Vivek Bhadra, channelizing his acting potential to create magic on screen

The India Saga Saga |

“Theatre is the base for any emerging actor, if you are well versed as a theatre artist you are ready to roll in the industry”, says actor Vivek Bhadra.

Theatre has existed for millennia. It’s one of the oldest types of entertainment, providing insight into our pasts, mythology, and the human condition. Theatre, being the oldest enchantment of the Indian Cinema has contributed to providing an immersive viewing experience for the audience. It is a proven thought that before becoming an actor one must start with theatre to manifest a command over their acting skills. One such producer, director, and actor is Vivek Bhadra who, understanding the potential in theatre, carved his way to the enormous world of entertainment.

This person from Jamnagar has been known to create content for a variety of OTT Platforms. Having a love for theatre, he has done many plays on various social causes. Talking about his journey and experience, Vivek Bhadra, the founder of Apurnaviram Entertainment shares the insights of his journey as an actor and producer.

Q1) How did you start your journey in the film industry?

I have always been keen on working in the theatre. And, for the same, I started my journey as a theatre artist from Jamnagar,  Gujarati theatres. There I have done many shows which talk about social causes and issues. I have worked in 56 theatres and have gained immense appreciation for the same. Though the starting has been difficult, with time people started loving my work. Raghav Diwan and I started our journey together in 2009, as I had my own Event Management Company. Raghav worked as a magician for the company and from there we dreamt of working together on some big projects and were able to turn our dreams into reality.

Q2) When you got settled in the industry, how was your experience?

As everyone is very well aware, the entertainment industry isn’t kind to everyone. It requires a lot of patience and dedication to settle even a single foot inside. I won’t say otherwise for me. Continuously bringing creative and innovative ideas to the table, I made sure there was no lacking in my hard work. Owing to it all, the industry offered me a plethora of opportunities to flourish, and hence I could say that my experience overall has been very fulfilling. From theatre to movie it was a very swift transition, and till now I have done two films as an actor but as a producer, I have done more than 50 films. And, currently, I am running my own company Apurnaviram Entertainment.

Q3) Did you face any difficulties at the start of your journey?

I feel that if you are a skilled theatre artist, you will have no problems or challenges. Any actor who wants to succeed in the entertainment sector must start with theatre. You are ready to roll in the profession with ease if you have a clear understanding of acting and are familiar with the minor abilities of acting. If you have prior acting experience before beginning to work in films, it will increase your abilities and help you become the best actor in the field.

Q4) Are you currently working on some projects?

In the last four months, I have produced 4 projects some of which are still in process. I have worked on films like ‘Bread’ with Raghav Diwan, and ‘Metamorphosis’ which was released on HotStar, and have also done a film- ‘Meri Pyari Rachna’. Currently, I and Raghav are together working on many projects for the OTT platforms like Sony liv, Hotstar, Amazon, Jio cinemas, Voot, etc. Apart from that, we have shot together with one film in the beautiful city of Kalimpong that has been one of my most prized creations. I also produced a short film ‘Ladies First’ with my partner Jigar Gori under the banner of Blackeye Entertainment LLP and Chai Stories LLP that focused on the struggles of the women workforce in our country.

Q5) What would you advise budding artists who want to enter the industry?

The most important thing to hold onto is ‘believe in yourself’. There would be instances where you would feel like maybe this path is not for you to tread on. But, trust me, it is never like that. There always is light at the end of the tunnel. Your persistence is the prerequisite of the entertainment industry. Never fear or forget to put forth your ideas and work on them yourself even if no one else is assisting you. And, that is exactly how you will ace the competition in this realm.

The actor and producer Vivek Bhadra is inherently passionate to produce content that adds value to the life of people. With a vision to make the culture of OTT Platforms more prominent in the state of Gujarat, Vivek has been working tirelessly to put out a good expression among people. With such a creative and artistic mind at the helm of creation, the revolution in theatre and Cinema is not so far.

Presales is an exponential need in digital economy: Pradeep Agarwal elaborates

The India Saga Saga |

In a world where everything is equally excellent and backed by technology, the need of the hour is to cope up with change. Currently, the civilization is at a central point of raging tornado which is quickly evolving with digitization, mobilization, automation, augmentation, and so on. Pradeep Agarwal Oracle, explains the need for companies to focus on presales in the digital economy and how they benefit businesses.

He explains, “Consider a self-driving car and a computer that can learn and think. The way we work will never be the same again. Also, if such technologies overtake, the need for upskill would also rise dramatically.” Mr. Pradeep AgarwalOracle adds, “It matters how we discover new opportunities in one of the most transformational times in the face of history. To succeed in a digital era, a company should opt for a technology not just as a support function, but as a strategic competency.”

Today, this opportunity has been brought forward by the pandemic. Remote working has become a new normal and presales in digital economy has also risen to the occasion. Since running business face-to-face is not an option during the pandemic, it’s uncertain to say if things will ever return to the way they were, now that we are exposed to a different way of selling.

Millions across the world are feeling the effects of this outbreak. However, some industries are apparently less affected. Depending on which side of the tech industry they exist, the infectious agent is either a boon or a bane for businesses. Likewise, as people opt to or are forced to stay home, they have turned to apps like Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams to connect with their colleagues and other shopping and delivery apps to manage their household work.

