On Tuesday, during talks between German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius and Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to improve bilateral defence cooperation with a clear focus on stronger industrial partnerships, Germany proposed building six modern submarines in India under the government’s strategic partnership (SP) model, to increase the Indian Navy’s underwater strength. The project named P-75 will be one of the largest Make in India programmes. One of the officials asking not to be named stated, “The Germans are very excited about their contribution to making submarines in the nation. The Indian side welcomes their participation wholeheartedly.”

According to a statement from the Indian defence ministry, both leaders reviewed the ongoing bilateral defence cooperation and looked into measures to improve it, most prominently in defence-industrial partnerships. The German defence minister’s visit to India is the country’s first in eight years. To be sure, the P-75I was not included in the official announcement. The estimated 43,000 crore project was approved by India two years ago with the goal of enhancing the navy’s capabilities and advancing the government’s top priority of defence indigenization.

According to the SP model, a strategic partner from India would work with a foreign OEM to establish production facilities in the nation and build significant defence platforms domestically.”ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) is offering to sell us six submarines, but the process is not yet complete. In an unexpected turn of events, the joyous occasion of a high school graduation in Richmond, Virginia, turned into a scene of horror when seven people were shot there on Tuesday in Huguenot High School. The town was in a state of shock and amazement after the occurrence, which took place on a bright summer evening. The authorities said that two people were killed and a number of others were injured.

An 18-year-old guy and a 36-year-old male were the two people who lost their life, Chief Richard Edwards, the acting chief of Richmond Police Department, stated during the press conference. The victims’ names have not been made public by the authorities. He said that five further people were shot and among those one had life-threatening wounds. He also added that several other patients had been sent to nearby hospitals with wounds other than gunshot wounds, including one who had been ‘hit by a car during the melee.’ 

At a news conference on Tuesday night, Rick Edwards said that a male suspect aged 19, was in custody. He stated, “We believe the suspect knew at least one of the victims.” It was found that a second person who had been taken into custody earlier was not responsible for the shooting, thus, was released. 

The incident occured nearly at 5:15 pm outside the Altria Theatre. The interim chief of Police said that the officers inside the venue previously heard gunshots and came running to the scene, by much distress, they found many victimes of the shooting suffering severe wounds. 

Two people were killed among which is a 18-year-old male and a 36-year-old male, Chief Edwards told the sources. The authorities are refraining from releasing any identity of the victims.  As a happy event turned into a bloody one, people around the Richmond Monroe Park also got hurt while trying to leave the premise of shooting, including a 9-year-old girl who was hit by a car. Aside from 2 killed, five more people including – a 14-year-old boy and four men ranging in age from 31 to 58 suffered gunshot wounds. Four of those injured had non-serious injuries, according to Chief Police.

There was a statement issued on the website of Richmond Public Schools on Tuesday evening that addressed the families and staff members associated with the institute saying that after the Huguenot High School graduation ceremony, a shooting also took place in Monroe Park. This message declared that all the public schools in the city will select a cautionary measure starting Wednesday. 

Many people shared their views on the terrifying events that took place. Some even said that they were tired of seeing people get shot. People also reacted on how this community needs to stop with such massacres. 

It is not unknown that after every such mass shooting in America, the political drama mounts the battle. Democrats call out the government for not instigating strict gun control measures on the community such as prohibiting assault structured weapons and pointing out how this country is alone among the industrial nations that has a greater gun violence rate. 

While the counter point appears when Republicans claim the right to possess firearms is installed in the US Constitution and that the new gun contol legislation will be a counterproductive decision. After all this, the US government never seems to mend its ways on a national level. 

The conclusion drawn from this cause is that the political calculus commutes in Congress or among other states that are not agreeing with the gun-control legislation, it is important to understand how this battle will be a long one in the Courts.

Anurag Thakur, India’s Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, stated via Twitter that the national government is open to having a “discussion” with protesting wrestlers.

“The administration is open to talking with the wrestlers about their concerns. For the same, I have once more invited the wrestlers,” Thakur said on social media Wednesday night after midnight.

The declaration was made four days after Union Home Minister Amit Shah hosted a group of wrestlers who were protesting at his official residence in the city.

Olympic medalists Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, as well as a number of coaches, reportedly attended the meeting, which reportedly lasted more than two hours and finished after midnight. “There was a meeting with the Home Minister. I can’t comment further,” Bajrang had told the sources.

They are calling for the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the head of the Wrestling Federation of India, on charges of sexual harassment and misconduct.

She spent almost 11 years working at NBCUniversal, where she held roles like chairman of advertising and client partnerships and president of cable entertainment and digital ad sales. During her leadership, the business sold more than USD 100 billion worth of advertising, according to sources. 

Yaccarino reportedly began her job as an NBC Universal intern before moving up the corporate ladder. She started working at Warner Bros.-owned production business Turner Entertainment in 1992.
