility and commitment in a relationship. To succeed with women, reflect on your life and strive to live as a responsible man who can care for himself and his loved ones.

Review of Lal Salaam: Rajinikanth’s performance makes this long but respectable film better

sachin |

Superstar Rajinikanth’s most recent project, “Lal Salaam,” which was directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, is still doing well at the box office after earning Rs 9.98 crore in revenue in just three days of its premiere. Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that on Day 3, February 11, the movie took in Rs 3.18 crore, marginally less than it took on its opening day. As a result, the weekend’s total revenue is now Rs 6.43 crore, of which Rs 3.25 crore was collected on Saturday.

Lal Salaam movie synopsis: Lal Salaam explores the politicization of popular sport in a village context by weaving a tale centred on religion and cricket. The film depicts the long-standing rivalry between Thiru (Vishnu Vishal) and Moideen bhai (Rajinikanth), starting when they are young and continuing to the village cricket field. Vikranth, Rajinikanth, and Vishnu Vishal play essential roles in the film.

Review of Lal Salaam: Throughout the first part of her feature debut, Aishwarya Rajinikanth demonstrates her ability to create tender moments on screen delicately and effectively. Lal Salaam is another example of how she proves this. But, Aishwaryaa restricts these intimate moments for a plot that tackles a more significant issue, just as she did with 3. It’s a beautiful scene where Rajinikanth (Moideen Bhai) pretends to be a bowler playing cricket with his batter son (Vikranth).

Unfortunately, Aishwaryaa mainly decides to leave these scenes out of the movie to concentrate more on the central conflict. Even when she focuses on these moments, the scenes keep going, particularly when a family converses over dinner. Watching these scenes makes us, the audience, happy, but it gets a little annoying when they keep happening.

The greatest threat to Lal Salaam is its runtime. These moments are short, as the lengthy, uncut scenes don’t have any relevance to the plot later on. Consequently, it creates the impression that the narrative could be more active.

Lal Salaam focuses mainly on the gap between Muslims and Hindus and religious unrest. We must commend the film for its politics. However, the way the conflict was settled could have used more subtlety. More than just a convenient piece of writing it could have been.

A significant factor in preventing the movie from feeling jarring is the dignified cinematography of Vishnu Rangasamy. Instead of serving as a plot device, AR Rahman’s songs work well as standalone tracks.

It is unavoidable to say that the movie would have been more compelling with Rajinikanth. His captivating presence undoubtedly elevates al-Salaam. However, the ensemble—led by a superb Vishnu—is excellent, so he doesn’t have to carry the weight of promoting the movie alone.

Farmers protest in Delhi: Traffic Diversion to NH44, Rohtak and Ghaziabad

sachin |

Just before the farmers’ ‘Dilli Chalo’ protest, the Delhi Traffic Police had sent out a warning to the public. There will be detours near the Singhu Border (Delhi-Haryana), according to the police. The upcoming protest is for the demand of MSP, because it is one of the requirements farmers had set when they decided to end their agitation in 2021 was a law guaranteeing MSP for their produce. Hundreds of farmers from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh have called for a march on February 13 (Tuesday) to protest this demand.

The Delhi Police has set up barricades, laid nails across busy roads, and stationed cranes and earthmovers to guard the Punjabi border areas of Singhu, Ghazipur, and Tikri to keep farmers from entering the city. Farmers staged a nearly year-long sit-in protest against the three farm laws at these same entry points, after a year centre withdrew all the three laws which helped in the ending of protest.

While farmer unions have called for a protest march to Delhi on Tuesday, the Delhi police have begun making preparations, announcing several diversions for Monday & Tuesday and putting the entire North East district under prohibitory orders. Farmers said they would make a final decision on whether to proceed or not only after meeting with Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, and Minister of State Nityanand Rai in Chandigarh on Monday.

In order to prevent any untoward incidents and uphold law and order, the Delhi Police (Northeast district) on Sunday invoked CrPC Section 144, which primarily forbids the gathering of people at the borders between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh and nearby areas — under the jurisdiction of Northeast Delhi.

Traffic route during protest

Delhi to Ghaziabad via the Ghazipur border

Pushta Road to the front of the Akshardham temple or Patparganj Road/Mother Dairy Road are likely to be used by commuters. Vehicles travelling on NH-44 toward Haryana may use or detour via Dasna, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, Hapur Road, GT Road, Delhi Meerut Expressway, and Dabur Chowk.

The traffic advisory states that heavy trucks and commercial vehicles heading towards Bahadurgarh and Rohtak via the Rohtak Road are advised to use Najafgarh Nangloi Road from Nangloi Chowk to enter Haryana through the Najafgarh Jharoda border due to diversions around the Tikri border.

National Highway 44 will be used by interstate buses heading to Sonipat, Panipat, and Karnal, among other places, to travel from ISBT to Majnu ka Tilla, Signature Bridge, Khajuri Chowk, Loni Border, and KMP via Khekra.

It is recommended that HGV vehicles heading to Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, and other destinations via NH-44 take Exit number 2 (DSIIDC) and follow the route to the Harish Chander Hospital crossing, then proceed to Bawana Road crossing, Bawana Chowk, Auchandi Road, reaching the Auchandi border, KMP, and Saidpur Chowki.