Seeing that the budget has shifted in many cases, sellers realize that greater returns on investments come from allowing people to work from remote locations. A technical seller saves an ample amount of money unnecessarily spent on travel, food, and hotel when dealing from home.

Pradeep Agarwal Oracle believes, to map product value an executive needs a technical seller who is highly informed and proficient in the products and servicing. A presale provides essential details and context on product capabilities, which helps to make the sale. Without presales to provide information, an executive will drown in data.

Enablement is another important factor that benefits from presales in the digital economy. It arms technical sellers with the latest product and solution information, which makes them more efficient while selling. Improved equipment, assets, and training give them an edge while dealing with the buyers. Retention of presales experts is necessary for companies that look forward to be on top and usher their dominance in the industry.

Also, buyers play a key role in productive technical selling, while vendors must keep in mind their expectations at the time of interaction. Pradeep Agarwal says, “Buyers fall for best offers rather than gimmicks and sales script. A presale professional must be well informed and able to express the product value clearly.” Adding to that he says, “They expect vendors to be experts when it comes to time management. Both, the seller’s and the buyer’s time has to be valued. To follow that, they must be proficient in delivering the content when prompted to do so.”

In simple terms, digital transformation is reinventing businesses. Every enterprise must get used to functioning in the digital economy to sustain the competition. It is not just about technology, but also about redefining the entire business strategy and keeping up with the trend.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim and 4 others sentenced to life imprisonment in a murder case

The India Saga Saga |

Dera Sacha Sauda chief, Gurmeet Ram Rahim along with four others sentenced to life imprisonment in a 19 year old murder case.

A special CBI court in Panchkula, on Monday, awarded Dera Sacha Sauda chief, Gurmeet Ram Rahim and four others in a 19 year old murder case of former manager of the organisation, Ranjit Singh. The other accused in the case are Avtar Singh, Krishna Lal, Jasbir Singh and Sabdil Singh. One of the accused, Inder Sain, died during the trial in 2020.

The court of special CBI judge Dr Sushil Kumar Garg on October 8 had held Gurmeet Ram Rahim and 4 others under Sections 302 (murder) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further, Sabdil Singh and Jasbir Singh were held guilty under the Arms Act. Special CBI judge Sushil Kumar Garg observed that dera head Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s social welfare activities cannot absolve him from criminal liability and awarded life imprisonment.

In his detailed judgement, the judge said, “Social Welfare activities could not absolve accused Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh from his criminal liability, for, the law does not permit any person to take away the life of anybody and then to plead leniency on the ground of social welfare works done by him or at his instance.” The court also ordered Ram Rahim to pay a Rs 31 lakh fine. The other convicts will also pay fines- Sabdil has been told to pay Rs 1.5 lakh, Krishnan and Jasbir must pay Rs 1.25 lakh each and Avtar must pay Rs 75,000. Fifty percent of the amount will go to Ranjit Singh’s family. A sixth accused in the case died a year ago.

The case dates back to 2002  in which the victim was shot dead by four assailants on July 10, 2002, at his native Khanpur Kolian village in Kurukshetra district. According to the CBI charge sheet, the dera chief had suspected that he was behind the circulation of an anonymous letter, highlighting sexual exploitation of his female followers in the dera. As per the statement of Khatta Singh (Dera chief’s former driver and prosecution witness) before the court, on June 16, 2002, he had hatched a conspiracy to kill him.

The victim’s son expressed satisfaction over the verdict in the case.

Pakistani Army Chief Qamar Bajwa pays a visit to ISI headquarters

The India Saga Saga |

In the midst of a disagreement with the civilian administration over the spy chief’s appointment. General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Pakistan’s army chief, paid a visit to the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) headquarters on Monday.

Pakistani Army Chief Qamar Bajwa pays a visit to ISI headquarters amid a controversy over the choice of a spy chief. The civilian administration and the military are at odds over the spy chief’s selection. Pakistan’s army chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, made a visit to the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) headquarters on Monday.

On October 6, the powerful Army issued a statement announcing that ISI Director General Lt Gen Faiz Hamid had been replaced by Lt Gen Nadeem Ahmed Anjum in a high-level military reshuffle. However, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s office declined to release a notification of the new ISI chief’s appointment.

On October 12, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry admitted the existence of disagreements over the critical appointment for the first time. Despite statements from ministers that the situation had been handled and that the new ISI chief will be appointed soon, the matter has not been resolved until today.

General Bajwa, the Chief of Army Staff, paid a visit to the ISI Headquarters and was greeted by Lt Gen Hamid, according to the Army. According to an official release, the “COAS was informed on the Internal Security and continuing situation in Afghanistan,” and he expressed satisfaction with the organization’s readiness. The Army’s media wing also released a photo of General Bajwa and Lt Gen Hamid presiding over a meeting.

When Lt Gen Muhammad Aamer gained charge as the new Gujranwala Corps Commander, he paid a visit. He took the place of Lt Gen Syed Asim Munir, who was named Quartermaster General. The military announced Lt Gen Aamer’s nomination as the Gujranwala Corps Commander on October 6, along with six other appointments, including the ISI chief.

It demonstrated that the process of putting the October 6 decision into effect had already begun. However, because Lt Gen Hamid was appointed to the role after the election, it was unclear when he would take charge as Peshawar Corps Commander.