Qatar released eight former Indian Navy officers who were on death row.

sachin |

According to the Indian government, eight Indian naval officers who had been given the death penalty after being accused of espionage have been freed from Qatar. As per the statement released by the foreign ministry on Monday morning, seven of the eight Indian officers had already left for home. The statement read, “The release of eight Indian nationals who were detained in Qatar while working for the Dahra Global company is welcomed by the government of India.”

“Of the eight, seven have gone back to India. We are grateful that the Amir of the State of Qatar allowed these citizens to be released and return home. Eight Indian officers were found guilty of espionage in August 2022 and given the death penalty in October of the same year.

The released naval officers expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian government for their “personal intervention”. “We are happy that we have returned to India safe and sound,” one of the freedmen told the Indian news agency. We want to express our gratitude to the Amir of Qatar for enabling this and to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his direct intervention in making this possible.

“We wouldn’t be standing in front of you if it weren’t for the intervention at the highest level and the relentless efforts of the government of India,” stated an additional person who was quoted.

The eight men were named Commander Purnendu Tiwari, Captain Birendra Kumar Verma, Captain Navtej Singh Gill, Captain Saurabh Vasisht, Commander Sugunakar Pakala, Commander Sanjeev Gupta, Commander Amit Nagpal, and Sailor Rajesh. The men worked for a consulting firm called Al Dahra, which counsels Qatar’s government on purchasing submarines. India had previously declared that it was “deeply shocked” to learn of the death sentences and that it would discuss the decision with the authorities in Qatar.

A Delhi court summons Zomato for the “false practice” of delivering food from “iconic restaurants.”

sachin |

In a civil lawsuit seeking a restraining order to stop the company from offering users the ability to order “hot and authentic food” from “iconic restaurants” all over the nation’s capital, a court in this location has summoned Zomato, a food delivery application.

The court was hearing a plea from a resident of Gurugram who said Zomato was delivering fresh food from popular restaurants under its ‘Dilli ke Legends’ sub-category, a “false and fraudulent” practise.

Civil Judge Umesh Kumar recently issued an order saying, “Issue summons of the suit and notice of application.” The plea claims that on October 24 last year, Sourav Mall ordered food from three restaurants in Jangpura, Kailash Colony, and Jama Masjid. He then tracked the delivery partner and discovered that the order was picked up from the “unknown and unnamed” location rather than the original restaurant.

Why was the food picked up from a nearby location when there isn’t a restaurant partner branch there? Why isn’t the food delivered in the restaurant partner’s original packaging? What is the assurance that the restaurant partner prepared the food? How can one be sure that the food is hot and freshly prepared? Said the plea.

It went on to say that Zomato’s 30-minute food delivery from famous Delhi restaurants to locations in Gurugram and Noida was “inexplicable”.

The complaint stated, “Such representation to users, customers or patrons of Zomato, is indeed intended to deceive the public.” Under the Code of Civil Procedure, the plea was filed as a “representative suit” for multiple impacted parties (CPC). On March 20, the case was posted pending further action.

Goa’s ST community vows to boycott Lok Sabha polls and demands a political quota.

sachin |

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced last week that the next state elections, set for 2027, will see the implementation of reservations for Scheduled Tribes (STs) in the Assembly.

Sawant informed the Assembly that his government had written to the Union Home Ministry and Law Ministry on February 7 to start the process of forming a delimitation commission to identify and determine Assembly segments which would be reserved for the STs in response to a “calling attention” motion made by the opposition MLAs. The chief minister said he would discuss the matter with Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi.

What is the issue, and what is the new?

Last week, members of the tribal community marched towards the Assembly demanding ST-reserved seats when they were stopped by the police, following which a government delegation met. In Goa, the Scheduled Tribes have voting rights in panchayat, municipality, and Zilla parishad elections but not in assembly elections.

In May of last year, a group of sixteen ST organizations called Mission Political Reservation for STs of Goa unanimously passed a resolution threatening to boycott elections if their demand was unmet. This resolution coincided with Sawant’s assurance and the renewed focus on the issue ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The Assembly considered the matter in July 2023 and approved a private member’s resolution advocating for ST reservations in the House. The resolution stated, “These communities (STs) deserve to be brought into the mainstream, need support to ensure that the community is empowered and educated, and therefore need a larger political representation to achieve the same.”

Chief of the Goa Forward Party (GFP), Vijay Sardesai, declared on Saturday that he would keep up his vociferous advocacy for the long-standing and “justified” demand of the ST community. The weak justifications and hollow promises made by the federal and state governments reveal the ruling party’s chronic indifference to the rights and welfare of native Goans. He declared in the House, “I will not give up until the community’s rights, guaranteed by the Constitution, are acknowledged and respected.

What role do the STs play in Goa politics?

According to the 2011 Census, the state has 40 Assembly constituencies, one of which (Pernem) is set aside for Scheduled Castes (SCs), who comprise 1.74% of the state’s population.

Tribals numbered 566 in the 2001 Census, but after the Gawdas, Kunbis, and Velips were granted ST status in 2003, their numbers rose to approximately 1.49 lakh in 2011. They are believed to be heavily represented in Quepem, Sanguem, Priol, and Nuvem, the four Assembly constituencies. None of the 40 seats, though, are ST-reserved.

The BJP’s Shripad Yesso Naik represents the North Goa Lok Sabha constituency, which includes Priol. Francisco Sardinha of the Congress represents the South Goa Lok Sabha seat, which provides for Quepem, Sanguem, and Nuvem.
